Future Star Wars Sets

I would love to see some sets along the lines of Assault on Hoth, but reasonably priced, and not UCS labelled. They could be called Invasion Series, or Attack Packs, and one of the year's battle packs could be made to coincide with the Attack Pack.

These could be pretty cool, but I feel like some of them seem unbalanced/ vehicle heavy.

I know it's been said many times before, but I'd really like to see a new Ghost.  The last version is ridiculously expensive on the secondary market, and there is a lot of room for aesthetic, if not structural, improvement.  I couldn't care less about Rebels minifigures, but more Rogue One rebel soldiers would never go amiss!

It would be a good candidate for a large UCS set, were it not for the fact that a minifigure-scale Ghost would be even larger than the UCS Millennium Falcon, and I am not paying $1000 for a Ghost, no matter how big it is!

I cannot tell you how much I want a minifigure scale ghost. It's a beautiful ship, and although boring and childish at first the rebels show darkens and matures into a very good show by seasons 3-4. it would definately make a nice UCS model, too, though as you say probably not to scale with the ucs falcon.

Yeah, I could replace a tank droid with a Christophsis tower, and the mini AT-TE with some of the Utapau hangar. I tried to find a balance between what Lego would reasonably include, and what would make a good "battle in a box".

To be honest, I actually love the Rebels show, I just have no interest in Rebels-specific minifigures since I missed out on all the original sets.
But actually, if the dubious rumors of the Rebels sequel Disney Plus show are true, our chances of getting a new Ghost (albeit almost certainly not minifigure scale) will go up greatly!

So since the summer sets have had a bit more info released (we know 1/6, and we have approximate ideas of how big in size the sets will be), here's my predictions for it:

The rumors at the moment seem to suggest 3 smaller sets around $20-30, two medium sets around $60-80, and a large set around $150.  We know Grievous's starfighter is one of the medium sets.

TROS spoiler inside:

Duel on Exegol, $29.99.  Includes Palpatine's chair, a small build of the cloning tank thing, and perhaps a smaller Sith statue.  Minifigures are Palpatine, Ben Solo, and Rey

A small set vehicle-based set from The Siege of Mandalore, maybe some sort of speeder similar to the one we got with Maul a few years ago.  Tough to say without having seen the show yet.  Minifigures would be as appropriate to the vehicle, but probably one "flagship" character (Ahsoka/Maul), maybe a secondary character (Bo Katan?) and an unnamed character (Death Watch, Clone, etc).  $29.99

CIS Tank Droid, $29.99.  Includes the droid, a Wookiee warrior, a battle droid, and Luminara Unduli.  Pretty much the same as the one from 2013, just Kashyyk based this time, with the main attraction being Unduli, just like Jango with the Geonosis one.

B-Wing Starfighter, $79.99.  Includes Ten Numb, Rebel Pilot, and General Nadine.  Also includes a small docking platform.

Grievous's Starfighter, price TBD, I'm sure most people have already seen the leaks.

Republic Gunship, $150.  Includes Obi-Wan, Anakin (both ROTS clothing), Captain Rex (Phase II), Clone pilot, Death Watch Mandalorian, and possibly one other figure.

Brickset had an article which made me want some battle packs:

Royal Security: Captain Typho, Naboo Royal Guard (1x Male, 1x Female, sleek helmet), Naboo Security Officer (Blue and Maroon). Small Flash Speeder

Gungan Army: 4 Gungan Warriors (various designs). Molded Kaadu with Chariot.

Jedi Strike Team: Joclad Danva, Coleman Trebor, Sarrissa Jeng, Roth-Del Masona (unamed in the BP, but clearly modeled after).

Arena Defenders: Poggle, Sun Fac, Geonosian Drone, Geonosian Warrior.

Geonosis Troopers: Clone Commander, Clone Trooper (x3).

Mygeeto Troopers: Clone Commander (Bacara-helmet, plain markings), Galactic Marine (2x Red, 1x Plain)

Felucia Troopers: Captain Deviss, 327th Clone Trooper (x3)

Coruscant Troopers: 501st Clone Trooper (x2), Shock Trooper, 41st Clone Trooper (Grey)

Battle Droids: 4x Battle Droids, 3x Super Battle Droids. STAP and Crab Droid.

Wookie Warriors: Merumeru, Wookie Warrior (2x Helmeted, 1x regular). Ornithopter.

Separatist Allies: Umbaran Militia (x2), Trandoshan, Neimoidian Warrior.

Specialist Clone Troopers: ARF Trooper (Geonosis), SpecOps Clone Trooper (x2, Jet's Battalion), Clone Flame Trooper (Geonosis)

Specialist Droids: Commando Droids (x3), Commando Droid Captain. Droidekas (x2)

Clone Cadets ($19.99): Hevy, Cutup, Droidbait, Echo, Fives. Higher price for extra figure.

