  1. Hey Everybody, I want to show you a Review of LEGO 5982 Space Police III Undercover Cruiser Spaceship:
  2. Hi there, Having in mind for a long time to make a scene about Space Police I theme and more generally about space classic, I began by designing a new spaceship in the Space Police I sub-theme. This ship purpose is to haul prison cell between bases. It can carry 4 standardised prison cells. It has only two front lasers for self defense, but must be escorted by other starships for its defense. SP1 Cell Hauler by dorian glacet, sur Flickr Regarding the Moc itself, it has been influenced by other mocs seen here or on flickr. I started from an old moc of mine (see here). Side access are inspired by Coja's Star Citizen Aurora MOC. Side engines by Backward matt's work on SciFi design, and rear engine by Space_cat27 Mining ship. For now there's only one render made of this digital moc. I hope I'll be able to build it in real birck later and go ahead with the project I intend to do, that will contain this ship, two others which purpose is to escort the cell hauler, a scene around the landing pad, and maybe some monorail into it :)
  3. Hi All, Following on from my post last week showing my Space Polic base I've now got some pictures of the Planetary Enforcer that was part of the display. While I'm happy with the end result of this vehicle it does fail the playability test as there are parts that fall off rather easily (held on by a single stud). Oh well :) Thanks.
  4. Hello everybody, I'm new here. At nearly 36 years of age I've become an AFOL, I guess, when I rediscovered the delightful Lego-sets my parents gave me in my younger days. Please excuse me if this (kind of) thread already exists or if I needed to post this elsewhere on the forum. In an attempt to prep a nice little Lego-assortment for my sons (the eldest is only 3 and a half and too young still) I bought three little M-Tron-sets to go with the 6812 (Blacktron) Grid Trekkor and the 6831 Message Decoder I already had (I should have SP II Rebel Hunter too, but I can't find it at the moment). The initial idea was to form a large enough 'space' vehicle pool of both sides + some Space Police for them to be able to make up some play scenes. But I've now begun to wonder wheter the Blacktron-M-Tron-Space Police would actually (still) appeal to youngsters nowadays. I still think the colour scheme of respectively black-white and red(black)white) and the neon green parts are just perfect and make for great looking sets. In comparison to the modern Ninjago-sets or Nexo Knights-sets, for example, the 'classic' space sets might not be 'interesting' enough anymore in this day and age. I guess I'm asking the parent-members if they have any recent experience with their children still appreciating the 'old' Space-sets (Blacktron, M-Tron, Space Police). A second part of my question is about the playability of (these older) Space-sets: by that I mean that I can't provide convincingly built 'bases' for the kids; building Blacktron, M-Tron bases would require loads of speciality pieces. In comparison to the City-theme, it's not as easy to build scenery for them to play in. I have a limited amount of bricks (in comparison to many avid AFOLs) and certainly in terms of speciality space pieces (neon green stuff, special baseplates etc.). I'd very much appreciate any of your views on this. Thanks
  5. Hi Everyone, As part of a collaboration with I Scream Clone and Intrastella for Brickvention (Melbourne Australia) I built Delta Base, a Space Police outpost built into the side of a mountain. As a child of the 80s the original space police was one of my favourite themes so it was great to do a build based on the theme. Included in the build is my galactic peace keeper ship, a pursuit speeder bike and the planetary enforcer (the heavy vehicle which I'll post separate pictures of in the coming days). Thanks.
  6. Good Morning Eurobricks. New to the group. Heard this is the place to speak on anything space related. Glad to be here either way. Let's talk about the build. The front and back are completely done. Shoutout to the lego space book for the prisoner's bed idea, Brilliant. As for the actual brick, you guessed it; all old light gray. With the exception of a few hidden headlight bricks. M-tron panels, three of them up in the back. As well as three box fronts on the top right. The doors directly below open to reveal the armory. Not sure what set they actually came from, but they're cool. In order to keep it sp2 colors i added the solid red bars and trans green glass. The sp2 tiles were an afterthought. Never intended to place four in the build, but...Should I construct a ceiling to truly give it a finished look? Any and all comments welcomed. More dioramas to come!!!
  7. Hello. I am Tommybricks. Thank you for the add. I am here to learn, listen and brick space dioramas. I'd like to share my space police 2 diorama with the group. Any and all comments and constructive critisim welcomed! Many more to come! Long live space!
