LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

Recommended Posts

Why do the other 16 come out so soon afterwards? Doesn't seem they are supposed to be in the market for 12 months or even longer. Guess they are developed for being rare. But since we all know what printed minifig parts cost, this leads to my 2nd question:

Will the come assembled, so they are made in China and contain cheap elements?

What themes will the 2nd run cover? Pirates, Castle? And will I be able to put my hands on these or do I have to pay 15$ on BL for the Zombie??

If I may ask, where is the proof these are figures I thought they were collectible buttons?

Well my source was pretty specific about it being minifigs. If this would turn out to be just a series of badges with minifigs printed on them for 25 SEK (2.5 USD/EUR) I predict that it'll be a massive fail. Because that would just be ridicously expensive.

Sure the pictures we've seen are said to be on colector badges but I think it's likely that it's the same 16 figs as will be in this series.

One can only hope for a good Bluecoat... Anyway, seeing the diversity in these, plus things like the Indian, I say that we will very likely see at least one Pirate and one Castle fig.
And will I be able to put my hands on these or do I have to pay 15$ on BL for the Zombie??
Are you asking if the first run stops when the secand starts? I think it does, from my understanding of things.

Beat me to it Oky...

I'm positive they won't have assorted parts now, otherwise why would they put complete figs on the carton?

If you look closely at the Zombie, you can see he has torn pants.

Maybe because a picture of a pile of random pieces would look like crap?

Thanks for the pic. I don't think this says anything about whether there are complete figs or not in the bags. The clown's trumpet is a nice accessory. Wondering what - if anything - the zombie, crash test dummy, and wrestlet will come with.

Nothing. They don't all have to have accessories, you know. I mean, what could a dummy or a wrestler possibly come with anyway? Besides, we have already seen a complete pic of the wrestler, and he didn't have any accessories there either.

Ok, wrestler has a cape as an 'extra'. Crash test dummy could come with a steering wheel  . Maybe the zombie comes with a chicken leg  But I guess you're right: if they would have had accessories they would have probably pictured them on the display.

Awesome, I'm very excited about these. However, it's a shame they didn't put them in cheaper plastic bags. And we would be able to feel through it. Now it'll just be luck and guess work. Oh well, I still would like them all!

So the guy is a 'skateboarder' and not a 'rockstar'. I guess that still makes sense, alphabetically speaking. Two of this figs have the bow and arrow... does that mean you're twice as likely to get one?

That cowboy is going to get a needle in the bum if he keeps standing on the nurse's foot.

And will I be able to put my hands on these or do I have to pay 15$ on BL for the Zombie??

I'm quite sure they're not going to be that expensive. There are going to be a lot of people who buy hundreds of the bags, match up the pieces and sell the figs at a profit. And since so many people are going to be doing this (even I was tempted), the competition is going to drive down prices. It'll still be more expensive than a single random fig in a bag... but it's not going to be $15. I'm thinking no more than twice the price of a single bag, which is still better than the 'buy and hope' method of collecting them, if you want a specific fig.

Hooray for the clown's trumpet! Now I can quite looking for the chrome gold ones for my Crown heralds. I will at least be buying an entire case of these.

I don't think it's a trumpet but a signal horn like this:

If you look closely you can see the black rubber thing at the end.

But of course it could be used as a trumpet too. :classic:

I see it now. Durn it. Maybe it's a separate piece...

Is the cave man club a smaller version of the troll club or the same size? Can anyone tell?

Nice spotting! That indeed makes more sense than a trumpet. I guess it will be a separate piece...

One noteworthy point of the picture is, at the right upper corner, it is said "Series 1". So it basically confirms the previous knowledge that there will be series 2 or more, other than the batch in the picture.

That's a worthy point!

Great observation.

I added that point to the EB Frontpage.

Actually it should be "16 very special minfigs.....". Did you learn German btw? :classic:

Great pic! Thanks, Oky!

I wonder, why this packaging is in German though.

I'm pretty sure I buy at least one of these. Looks like there are LOTS of special pieces some people would kill for.

look carefully, the language is English. What you see around the box probably is promotional material for the product.
