edited to put all final images in the first post... After seeing the LEGO movie, I wanted to re-create buildings from Emmet's neighborhood. UPDATE - March 2023 - INSTRUCTIONS are still available via PayPal donation - just let me know or write me a mail to boonatix@gmail.com :) Prevously: Working on the instructions is close to the finish... WIP - Instructions by Brickmasta on Flickr UPDATE - FINISHED on 22nd of April The Batwing - Front by Brickmasta on Flickr See the Album with details and more: https://www.flickr.c...th/13973416094/ ----------------------------------- I would like to present my current WIP to you all and love to get some feedback on it As soon as I saw the first Trailer for "The Lego Movie" I was in shock... a childhood dream coming true. With so many awesome creations in it. And one was standing out the first time I saw it: "The Batwing". I immediately knew that I needed to build this asap. Even though I just came back out of the dark ages by end of last year and was very fresh to all the building processes, parts and stuff... I thought It can't be that hard with having the model right in front of me on the screen. But it wouldn't be as easy as I thought... I researched all the internet for more pictures / trailers, fortunately there was more released with special scenes and stuff for this Batwing. I did frame by frame analysis and took a whole lot of screenshots, scratching my head how and where to start. I had the best material of one of the turbines, so I just got to work on one of those! But then I was kind of lost... not enough details, not enough shots of the Batwing. And then somebody on Flickr linked me a video to the Lego Movie Videogame. Woah! There was actually a building process you could unlock in there for it. I had to get the game, started gaming until I was able to unlock this plan and rebuild it over and over to see how they did it. And got to the point where I finally started with one of the wings! The Batwing - WIP #003 by Brickmasta at Flickr And the first challenge occured and I knew it would not be that simple / as easy as I hoped. The wing consists of 4 sections. And each section basically just featured 1 connector, making the whole wing completely unstable, bending and nearly breaking apart. That did not look good. So I got to understand that I won't be able to do a 1:1 true copy of it. The physics in the movie and the videogame are just easier / different because there is no real physics So I got to work again and tried and tried and thought and planned... and found a solution! First step was to double and exchange the connections for each section: The Batwing - WIP #004 by Brickmasta at Flickr But that was not quite enough and after some more thinking I had another idea, so I took the shot and gave the second wing a try with new elements in it and a stabilizer under the wing, connecting the sections and holding them together... and it worked out! "The Batwing" is going to be huge...! That is my progress so far. I am now starting to work on the cockpit and will try out the connections from wing to cockpit asap because I have a feeling they also won't hold up that good... each wing weighs around 260gr wich is around 0,6 pounds. That is quite a lot to be held together by slim Lego connectors. Lets see how this will work out then Let me know what you think! Appreciate every comment and input

Lord Business is clearly Finn's father, I've been thinking "gee, which character fits Finn" which for a long time I've thought it as either Emmett, or Vitruvius, which after watching the Lego Movie 2, I've felt it more to be Emmett as a better fit because he was the one Finn was playing with, and it was Emmett to break the cake, something Finn did, also it was Emmett who said what Phil said to Business, so if Emmett is Finn and Lord Business is (Finn's) father than it makes sense for Lord Business to be Emmett which (if General Sweet Mayhem is Bianca) would explain why he didn't want to be involved with the duplo Aliens, because he knows his wife lives in the same star system and doesn't want to fight with her

LEGO MOVIE DREAM TREE HOUSE Nature is awesome and beautiful. We should protect natural environment and conserve resources. I have an idea to build "Dream Tree House" using with nature elements (tree,plants,cloud,rainbow...) and LEGO MOVIE 2 characters. Build the Tree House dreamly as neutral, rural scenery and peaceful. You can find details (piano, bookshelf,TV,kitchen, swing, elevator) to fullfil in the Tree House for fun. I build this creation to support HKLUG LEGO MOVIE 2 Competition. Everything is Awesome!! This deer is my second alternative model built out of set 70827 (Ultrakatty & Warrior Lucy!). It features big antlers and moving legs, neck and head. My goal with this model was to find some purpose for different thorns included in big amounts in set 70827. This model is my fourth entry to TLCB Lock-Down Competition. When I was done with deer I built simple turtle from leftover parts to give Emmet something for riding too. You also might remember my first alternative model from this set - Alien queen. Building instructions for both models are available at buildinst.cz Any comments are welcomed.

Hello, This is my latest moc, a lego movie robo swat at-st! i wasnt quite sure where to put this topic as it's a bit of a mish mash of themes, but here it is. i wanted to make an at-st as i dont own any, but then thought about making it in space police 1 colours. but as i don't have any sp1 parts or figures i quickly decided on robo swat as i love their design and dropship so much. i started by following the instructions for the endor base version of the model, but heavily modified it, with the most noticable change being using ball joints instead of the silly/unstable gear system for the movable legs. i also significantly upped the armour plating and added more detail. this moc stands up, and is relativly stable for what is essentially a heavy box on skinny legs :). i hope you enjoy. i'm seriously starting to think that an AT-AT would look pretty slick in this colour scheme :) maybe one for the future. I’ve bought The LEGO Movie video game on the Wii U maybe a 6 months ago for cheap with the plan of playing it when I get some time. Now that I did, I wish that I discover it before. I’ve just finish but all the main missions, I’m not even near 100% yet, but I will try too. I must say as a huge fan of the movie, I really think this game add lots to the story of the movie. The game has lots of cinematic from the movie, but the mission we play is basically everything between every scene of the movie. It’s like adding twice content & story to the movie. I’m not a huge gamer, I consider myself a casual gamer, but I really got into this game. The other previous LEGO Game I’ve played is LEGO City Undercover (I’m about at 70% of the main mission, I should really finish it. Really like the open world). Other then that I’ve recently got into LEGO Dimensions, which is also neat, but I’m not far in the game yet. I’m curious of what other think of that game, not only by itself, but in addition to the movie.

This is the love story of Lucy/Wyldstyle and Emmet. Emmet faces much hardship in his pursuit of love (probably because of Batman!) Lucy always looks cool and unresponsive. Though Lucy is always within his reach, Emmet simply cannot get her attention (or she is even beyond his sight). They whirl around one another but their is no contact point of them. They look like two lost souls in a fish bowls. It takes a long time -- from winter to summer -- for Emmet to win her over finally. Here comes a video: Hope you like my creation. Thanks for watchin. ^^