  8. Hi Eurobricks! I want to share a site I have been working on for the past couple years: www.1980somethingspace.com The site focuses on LEGO Space sets from 1978-1999, check it out!
  9. Recently, I was feeling nostalgic for my early childhood LEGO collection (which was sold off or given away during my dark ages); so I decided to order one of my favorite childhood sets from BrickLink: the Galactic Peace Keeper. I was a little dissapointed when I received it, because the "complete" set I ordered turned out to be considerably less than complete (to date, this has been the only really dissapointing BrickLink purchase I've made; but that's a different story). Necessity being the mother of invention, I decided to mod the set into a more modern version of the Galactic Peace Keeper: The fold-out wings of the original Galactic Peace Keeper were--in my opinion, at least--the only real flaw of the original design. A mild gust of wind could easily knock them off of the model. I lost them fairly quickly when I was a child; so it's no surprise, really, that the model I received from BrickLink didn't include them. That being the case, I added a new--much larger, much bulkier, and much more firmly attached--pair of wings to my version. Keeping with the spirit of the original, I wanted them to be articulated: The original Galactic Peace Keeper had a pair of sensors (or whatever TLG called them to make sure kids knew they weren't guns even though they looked conspicuously like guns) tucked up underneath the printed panels. I wanted to put something in that space as well; so I asked myself, "what would TLG have put here if it had designed the Galactic Peace Keeper a decade later?" The answer was obvious: flick-fire missiles! The missile attachments fold out of sight when the wings are in the "closed" position and swing into firing position when the wings are in the "open" position: Overall, I'm very pleased with what I have created. It is--in my opinion, at least--an improvement over the original model; but it is still close enough to the original to trigger a happy sense of nostalgia. I hope you like it as well.
  10. Hi everyone! I was thinking about a potential future LEGO Space theme. I thought something like Space Police IV vs. Blacktron III would be nice! I also thought about using a modular system. This meant the cockpit and the ship bodies (along with potentially other parts) were connected but could be separated. With more sets bought, you could have variety in your spaceships. Today I have the first spaceship. It is a Blacktron III spaceship, contains 197 parts, and would retail for $19.99 USD, £17.99 GBP, and $39.99 NZD The Blacktron trooper is getting away! Deploy the Space Police officer with his special jetpack in hot pursuit! Stop her from stealing the precious rocks!! Set comes with swiveling cannons, stud shooters, opening crate with storage, and spring-loaded shooters. Cockpit also opens! Separate the ship into modules! Combine the modules with your other sets to create new spaceships! Also swap around the cannon positions to suit your wishes! Thanks for looking VaderFan2187 out!
  11. I realized I have never posted these MOCs here, its almost the 2022 edition of this event on flickr, but here are my rovers of last year: Febrovery 2021 by Ids, on Flickr Individual links of my rovers are over on flickr (I don't feel like posting 28 rovers here ) Link to the album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmUoBGfU Almost all my rovers, except one (number 3 got upgraded to number 22). To be honest I hadn't planned to make a rover every day, especially as most of them were build on the day itself or a day before. And some days I didn't really have inspiration/ideas to build one. But I made it, 28 rovers. :P
  12. A Blacktron spy is being chased by the Space Police inside Alpha-5, a Futuron research outpost. Pursuit on Futuron base Alpha-5 by Ids, on Flickr Always difficult to make something fitting an existing theme, but I like how this part of a Futuron building turned out. And also using my favorite Space Police and Blacktron made this a fun build. Let me know what you think, comments and feedback is always appreciated.
  13. small MOC, unpretentious. Just for fun. because I had 15 minutes "to waste" A reconversion for Space Police :) R2-SP ? by Horlack, on Flickr
  14. Entry for Lego Ideas Contest 90TH ANNIVERSARY: SPACE CELEBRATIONS Base created with giant size versions of pieces from the 80s 90s era space themes. Enjoy. https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/8f551f3c-0554-4b9b-a1a6-8dc61e9f9503/application/66e8a265-47a2-4e3a-8de5-a420dfb30381 .
  15. These two Space Police 1 builds are from Lego Idea Book 260. Some parts that should be black are blue and vice versa but they are 90% true color wise to the idea book. Since Space Police 1 had very few small sets do you think these should have been real sets? Personally I like both builds very much because they look good and fill a void in the Space Police 1 lineup.
