Okay, sure, I was praising my accuser. But not for the reasons you stated, rather for what I thought were valid grounds for praise. I'm not saying, nor did I say that all of Maurice's behaviour was pro-town, but rather that one specific part. And you never asked for any shroooms, maaan. Yes. Correct. But note again, that Petey continued to be overly defensive through the day, and so it became more suspicious as the day progressed, and so while that reasoning didn't hold ground for me early on, it seemed reasonable as it persisted through the day.

Let me be crystal clear about this: considering what Cameron has publicly said, I no longer think you are scum. Cameron has been quite consistently logical (not to mention his part in Lynching Casey), and by attaching himself to you publicly, with evidence that seems unlikely to be faked (but still possible, I imagine), he has convinced me that you are not scum.

As far as the voting first for a scum thing goes, it is possible. I admit now, it’s unlikely, but it’s not impossible considering how weak the movement was at first. Again though, I think you’re Townie now.

Furthermore, your argument that Maurice and I are both scum is wrong. I'm a Townie. I don’t know if Maurice is scum, and he very well might be from the argument that’s been made against him by you and Cameron. However, I’ve always believed that investigation results, or people being told that someone is for sure scum, should always be tested! Unless you actually have results of night actions that you’re going off, Brigit’s claim must be tested first.

I would like to point out something else too. Cameron brought up that Gibson was suspicious of me two days ago. But what were his grounds for that? Me apparently "aggressively" accusing Horace. Well, I must say, Gordon's accusations of me this morning were pretty aggressive in my eyes... How was my accusations of Horace any different that what you've been doing to me all day? I guess the only difference is that I'm beeing accused by someone who was right yesterday. But the thing is, them being right one time, does not make them right every time. And they are wrong today. And if you lynch me today, you will see so tomorrow. Please tell me that my death will not be in vain? Please tell me you're going to use my death to actually catch some Cultists tomorrow? Look at Horace, look at those who are happily just hopping on the bandwagon without any form of own thoughts about the situation. You're lynching a Villager today by going for me. ROAR, it looks like we've reached a decision. Cameron certainly makes a convincing argument, but I'm not happy with how quick everyone was to jump on the bandwagon. I'll keep my vote where it is, otherwise I'll be kicking myself if Horace does turn out to be a cultist.

I'm hoping we'll learn a lot from Maurice's death tomorrow, but I have a horrible feeling the janitor will try to keep us in the dark (I remember the janitor only struck every 3 days in Spring Haven). Perhaps our watcher should see if they're able to target Maurice tonight to make sure there's no funny business?

This just made me even more sure you are scum. And you're probably sitting there with your Cultist buddies laughing, and thinking you'll win tomorrow, after you janitor me.

Since nobody is listening to me today, I'm going to lay out some thoughts that maybe you'll listen to tomorrow. If they janitor me in the night, PLEASE consider the fact that you can't be certain of my allegiance, and don't just assume I was scum and work off that. That'll make town lose!

Now then. How many scum are left, I wonder? Let me present a hypothesis:
- I assume there were 5 scum to begin with.
- Wallace got himself killed, dropping their number to 4.
- We lynched Carly. But was she really scum? I'm not convinced. And part of the argument for lynching Casey was that she wasn't, so I'm going to assume she was town. No change to the scum number then, still at 4.
- Again, there is no Cultist kill. But on night 2, we have no tellings of a Villager being made to target someone against their free will. Did they convert this night? Not improbable. They lost a member on day 1, it's not surprising if they wanted to regain their strength. Let's say they did, and that's the reason for no cultist kill that night. That makes them 5 again.
- Then only Villagers die until we lynch Casey, bringing the number back down to 4.

Ok, so if we assume this, then there are still 4 Cultists among us! How many are we left? 13. That makes 9 Villagers and 4 Cultists. Then you lynch me, it will be 8 Villagers and 4 Cultists. In the worst case scenario, there will be 3 more Villagers dead in the night, if all the killers are successful, and both the SK and vig target a townie. What's the number then? 5 to 4! Meaning if this happens, and I'm right about the Cultist number, tomorrow will be make or break for Town! Heck, even with just 2 dead townies in the night, it will be 6-4, and still make or break. Just something to keep in mind when you pick your lynch tomorrow... It could be our last chance.

Now, let's roll back to yesterday's votes, color coded for your convenience.

Now, when I voted for Pennie, and then switched my vote to Casey, the vote could still go either way. I believe the Cultists were still hoping they could get Pennie lynched over Casey, but after I switched my vote, the votes piled up against Casey, because the Cultist probably realized then it wasn't going to happen, and wanted to quickly hide in the bandwagon. There are even 3 non-voters yesterday, and one who decided to just vote for someone completely different. I don't think both Horace and Lazlo are scum, given that Lazlo is voting for Horace today, so that leaves two potential scum in the non-voters. So I think there are 4 scum hiding in this list of people:
Shawna, Edgar, Gilda, Pancho, Horace, Mindy, Booker.
Now, this doesn't clear Heidi or Seamus, but Heidi voted for Casey before I did (when the vote could still swing), and Seamus voted first for Pennie, a risky move for scum. There's also one tidbit of interesting context in here: Shawna accused Pennie, but ended up voting for Casey after it was clear that was the way the vote was swinging... Just saying.

Sorry for the wall of text everyone, but I feel like there's nothing left for me to do but to leave you with my thoughts to look at once I'm gone . Maybe I can find some good stories in the afterlife. There should be plenty of people there who have experienced interesting things I can use as inspirat... I mean that I can retell!

On the contrary, I think the reactions to this vote have been very revealing, don't you?  I think we're lynching another Cultist.

