UsernameMDM Posted June 8, 2010 This post: I don't mind the simple wand, but wish they have given him a full size staff instead. I think that would have made him look a bit more powerful(l). Got me to thinking about what I use for a wizard staff. I have a few designs of my own, but would love to see what anyone else may have to offer. Here are the pieces I use to make wizard staffs: Actual staff piece: Head piece: + Magic/power piece: I could go through Bricklink and make and exhaustive list, but I would rather see what y'all can come up with. Feel free to post pics (which I may do as well).
metalandi Posted June 8, 2010 The "lightning" that the troll "woman" and the skeleton's wizard used are a good choice aswell.
josykay Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) I used the firepole of the pirate serie without the orange "fireplume" and an emerald (which was also in a pirate set but you can get them in many sets). Edited June 8, 2010 by josykay
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 8, 2010 I really like the two that Brick Forge makes!
Stiel Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) Lightsaber hilt also works as head piece: Picture of a classic wizard's staff (using the hilt) and a scepter-like thing (inspired by the Kingdoms battle wagon promo set): Edited June 8, 2010 by Stiel

WhiteFang Posted June 9, 2010 Interesting topic. Apart from using Brickforge Wizard Stuff, I also attempt to build from official parts and these are some of the staff which I come up with last time. I will also like to see what are your idea. It might be a simple thing but it's one of the powerful weapons that any Wizards will need.
Jojo Posted June 9, 2010 Hello! Obviously inspired by Gandalf's staff is the staff I carved for Gronlif: The staff of Borrhos is kind of tricky, because the old Technic bush doesn't fit on regular bars, but only on Fabuland umbrella stands that have the same shape but are made of different material: The top of Greisbart's staff unfortunately is held in place only by gravity: And finally, the staff of Gulwaith: (Pics = links) Bye Jojo
BearHeart Posted June 9, 2010 A crystal rock on the end of a staff looks good too:

Captain Blackmoor Posted June 11, 2010 Those are some nice staffs! The black staff with the bright yellow (or whatever the colour is) diamond on top is my favorite. The only time I've made a staff was for a shaman, with a skull on top.
AmperZand Posted June 12, 2010 I tend to go with either a BrickForge staff with a gem (picture left) or bar + lightsaber hilt + gem (picture right). Amps
Johnno Posted June 29, 2010 Wizards are among my favorite minifigs. Some of these are pretty common, others, may be not so much. The Good: The Bad: The Ugly:
fred67 Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) This is a great thread, guys; having just gotten the Wizard, it's one of those simply things that can have a big impact on the look. Greatly appreciated. Edited June 30, 2010 by fred67