  16. Hello all! Making one of my all-too-infrequent visits to the Sci-Fi forum to share my latest MOC! (It's nice here, I should come round more often...) I've been enjoying taking part in some of the monthly challenges this year, and I thought it was about time to get involved in Nnovvember. The result is this, which I have dubbed the VVPR Raider! I wasn't sure which direction this would take until I picked up the two Technic panels from 5981 Raid VPR - one of my favourite sets from Space Police III. They were just going to be placeholders at first, but I'd already picked up lots of black and white pieces, so I figured why not pay tribute to it? It's tempting to label this as a 5981 redux, but I didn't stick to many of the design cues other than making it a SPIII Vic Viper. The only big common elements are the panels and cockpit, and even then the cockpit is the wrong shade of trans-blue. (That said, even if I knew where the original cockpit was, I think I'd still prefer this lighter one!) So the jury is out on whether this counts as a redux. Both of the minifigs have gone missing as well. Fortunately the space police officer and alien from Series 21 of the CMFs are good substitutes! The only thing I haven't figured out is what VVPR could stand for (Vigil, Vantage, Patrol and Recon is my best attempt so far). If you have any good suggestions, I'm all ears!
  17. My first ever Vic Viper, in my Space Police 1 colors, dark blue, dark red, black and trans-red (see my album Space Police). Build for NoVVember 2021, in little more than 1 hour, taking pictures almost took longer, which was difficult because of the dark color scheme and reflective surface of the build, especially the cockpit.NoVVember 2021 - NCSP - Zephyr Let me know what you think.
  18. (This may have been done before but I’m not familiar with any previous endeavor so I will make and post this nonetheless) LEGO SPACE, beginning in the 1980s, has had many factions, some being Blacktron, Spyrius, UFO, Space Police and more. Since beginning in 2010, the LEGO theme “Collectible Minifigures” has had many figures belonging to different space factions. However, not all of them belong to a pre-established faction, so this post will be made to not only detail the different space factions that have appeared in the various CMFs but primarily to assess those that are NOT preexisting factions, many of which have still not been given names as far as I’m aware. Since many figures are a part of factions one can posit that all space figures derive from and are representative of a particular faction (they don’t have to be but I will consider them as such for this post.) First, there are the: PRE-EXISTING, ALREADY ESTABLISHED, LEGO SPACE FACTIONS: Standard LEGO Space Agency (identified by the classic space logo): S1 Spaceman, S6 Intergalactic Girl, S7 Galaxy Patrol (dubbed “Space Marine” by some), S12 Space Miner, S15 Astronaut, S21 Space Police Guy, S22 Alien Creature, S22 Robot Repair Tech*, and S24 Brown Astronaut *The Robot Repair Tech’s look is complete enough and technologically advanced enough that it could not be made by someone or something without the necessary resources (they have a mining operation in space per the S12 space miner (perhaps a space-offshoot of Rock Raiders and Power Miner?)); it has a general, almost “focus-tested” look, like a modern civic/mainstream look (even arguably trying to look “cutesy”), like those of town/city buses, advertisements, maybe even streaming services, etc.; it is not Blacktron, Spyrius, or any other faction as its colors most align with the variety present in the standard space agency’s output; many have theorized that the standard space agency has a very wide reach (S22 Alien Creature shows that non-earth beings are enlisting/joining) and may even be rather fascistic and/or totalitarian (semi-jokingly but Space Police 3, Alien Conquest, S7 Galactic Trooper, and Galaxy Squad do put forth much compelling evidence: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ3lfUxkm90 (some of these elements are now diminished a bit due to the existence of the S22 Alien Creature)); taking all this into account, the faction with the most reach, necessary resources, and that would have presence in the civic sphere, would be the standard space agency. Blacktron: S3 Space Villain, S11 Evil Mech, S19 Galactic Bounty Hunter Galaxy Squad (presumably an offshoot of the standard space agency but I will include it as its own faction since no such figure has the standard space agency logo): S13 Galaxy Trooper; this figure has on its chest armor, in the same places as all human Galaxy Squad minifigures, the same, exact symbols as them, except the symbol on their left has a gap in the middle of it (this symbol is present on the back of the S13 Galaxy Trooper’s armor as well.) I have never seen this mentioned anywhere before which is a bit disappointing. Alien