Part III ‘Clash with the Tabascans’ Cortés and his expedition left Cozumel, and by late March his armada anchored off of the coast of the Tabascan settlement of Pontonchan. Cortés took a group of small oared boats up the Tabasco River into the thick mangrove swamps. Hidden in the lush jungle lining the river were, seemingly, countless Tabascan Warriors armed with bows and spears. The warriors rushed the Spanish boats forcing the Conquistadors to fight back in waist deep water. Cortés lost a boot on his way ashore, but he managed to continue fighting and directing his troops. The Spanish organized once on land and managed to repel the waves of Tabascan Warriors until they finally retreated back into the overgrown jungle. Built and rendered in Stud.io. 5 trees. 2 soldiers and a few guns against a Russian T - 90 tank. I took a few creative liberties (i.e. the blue and yellow shoulder pad, the flag on the tank) but tried to stay true to life a good bit. This includes the infamous 'Z' on the port side of the tank. Слава Україні! Peter

It all started with this small tank based off of the m3 Lee, I wasnt very happy with it but I loved the engine, so I kept it around I later redid the turret to be more round This was the first design that was called the Arnam, named after a famous admiral in the Legion Republic (this is a whole universe my friend and I came up with) despite this being a Senate tank It had 2 main guns, but was very tall (I was still obsessed with the engine) and track protection, I don't have chain link pieces on hand, so the tracks are bare I then retooled it into the Arnam Mk II, which had a decent slope to the from armor, but was built in the same frame as the original tank I had built roughly a year prior This version incorporated a new version of track protection that would be used to this day Finally, after a solid year of redesigns I came to a difficult realization. I needed to reduce the detail of the engine compartment in order to have the tank work both structurally and aesthetically. I removed the old droid bodies and halved the overall height of the model. This is the Arnam Mk V The driver gets in through this hatch in the bottom the engine bay has been reduced to a lever and a telephone piece to allow the height reduction. This is the first tank I will give you the tech specs of. It has 1 AG (weapons manufacturer) TC (weapon type) 413 110mm cannon 3.5 inches of armor on the sides and rear 4.5 inches of armor on the front and turret Crew of 3, commander, gunner, driver (no loader as the gun is auto-loading) Multiple add one for various missions The commander's cupola can be replaced with a 30mm auto cannon and 2 .50 caliber machine guns The missile interference system (MIS) which messes with incoming guided projectiles and makes them not hit their target And the cluster of guided missiles that can be fired at enemy aircraft However there was room for improvement. I felt that the turret was too much like a WWII panther tank and not like a modern tank. So last week I ripped apart the old turret and built the Arnam Mk VII It has 1 AG TC 424 150mm cannon 4.5 inches of armor on the sides and rear 5.5 inches of armor on the front and turret Crew of 3, commander, gunner, driver (no loader as the gun is auto-loading) Various add one similar to the Mk V, with the exception of the MIS, as this is now built into the turret Optional 20mm auto cannon in the hull (adds a 4th crew member) Secondary turret in place of commander's cupola And 2 different sensor packages There are no missiles, as the role of a missile firingntank was delegated to the Honey Badger super-heavy I also added this hinged piece to cover up the gun when elevating The driver's viewport is underneath the 1x2 dark red tile I will likely update with either a stud.io file or chain link pieces, whichever comes first Stud.io model is here. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/design.page?idModel=246061

Hello! I'm thinking of building a Balao-class sumbarine to honor a submarine that I spent a night on a few days ago. I'm not sure, however, what pieces I should use or how to design the engines/torpedo rooms; do you have any advice? Thanks!

Hi, I'm new on Eurobricks, but not to the world of LEGO. I'm building for 1,5 years now and this WW2 build I made back in 2017 for a contest on Flickr. If you like what you see give me a follow on Flickr, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and/or Pinterest. Background I build an accurate scene from the movie 'Saving Private Ryan'. I did some extended research to make this scene as accurate as possible. The hardest thing to figure out was the placement of each soldier. Second of all that the halftrack came in from behind and that Captain Miller and his men had to turn around 180 degrees so that the wouldn't be attacked from behind. Eventually Captain Miller and his men where surprised by the explosion from the other side of the halftrack. By the second hit Captain Miller and his men came into action and ambushed the small recon unit of the 2nd SS Panzer Division by surprise. Those German Soldiers didn't know what hit them! After the battle they found out that a small 101st Airborne squad from the 506h PIR was following them up close and took out that 2nd SS Panzer Division halftrack. The rest of the story is known and otherwise watch this great WW2 movie :) Hope you'll like what you see! The War Department "Austerity" 2-10-0 is a type of steam heavy freight locomotive that was introduced in WWII in 1943. It was designed by R.A. Riddles, the same man who latter went on to design the British Railways 9F 2-10-0 type. I've backdated my 1950's 9F type into this 1940's Austerity class by removing the side smoke deflectors and changing around some small features here and there. As most of this engine still existed as-built from my previous 9F build from 2014 (that itself was inspired by @ScotNick's model of Thomas and Friends' 9F-type engine Murdoch) or so, I just needed to get wheels, a tender draw-bar connector, pistons / side-rods, and the little bit of parts to convert it to a Austerity type. The tender has "BR" printed on it in 1 x 1 tiles, standing for British Railways, as this engine was placed into service with the newly nationalized rail network after service with the War Department during WWII (around early 1948). However, it still is carrying it's War-time grayscale color scheme at this point in the early 1950's, lending to it's nickname the "Gray Ghost". The cab of the engine, with firebox in the middle. In the real world, the Austerity 2-10-0 class engine was designed and built during the Second World War as an British export locomotive, with some going as far away as Greece, the Netherlands, or Syria, while a few stayed in the UK to be worked by the War Department, and later, British Railways. All but three of the ones from the UK (of which one was owned by the Longmoor Military Railway) survived mass scrapping in 1962 and were preserved, while a fourth was brought back from the Netherlands and also survives. (There are also a few derelict versions in Greece, while a museum in the Netherlands has an engine as well, albeit in much better condition than the Greek locos.) All credit for the BR plank wagon model seen in the picture above goes to @Pdaitabird, who designed them. See here for an awesome step-by-step tutorial by the original builder of the BR plank wagon. Original design by Flickr user Fireglo450 in 2013, revised by me in 2020. See here for the original inspirational model. Here we see the whole gravel train at an "on-it's-side" view for maximum viewing. This train is destined for the Gravel loading facility where it will be loaded with crushed stone for either rail ballast or concrete works projects elsewhere in the country. As usual, comments, questions, and complaints are always welcome!