I don't recall him saying that.  The word he used was 'tenacious'.  I believe Gibson's reasoning was that you appeared to be accusing Horace on no grounds whatsoever, and had pieced together any rubbish against him.  

Now several people now accusing Horace on the basis of something the Brigit was told by someone.  It is quite possible this person whispering to Brigit is scum.   In light of this, your accusation of Horace - on no concrete evidence and on day three - is interesting, perhaps even alarming.  All throughout this ordeal, you have played the role of the innocent, dumb little mouse, trying so hard with no-one to trust, but this attack on Horace suggests quite strongly that you've been working together with others as part of a sinister plot.  You admitted to talking in private to Brigit; how do we know that you weren't the evil voice whispering in Brigit's ear?

It's also interesting that you don't mention the Janitor today.  Is that because you know that you'll be Janitored?  Or maybe you can't be Janitored, because the Janitor was Casey, or even you?

Well all in all I'm not feeling very confident with today's vote. At the start of the day I was leaning towards Horace based on the few things we'd heard so far against him, such as Brigit's accusation yesterday. However after Cameron's analysis of Maurice's actions I don't feel anywhere near as confident there. A lot of what he said makes sense, and I have the feeling he is a townie after he lead the charge against Casey yesterday so I am going on the assumption that I can take what he has said at face value and not look for manipulation. Looking it over he makes some valid points, and I feel the examples he has pointed out weigh more strongly than what has been pointed out against Horace.

The problem I have is that I still have an underlying suspicion towards Horace, just generally from how he has acted. Not really evidence no, not really something I can point to, but count it as a feeling. I was wrong about Pennie though, so I could well be wrong here too I guess.   I will be very interested in the results of today's vote.

Since I think we will learn the most from Maurice's death, and it will give us a clearer idea of what to do tomorrow, I will vote: Maurice Mouse (Cecilie) based on Cameron's reasoning. He saw as through well yesterday, I think it's the best thing we can do today as well.

Could someone maybe wax my back for me? It would remind me of Becka... I loved how much she wanted my applesauce when she did that.

You have to admit that your vote switch is highly suspicious, after I indicated to you in private how scummy it was to vote for Pennie even though you thought she was town.  You contacted me because you wanted to see if there was a chance Pennie could be lynched over Casey, and changed your vote when you realised it wasn't going to happen.  That does indeed cast suspicion on the later voters; let's see what you are trying to achieve here.

Why isn't Lazlo in that list?  Just because Lazlo and Horace can't both be scum doesn't imply that Horace is and Lazlo isn't.  Otherwise, Booker voted for Casey early on, then switched his vote to Pennie because Pennie pushed him to.  That by no means clears Booker, but it shows that you have to look at voting behaviour, not just the final vote tally.

Actually, Seamus didn't vote first for Pennie.  That was Pancho, who later changed his vote to Booker.

You're not funny at all Cameron . I have been nothing but honest this entire time. I was not the one whispering to Brigit. And how can you be so certain it was an evil voice? Why would someone go through all the trouble to frame Horace?

Another day is ending in Winter Haven and another citizen has been sentenced to death. There is much anger still being directed at sad, meek Maurice Mouse as he sits on the edge of the fountain waiting sadly and patiently for his death.

"You switched your vote real fast," One accuser yells.

"You keep saying you're lonely with nobody to trust," Another accuser accuses. "How Scummy is that??"

"You've never made me a peanut butter sandwich," A third accuser complains.

"You called the statue Allan Albatross for one story and Samuel Seagull for the next," A fourth accuser scoffed. "How could it be both??"

"The Village Square fountain?" Marcellus asks, "That's the eagle, of course. Ethan Eagle, as in The Great Age of the Eagle!"

Maurice Mouse's wheels are turning. "The Eagle..." he whispers.

"You better shut your mouth, Scummy," Gordon Gorilla sneers. "You're nothing but a stupid, meek, little mouse!"

"Listen, punk!" Maurice growls as he bounds up and gets in Gordon's face. "I may be stupid and I may be meek and little and I may be a mouse..."

"Wait, where was I going with this?" Maurice pauses.

"Ah, whatever," Maurice says and opts to just punch Gordon in the face. Gordon does him the favor of leaning into it a bit since Fabuland arms don't extend quite far enough to truly punch.

"And you," Maurice sneers at Shawna Sheep, "Little Miss Sheep..."

But then Maurice remembers it's not polite for a man to punch a woman.

So, he kicks her instead.

Finally, he grabs Cameron Cockodile by the collar and pulls him face to face.

"Eeep!" Cameron squeaks.

"Tell me my death won't be in vain!" Maurice bellows into Cameron's ear.

"Whaaaaa?" is Cameron's frightened reaction.

Maurice throws Cameron to the ground.

"Mommy!" Cameron cries.

"If I turn up as an innocent Villager tomorrow," Maurice says with full intensity, "Promise me you'll listen to what I've said. You're a smart man, Cameron, and I really like you. But you've got a stubborn streak and it's going to cost you today. If you find out I'm a Villager, heed my words and some day this Village will tell the story of Maurice Mouse the Brave! The mouse who never stopped fighting for the Village he loved even when the Village turned on him. Death to the Cultists!!!!"

And then an ugly thing happens. Spurred by the theme of "Death to the Cultists" and the fact that the Villagers do not appreciate Maurice's sudden violent turn, Maurice is literally lynched...

It was an ugly thing for happy, adorable animals to participate in, but desperate times call for desperate measures. The lynchers hover around the tree for a while, somewhat dazed and experiencing a bit of lyncher's remorse. They were all agreed that it was Maurice who had to go...but they are out of sorts at how ugly it got.

Nobody notices a body washing up on the riverbank.