Conquest aliens’ faction: S8 Alien Villainess UNESTABLISHED LEGO SPACE FACTIONS FROM THE CMF SERIES (I’m not familiar with every symbol used by a LEGO space faction so some of these may actually be from preexisting factions): S1 Robot: This could just be a helper robot made by the standard space agency. If it is representative of a species or faction, then the colors of their ships and overall aesthetics would presumably be light gray and silver with very plain/non-intricate designs. S3 Alien: It uses the Sqidman/Squidtron head but doesn’t seem to be of that same species (and according to the lore, Squidman may by the only alien of his kind (which is why he created Squidtron.)) It is most similar to the Alien Conquest aliens’ faction. Assuming it is a part of a faction and like the other factions their outfits and even skin colors match their vehicles and overall aesthetics, the ships for this species would be lime green, purple, gold, light gray and/or dark gray, and maybe silver and a light blue (perhaps just as highlights.) S6 Classic Alien: Assuming its ships are those of what is commonly ascribed to it, they would be modern-looking UFOs, retro UFOs, or anything apparently sighted. S8 Evil Robot: This could be an unaffiliated character, perhaps an experiment gone wrong or something of an outlaw, but assuming it is representative of a particular faction, then the vehicles and overall aesthetics would be black, red, and gunmetal. They almost seem like the LEGO space equivalent of the Borg. S9 Alien Avenger: The “Avenger” in the name relates to this description I found on bricksandminifigsanaheim.com (and the Portland version too) which reads like an official LEGO description so I’m going to post it here: “This alien species is constantly being bullied by others, but enough is enough! The Alien Avenger has bulked up, collected armor, and fashioned his own laser pistol to take out those who would threaten his home world!” It sounds like this species has been hurt by and/or caught in the fights of the standard space agency, Blacktron, Galaxy Squad, etc. This fits in to the overall situation of LEGO space, which is many space factions most of which competing or at odds with each other. This makes this avenger species seem more pacifistic from the start, donning their weapons as a means of defense. I personally am rooting for them. Their ships would presumably be bulky, consisting mostly of dark gray and bronze with silver highlights. Before knowing the figure’s official name and reading its description, to me this figure looked like it could’ve been a part of a species that was the LEGO space equivalent to the Klingons or the Star Wars EU/Legends’ Yuuzhan Vong. S9 Battle Mech: This figure doesn’t have any of the Galaxy Squad symbols but it looks almost exactly like one and it came out in the same year, included in the year’s first CMF. Though it lacks any symbols, it may be a part of Galaxy Squad and simply something similar to the S12 Dino Tracker, S19 Jungle Explorer, or even S9 Mr. Good And Evil, where the figures either belong to a theme or are remakes of older figures; S12 DT is a part of the Dino theme, S19 JE is Johnny Thunder, and arguably S9 MG&E is Monster Fighters, which is arguably further supported by a cover image used for the LEGO Worlds Monsters pack (even the S2 Witch and a differently-colored variant of the S1 Zombie were arguably, retroactively made into Monster Fighters minifigures with the set 850487 Halloween Accessory Set/Pack, whose box-art is very similar to if not exactly that of the Monster Fighters sets.) S6 Clockwork Robot and S11 Lady Robot: These are likelier to be none-space figures but they still could be considered or classified as such. The aesthetics of their vehicles would be blockier, feature gears, dials, cogs and lights, and colors such as light blue, red, gray, silver, pink, purple, and yellow. S15 Laser Mech and S16 Cyborg: These are seemingly both of the same faction/kind. These figures stand out from the others in that they are the only non-established faction to have two, different figures (not counting the possible S6 and S11 clockwork robots, but they are just differently gendered versions anyways) and to have a figure referenced in a rather substantive way; the Cyborg is on the S19 Game Champ’s “Space Game” (for the Game Box) cover. The aesthetics for this faction, assuming they are not a part of a preexisting one (addressed soon), would be primarily light blue and black with lime green highlights and maybe some silver. If these figures are a part of an already existing faction, then they would seemingly be a part of the 90s Insectoid faction in a way similar to the aforementioned S9 Mr. Good And Evil, S12 Dino Tracker, and S19 Jungle Explorer, where they are made intended as certain figures and/or belonging to certain themes but are not explicitly mentioned as being such; the aesthetics