501st Troopers: ARC Trooper Jesse, 501st Clone Trooper (x2), 501st Jet Trooper.

Death Watch: Bo-Katan, Pre Viszla (Seasons 4-5), Nite Owl, Death Watch Soldier.

Shadow Collective: Mandalorian Super Commando Captain, Super Commando (Rook Kast), Pyke Syndicate Agent, Black Sun Agent.

Scarif Troopers: Shoretrooper Captain, Shoretrooper (x2), Death Trooper (Specialist)

Alderaan Security: Rebel Fleet Trooper (x4).

Yavin IV Pilots: Garven Dreiss, Davish Krail, Evaan Verlaine, John D. Branon.

Hoth Troopers: General Reeikan, Rebel Officer (dark jacket), Hoth Rebel Trooper (x2).

Hoth Pilots: Hobbie Klivian, Wes Janson, Zev Senesca, Will Scotian.

Snowtroopers: AT-AT Pilot, Snowtrooper (x2), Cold Assault Biker Scout (or CABS :smug:)

Endor Pilots: Grizz Frix, Nien Nunb, Ekelarc Yong, Sila Kott

Rebel Commandos: 1 Human Male, 1 Human Female, 1 Zabrak Female, Commander Rex

Endor Troopers: Lt. Renz, Stormtrooper (2x), Scout Trooper.

Ewoks: Wicket, Logray, Black Ewok, Ewok Warrior (2013 figure).

Republic Classes: 1 Clone Naval Officer, 1 Clone Trooper (phase II), 1 Heavy Weapons Clone Trooper, 1 Clone Sharpshooter.

Imperial Classes: 1 Imperial Officer, 1 Stormtrooper, 1 Heavy Weapons Stormtrooper (Essentially a Sandtrooper without the dirt), 1 Biker Scout.

Rebel Classes: 1 Rebel Officer, 1 Zabrak Male (Assault), 1 Sullustan Male (Heavy), 1 Twi'lek Female (Sharpshooter)

And that'll stop me for now. That covers the next 10 years of Lego Star Wars. Of course, none of these'll probably get made. :hmpf_bad:

Maybe build it around the (expected) final duel between Ashoka and Maul, similiar to Duell on Star Killer or Duell on Mustafar?

Since  I somehow missed all of the so far it would be an instant buy for me. Personally I don't like Luminara, but it could be a good oportunity to get her with the 'new' skirt instead of normal legs.

Really love those Geonosian Arena style sets!

That Solar Sailor surely wouldn’t be that expensive!? Imagine Lego introducing a parachute material accurate to the films. Would be incredible but will never happen unfortunately.

Forum, how do you feel about Jedi: Fallen Order sets? Would personally love a BD-1 in the same UCS style as R2-D2 and BB-8.

I would love it for Lego to release a stinger mantis, and a Battle Pack with Purge Troopers and Jaro Tapal's Clones.

In fact:

Stinger Mantis ($119.99): Greez, Cal Kestis, Cere Junda, BD-1, Merrin, Second Sister, Purge Trooper. (Most Likely)

Venator Escape ($24.99): Jaro Tapal, Cal Kestis (padawan), Clone Trooper (Iron Battalion). (Least Likely)

Elite Clone Troopers Battle Pack ($14.99): Purge Trooper (x2), Clone Trooper (x2 Iron Battalion). (Middle of the road)

Maybe another set with the Ninth Sister, and a duel with Vader, Cal, and Cere.

Some battle packs that would be pretty cool could be ones based on the battlefront 2  class system; Assault (normal trooper), heavy, specialist (sniper), officer, then the "reinforcements" of arial (jet trooper), "enforcer" (like a wookie or death trooper), and "infiltrator" (like commando droid)

For instance, we could get packs like:

Republic troops: 1x p2 shiny clone, 1x heavy p2 clone (Pauldron), 1x sniper clone (macrobinocs), 1x clone "officer" (antenne), with infantry turret and small at-rt

Republic reinforcements: Clone jet trooper (red design from game) , clone commando (shiny) (x2), arc trooper ("Cobalt hero" design from game), with terrain and a small BARC

Clear wishlisting, but that's why it's in this thread

Phase II clones are on my top wanted list. Until today, three battle packs were released:

- 75036 (Utapau) based to 100% on a movie

- 75035 (Kashyykk) based to 50 % on a movie and 50 % on other sources

- 75089 (Geonosis) based to 100 % on other sources

I never understood why Lego didn't cover the remaining scenes from "Revenge of the Sith" first, but that's what we got so far.

Then, four years later, we got

- 75206 (Jedis and clones).

