ACPin Posted November 30, 2015 Haven't done a pirate MOC in awhile, so here goes one that uses the octagonal tower design that was posted in the Historic themes a couple of weeks ago. AC

blackdeathgr Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Hey! Nice opening tower as play feature and land based carriage for the cannons! (I guess the carriage idea came from lone ranger cavalry set?) :P Also it was about time someone put black tricorns on bluecoats :) Edited December 1, 2015 by blackdeathgr
Cousarmy0001 Posted December 1, 2015 I like it! Simple, yet sufficiently detailed. The opening wall is a brilliant addition, as well! Plus, it's bluecoat, so you know it's good :-D
chofus Posted December 1, 2015 Nice creation, it reminds me on Sabre island, but better and detailed (Exclusive Sabre island :-) )
Captain Dee Posted December 1, 2015 Excellent. Towers like this always remind me of Sabre Island, even though this one is inland. The design is nice and simple and looks quite good in grey. The landscape definitely has the tropical feel with those lovely trees and parrots, and that fabulous blue sky background adds to the effect. Big-wheeled cannons are kinda rare in this theme and they're a welcome addition. And most importantly - new bluecoats wearing tricornes! Sure, the shakos are nice, but they always remind me of the 19th century. Tricornes seem much more appropriate for the age of piracy or the 18th century either way. Again, I really like the design and mood of this. I feel like I could just step right into the scene, and that to me is the best sign of a job well done. Excellent. Spader Posted December 1, 2015 Very nice! I am not quite sure about the ground being completely smooth, but it still looks really good, IMO. Keep it up!

Staslegomaster Posted December 3, 2015 Your island is so green. It should be peaceful. Do you agree that every island needs a ship? (or vice versa)