of the Cyborg could be considered an updated version of the Insectoid faction’s aesthetics (Roboforce is second likeliest but Cyborg’s aesthetics feel more Insectoids-like.) S17 Retro Space Hero: This figure is either an unaffiliated hero or a part of an older/retro version of the standard space agency. Its aesthetics, which would carry over to its vehicles, are those of old, science fiction pulps (pulp magazines/comics) and serials. S21 Alien: This alien appears to be in a prison jumpsuit (it may not be but since it was in the same series as the Space Police Guy and was seemingly intended as a companion minifigure, I assume it’s a prison jumpsuit.) If it is a part of a group or faction, then per Space Police lore, especially that of the most recent incarnation of the theme, this alien is a member of Brick Daddy’s Blackhole Gang. S24 Robot Warrior: This figure may be Earth-based, seemingly being from an anime-type vein or a Japanese media vein like the S20 Super Warrior (“Super Sentai” it has been fittingly referred to) (both figures are “[blank] Warrior”.) Its aesthetics are those of common, action-oriented anime stories, similar to how the aesthetics of the S17 Retro Space Hero are old science fiction pulps and serials; I don’t think I have to explain what colors or styles it would consist of then. FIGURES THAT DO NOT COUNT BUT WILL BE MENTIONED SINCE THEY ARE RELATED TO WHATEVER DEGREE: S17 Rocket Boy S23 Cardboard Robot SPACE REFERENCES PRESENT WITH OR ON OTHER FIGURES: (Already mentioned) S19 Game Champ’s “Space Game” (for the Game Box) cover S20 Space Fan’s shirt has a classic space spaceship (there is also a saturn planet sticker on the pants which may or may not be a reference to the standard space agency’s logo) S21 Violin Kid’s shirt is white with a small, black collar (or that’s just the neck opening and a shadow), covered with Blacktron logos FIN If there is anything I didn’t mention let me know
  19. A year ago we lost legendary LEGO Designer Jørn Thomsen who was behind many of our favourite LEGO SPACE sets. As his colleague, I paid tribute to some of his marvelous designs.
  20. Hundreds of years in the future, a team of astronauts discovers a small moon orbiting a big ice planet. As they approach the surface, they discover wreckage of spaceships and large robots, some buried deep in the dust of the moon. Now, two years after the initial findings, the astronauts have built a base on the moon and are discovering more and more traces of an earlier battle as they excavate. Commander Chris Studstrong leads a team of scientists and engineers who have made it their goal to find out more about the earlier events on this moon. While some of the astronauts are on the moon's surface excavating, others are back at the base examining the discovered artifacts. If you like this model, you can support it on LEGO IDEAS: Classic Space Excavation Site on IDEAS Classic Space Excavation Site by Aldar Beedo, auf Flickr Let's have a look at the Protagonists: Classic Space Excavation Site by Aldar Beedo, auf Flickr Boris, Jenny and Lucas, as engineers, explore the wreckage and dismantle parts to be examined afterwards. 21. Neo Classic Space Police - Interceptor. Well long time member, first post in a lot of time really (have to start posting more, I have enough to share...). Not really taking a lot of pictures lately so not much to share but here is one of my recent MOCs a space police ship, one of my favorite themes especially the first wave with there blue/black and red canopies. I replaced the blue with dark blue in combination with dark red, for a reimagined classic space police look. 22. First, the Speeder Bike That Looks Like It Shouldn't be Able to Balance Like That but It Does. Officer Hoodbot is along to provide an example of typical, heavily armed and stylish, modern robot police personnel. Second, the Heretic bike, in Space Police livery. I call it heretic because the bike fairing is modified. I snapped the clips on the bottom somehow, on accident, then removed them entirely to fit in the two-stud-wide chassis. While here, I would like to nominate http://alpha.brickli...em.page?P=85861 for the Nobel Peace Prize, thank you all very much for your support
  23. This is a standard patrol car.. space car? for my Space Police force. It's the first thing I built with play features in mind. So... the roof detaches easily for cabin access. Interior shot showing the controls and accessories: pistol to the right of the pilot, handcuffs to the left. The rear is cargo space, or prisoner transport. It's occupied at the moment. Top semidisassembled to give a better view of the interior. That space in back is pretty bare. Pilot, prisoner, accessories. Without a prisoner, those extra cuffs are left to just rattle around in back, make lots of noise. This provides an incentive to arrest someone as quickly as possible, promoting good police work!