To me, 75036 was a great battle pack, and I bought 1+. 75035 was good, but not great. Actually, I liked the 41st Ranger troopers (not from the movie) more than the 41st Elite troopers since I don't like their visor printing.

I didn't buy 75089 since it basically contained the same molds as 75036. I have no idea why Lego decided to release 75089 instead of e. g. a 501st battle pack. If they payed the same fees for the licensing stuff (I have no idea how it works) and if they didn't engage in a live experiment to find out how well clone trooper battle packs from different sources sell (which is unlikely), I simply don't see a good reason for it.

Lego 75206 was a nice set. Basically, it was consistent with the apparent rational behind all other recent phase I clone trooper battle packs - namely 9488 and 75000 - that there shall not be more than two clones in a battle pack. In the case of 75206, picking two Jedi was a good strategy to make sure that not too many people would buy more than one set.

On the other hand, I don't know how well 75036, 75035 and 75089 have sold. Maybe they didn't sell two well, so that it doesn't make sense for Lego to change the composition of battle packs (more than two clones) and/or to release more clone troopers in battle packs or to put effort in this kind of reasoning at all.

Anyway, I still would like to see the clones from "Revenge of the Sith" that didn't make it into lego until today (or since 2007 or in their TCW form):

- Commander Cody,

- 501st legion, preferably with Rex, Fives and Echo in some set,

- 327th, preferably with Commander Bly,

- Galactic Marines, preferably with Commander Bacara,

- Coruscant Guards, preferably with Commander Fox.

I'm undecided how pauldrons, armors and kamas are best realized (printing or additional gear), but I'm sure Lego will figure it out. Plus, for most standard troopers don't wear additional gear anyway. If 3 out of 5 items from my list were made, that would be very great.

That Geonosis-BP was always a weird case in my eyes. Maybe they just needed a second use for the new helmets but had no idea how to use them

That battle pack pissed me off. We had perfectly canon troopers for them to include (Jet's SpecOps, Desert ARF Troopers, Flametroopers), but no... Let's have something completely pulled from Lego's megablocks. :hmpf_bad:

Lego's done some stupid things, but I'll never forgive them for that travesty. They could've made 501st Airbornes, 187th Airbornes, 5th Fleet Airbornes (all in the Hasbro line), something useful. But nope, let's have troops from the non-existent Third Battle of Geonosis.

as @ARC2149Nova says, a 501st pack could use them pretty well. And this was before the #wewanta501stbattlepack, so it's not like there was a reason to hold them back.

Now that we know to expect an AT-AT in the summer, my updated predictions:

General Grievous Starfighter: General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Commander Cody (fingers crossed)

AT-AT: AT-AT Driver, General Veers, Snowtrooper (x2, 2014 Design please), Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Jumpsuit with white gloves), Hoth Rebel Trooper (2016 design please). If they use the action battle figures, the AT-AT is a hard pass for me.

Now to full sets:

Mandalorian Starfighter: Red and Black redesign of Pre Viszla's fighter from 2012. Darth Maul, Ahsoka Tano, Bo-Katan Kryze, Mandalorian Super Commando.

AAT: CIS Blue and Grey version. Sized similar to 8018. Battle Droid (x2), Battle Droid Pilot, Captain Rex, 501st Jet Trooper.

ARC-170: Odd Ball, Clone Pilot, Mace Windu, Astromech Droid.

Anakin's Jedi Interceptor: Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, ARC Trooper Jesse

April's mystery set:

Duel on Exegol: Darth Sidious, Rey, Ben Solo, Cardo, Kuruk

In summary, I now seriously doubt we'll see the Bad Batch, and probably no 332nd troopers (which is fine, they'll likely be one of 2021's battle packs). Duel on Exegol needs to be the fourth set of April, or else it wastes a spot in the Clone Wars wave. No more tan Hoth Rebels please! No more kama-less and backpack-lacking Snowtroopers please! No more X-Wing Jumpsuit Hoth Pilots PLEASE!!! Maul, Ahsoka, and Bo-Katan have to be givens, as are Obi-Wan and Anakin. Rex, Jesse, and a lone Jet Trooper to round out the Clones would be serviceable. The one set I'm up in the air about it the ARC-170. We need it (10 years since the last one), and it's "#safe". Then again, it could be another Homing Spider Droid with Yoda, Tarfful, and a Kashyyyk Trooper . Or, something from the OT, hopefully from Endor, but Hoth is (of course) more likely, especially given the presence of a random AT-AT.