  24. Before reading, PLEASE NOTE: These vehicles are just the super secret police vehicles from the LEGO Movie, re-branded to tell the story of SP IV. Also, my brother helped me a bit with the story writing, specifically the part about the space congress. Background for the Space police version 1 -4: In the original Space Police, they were just that, a police force in space. They would round up bad guys and put them in jail to await trial. After the prisons became full and the Blacktron Wars got really close to home, they turned into a SPII, an army of police men & women ready to fight any battle any way that it took to win. After the war was over they were scaled way back in terms of power and influence. By 2007, the Space Police had been put under the control of the Universal Space Congress and turned into their third incarnation, which was basically SPI but more refined. Instead of throwing them in jail, they put them in stack-able, easier-to-maintain cyro-pods to await trial. Then the Black Hole gang (secretly under the sway of the Blacktron) arrived. They destroyed several SPIII stations, and sent many convicts free. Meanwhile, Blacktron officials officially denounced the Black Hole Gang and spread rumors of police corruption and gang / police cooperation conspiracy throughout the Congress via their agents. The SPIII were able to stop those rumors and put the Blacktron's plans in the spotlight, but at great cost. With Congress' eyes opened to the Blacktron's plan of severing the ties between themselves and it's only protectors - the Space Police- the congress gave everything they had to the police who then stopped the war by vaporizing the Blacktron home-world . Unfortunately, the all-alien Black Hole Gang led to some anti-alien polices to be installed in the Space Police, now in their 4th Incarnation. This has led to clashes between the Police and Alien Rights groups. As of January 1st 2014, The Space Police have made the Universe more like a military state under their control. Even the space congress unofficially serves them as payback for the SP saving the known cosmos in the war. Everyone officially denies it, but at the same time they know who pulls the strings and what will happen to them if they talk. Some people try to stop them, but they almost always disappear - another loose end severed. It is almost as if the Space Police had turned into the very thing they sought to destroy. The OCTAN corporation helps supply the Space Police with the latest in crowd control, armored vehicles, uniforms, and barely-legal tactics and military-grade "stun" weapons. The vehicle seen here is a Radically Advanced Design (or R.A.D.) Hovercar, rushed off the production line to combat the remains of Blacktron and the Black Hole Gang. The car utilizes a standard OCTAN fusion reactor for power. These officer drop ships are any figures worst nightmare: pulled into service during riots or "times of great threat, peace disturbances or etc." These ships are actually used as fear weapons; the sight of one is sure to make an rebel cell move it's HQ or think twice about doing so, as even if it's just empty and on it's way to the repair bay. These ships were originally equipped with holding cells that have been removed in place of the much-feared but never photographed "Cryogenics Unit", also known as Division 13. These ship will take the people and any witlessness to the Division and put them into icy storage, for "retrieval at a later time and safer location". This is a mod of set 5985 (Space Police Central) and the cell design from the LEGO Movie set 70815. (Super Secret police Dropship) The exterior of the base features two holding cells and a repair garage capable of fitting a police patrol hover car from set 70802 (Bad Cop's Pursuit) with just a little overhang at the rear. I also made the cafeteria a little bigger and one floor taller. The overview tower is a little larger, having moved the front forward a couple studs and adding another section of windows to the bubble dome. i even changed the color of the windows to trans-clear. The rear of the model features openings allowing for access to the inside. From left to right you can see the cafeteria on the bottom floor of the nearly windowless building. The top floor of said structure features the commander's desk with computer. The next section has the garage on the lower floor, while the command bridge oversees the landing of large dropships and medium size patrol craft and smaller speeder bikes. The weapons rack is up there too, just in case. (oh, and by the way: the color coded bricks are used to describe different threat levels to officers & civilians: The Green brick means it is situation normal for everyone. The yellow bricks means heightened threat level, civilians are advised to take extra precautions but are allowed in most places still, but identity cards may be required. Red means extreme conditions, such as a war within the city or severe riot. Martial law is in effect, civilians are ordered to stay home or at work, no one leaves or enters high-risk areas, and identity cards are a must: no exceptions.) The right of the model features a targeting range and holding cells. The model is mostly modular, with the cafeteria building being disconnected from the main complex. The holding cells are movable too, being loadable into transport vessels or dropships. NOTES: Here is the ldd file for the station and the three ships: http://www.moc-pages...1448477121m.lxf Also, here is how to build your own SP-4 officers: The uniform for these officers is supposed to be the Super Secret police outfit ( http://alpha.brickli...lor=63#T=C&C=63 ) with plain black legs ( http://alpha.brickli...lor=63#T=C&C=63 ) and this CITY policeman's hat ( http://alpha.brickli...lor=63#T=C&C=63 ) while the head is the standard yellow smiley head ( http://alpha.brickli...Color=3#T=C&C=3 ) The vehicles are Bad cop's hover car (found in this set: http://alpha.brickli...=70802-1#T=S&O= ) and the dropship, found in set 70815 (See it here: http://alpha.brickli...=70802-1#T=S&O= ) The small enforcer hover scooter poly-bag is also used by SP IV when needed. (link to it: http://alpha.brickli...=30282-1#T=S&O= ) Any thoughts / comments / complaints / opinions are welcome! EDIT 7/27/16: Added real life models and space police precinct station.
  25. In here you will find all my odds-and-ends of space related stuff that is not Space Police IV orientated. This thread includes hover cars, space tankers, and occasional buildings of the cyber-punk Dystopia / futuristic theme. Smokey's Space Garage A small portion of this model is based off set 5980, (Squidman's Pit-stop, as recreated in LDD by Marco9999) from the Space Police III line in summer 2009. The rest is my idea. Fictional backstory for this model: The pit-stop building was originally painted a bright red with trans-neon green windows, and was used as a manned M-TRON radio message relay outpost until the company moved on to another method of communication via automated hyper-space message satellites. After being abandoned by the company in 2200, the building sat vacant until Squidman found it floating in interstellar space around 2207. Squidman and his cyborg helper, Squidtron, then opened up a spaceship repair business called Squidman's Pit-stop that was a front for illegal spaceship modifications and smuggling for the Black Hole Gang and it's members. After the gang was utterly destroyed in 2211, Squidman seemed to go clean, and set up the a legitimate business called Smokey's Space Garage with help from Dr. Hamm "Smokey" Porkchop, a fellow retired evil-doer. They used the old pit-stop as a base of the new business venture, but really the three former villains decided to go on with their life of crime, but in a good way by helping the less fortunate victims of the Space Police IV regime. They do this by giving them means and money to fight back against the oppressive police state, with the biggest supporter coming from techno-mage Analog and his space car Shatter-point. The inside of the building has various spray paint cans and fuel drums lay about in a carefully-constructed illusion of disarray, as the entire facility is booby-trapped. For example, the sign on top of the building is actually a weapons launcher with a number of radar-guided dark-matter missiles, while the entire asteroid is equipped with a red-matter bomb at it's core, ready to destroy the base with a instant black hole just in case of a overwhelming attack as a desperate last resort... luckily, that hasn't happened, and the SPIV are oblivious to the robin hood-like second life of the Smokey's Space Garage and it's crew. This picture shows off the revolving weapons / tool wall.. It only opens to a code word and hand-print scanner combination. If one is used without the other in quick succession, the red-matter bomb will arm and begin it's countdown. If another code-word is entered, the bomb at the core of the asteroid will disarm and reset. The garage feature a cold nuclear fusion reactor to power the facility, it's defenses, and refueling any visiting space ships. The entrance to the reactor is guarded by an airlock and is connected to the fusion control room, which also controls the secret defenses for the outpost. Squidman is on the left, and Squidtron is on the right... or maybe I've got that backwards? No one really knows for sure who is who anymore, or if they are both robots, with the real Squidman somewhere else in the universe. Here is the figure for Dr. Hamm "Smokey" Porkchop. Three of these are used on the signs placed throughout the model. If you see a white 2 x 4 tile, then this sign goes there. (It's not on Bricklink yet, that's why there is no link to it!) OCTAN space tanker This OCTAN truck is on the smaller end of hover tankers. It can fit in tight and hard to reach areas with it's small size and high maneuverability, a still carry two different types of fuel in the two side pods. This type can carry Nitro-oxide2, propane. It is a regular supplier of various fluids at Smokey's Space Garage. This ship should feature the following printed parts, this goes on the front of the ship, while two of these go on the side pods This OCTAN tanker has three engines: two sub-light and one hyper drive. The model was inspired by Bricksky's alternate build of set 60016 from 2014. The pilot of the ship is wearing the standard OCTAN spacesuit, circa 2217. Here are the LDD files for the tanker and garage. What do you think? Comments are always welcome, be it complaint, praise, question or otherwise!