But, it is possible, that the AT-AT is Endor, or *oh2* even Clone Wars related (provided they do something interesting, like show an early AT-AT prototype). But, let's not kid ourselves. Hoth is coming to town, and the AT-AT needs a friend. The AAT is there since the last one was 2015, and "overdo" in Lego's eyes (not like, you know, a Venator, an AT-OT, or something cool and original). However, if it's a 2009 remake, I'll quit my whining and happily fork out the $50 for it . Jedi Interceptor is safe, and the only logical way for them to do Anakin without giving us the Bad Batch. Again, I'm balancing safe sets with necessary figures (well "necessary"). Then too, 5 prequel sets and 1 OT set smells like a trap.

But fingers crossed as always.

You may be right. However, since the arc seems at least be based on, if not identical with, the released story reel, the bad batch's shuttle would make a nice set. Plus, I like the nose art:

It would, but since they apparently chose the Night Buzzard (kill me please :hmpf_bad:) over the Havoc Marauder (the Bad Batch shuttle), I'm guessing 2021 if ever.

One Last Hope for Clone Wars sets:

Battle of Mandalore ($29.99): Ahsoka, Maul, Bo-Katan, 332nd Trooper. Mandalorian Speeder.

AAT ($39.99): Anakin, Battle Droids (x2), Jesse, Jet Trooper.

Tri-Fighter ($29.99): Captain Rex, Battle Droid, Wat Tambor.

You're right about the AAT being $40, at least.  And with some new sets, maybe there's more hope for more mandalore.

So even though the MBS is apparently no more, here's some ideas for other sets that either could've been put under that moniker, or maybe could still be put out eventually, just as retail exclusives that aren't UCS (so as to not cause another uproar).

Battle of Yavin ($299.99)

Primarily a large temple build, similar to the sketch model that pretty much everyone's seen.  The front side is a very displayable temple exterior, includes the rebel in the lookout post.  The interior of the temple would have a large ground floor with midi-scale X-wing and Y-wing fighters and a small ground transport vehicle.  The second level would be the battle viewing room with various computers and the main holographic display on the table.  The third level would be the briefing room with a screen displaying the Death Star plan readouts.  Finally, the top could be the throne room.  Minifigures: Luke (Rebel pilot), Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, General Dodonna, Rebel Trooper 2x, R2-D2, C-3PO, Biggs (Rebel pilot), Jek Porkins (Rebel pilot), Dutch Vander (Rebel Pilot), unspecified other astromech droid, 2x ground crew, Wedge Antillies (Rebel pilot), Mon Mothma.  Depending on the piece count, you could also include a midi-scale TIE fighter and pilot.

Jedi Temple ($399.99)

Probably done similar to the modular buildings in that the roof and various levels lift off in order to access the interior, but still keep it displayable.  Entry level would have the halls with large windows on either side, and a few small rooms to serve as Jedi quarters.  The back half of it would contain the library, containing a small room at the back that represents the Holocron vault.  The second level would have the Jedi council room, a meditation chamber, and the planning room with the large holographic computer and various screens on the walls.  If there's space, maybe a smaller room to represent the room where Yoda trains the younglings.  Minifigures, all based on Ep III: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Yaddle, Shaak Ti, Barriss Offee, Yarael Poof, Jocasta Nu, 4x Temple Guard, 3x younglings, 2x Clone Shock Troopers.

Jabba's Palace ($299.99)

Basically a larger version of the 2013 release.  The main audience chamber would be pretty big and have a smaller side viewing room for Han Solo in carbonite.  The main tower would have the gate incorporated into it, but much wider and taller.  I envision it sort of as an enclosed building with the tower/entrance area coming forward out of the audience chamber.  The two sections could be hinged and swing opposite each other to allow it to open up.  Opposite the section with Han Solo could be a room for the jail cells and the droid room.  I'm not sure if it would include a Rancor pit or not, to be honest, just because of how much stuff the top section would have.  Minifigures: Jabba the Hutt, Salacious Crumb, Bib Fortuna, Luke Skywalker (Jedi), Han Solo (Carbonite piece and figure, there would probably be some sort of switch mechanism so you can "Free him" from the Carbonite), Leia (Boushh disguise with extra hairpiece), C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Lando (guard disguise), Boba Fett, 2x Gamorrean guard, EV-9D9, Max Rebo, Sy Snootles, 2x B'omarr monks, Amanaman, Doallyn, Ree-Yees.

I'd replace Wedge, Porkins, and Dutch for Red Leader (Garven Dreis), Red 4 (John D Branon), and Gold 5 (Davish Krail). That way we're closer to finishing off the Squadrons. Biggs I'm keeping since they screwed up his helmet (such a waste of a mold), and a mustachio'd head with the pilot visor would be sweet

Also, we just got a banger Dutch in the UCS Y-Wing, Porkins is a bit outdated, for sure, but we do have him, and Wedge is technically in the 4+ Snowspeeder (in what's clearly an X-Wing Jumpsuit).
