The Tourniquet The Engineering department at MANTIS has been hard at work producing The Tourniquet, a highly advanced mech, for the inaugural Andromeda Olympics. Let's take a look at their creation! And Here's the all existing parts version, which adds some grey spots. Size Proof: I think this is the best mech I've built so far, so C&C welcome! And check out the 360 view on Mecabricks!

... IN THE GREEN CORNER! While 'some' corporations feel that top-heavy, spindly-legged mechs somehow gives then an unfair advantage ; ), others believe that those legs are going to get kicked out from under them when they face the brute-force, mecha-muscle approach of new M.A.N.T.I.S. entry... TIPTOE! Special move: Bunneeeeee! Tiptoe undergoes pre-match scrutineering:

Hadvice, you may unplug the model TT Yes professor... done ! Prof : lady and gentlemen, let me introduce yourself... an ancient Octan Sawmill Unit model trimming tool robot ... It was very usefull in a sawmill That's why it will certainly be efficient for your stupid and brutal space game... Just an little upgrade with regard to the first model It is all awesomium powered and has no risk to be out of fuel. It's allright Hadvice, we may leave and let the sportsman deal with it. C&C welcome other bonus pics soon.

I've wanted to do a design for a while where a minifigure's legs are augmented such that the minifigure's legs form the thigh of the mech.

Greetings Fellow Sci-Fi Fans, I present to you my version of the Bushwacker Battlemech from the PC game Mechwarrior 4. It is fully posable. It has great balance, and its strong. It took 2 months to design, perfect and build. I was up every night until 4 AM. It is captured in a running and gunning pose. I will try to make better pictures in the future. Feedback is welcome. Features of the BSW-S2 variant: The S2 is a variant of the Bushwacker that makes the 'Mech more effective at short to medium ranges. The 'Mech carries an ER Large Laser to allow the 'Mech to engage an enemy at long ranges as it closes. The 'Mech carries an LB-X Autocannon/10 or a Rotary 5 unit with 6 barrels, which can fire both standard and cluster ammunition for long to medium range engagement capabilities. For close combat, the 'Mech has two SRM-4 short range missile launchers, making it a powerful unit at any range. For added defense, the S2 carries an Anti-Missile System. NEW from Llwyngwril Systems: an innovative high speed solution to all of your rough terrain personal transport problems! Bug Runner by David Roberts, on Flickr Bug Runner Film by David Roberts, on Flickr I hope that this little MOC contains enough Technic and isn't too silly for this forum. On a vaguely serious engineering note; I'd be very interested in any suggestions that experienced Technic builders might have for replacing the cams that I've used. They're 1x2 45deg slope bricks. After long-term use, they detach from the Technic connectors with studs that attach them to the big gear. I'd like to build a motorised model using this technique but the current cams won't sustain it. Any ideas please?

PLEASE NOTE: Location in thread title is an error and can't see how to change it: Thanks to whoever changed it. : ) Location: B05 - Marphacia. Tags: Civil, Land Vehicle. Ever get the feeling no-one likes you? Yseult thought to herself as she powered up what looked like the oldest most out-dated walklift in the foundry. The KH-40 was an augmech, a rare type of walker where the pilot's legs clip into the upper leg and the whole torso looks mostly supported by the pilot's own body. It isn't, the rear dampers taking most of the load but it was a design that left most workers feeling uncomfortable, despite the extra speed and freedom of movement it afforded. The design soon fell out of favour but this unit had clearly spent a long time in service; it was covered in a multitude of different green markings as different work crews had taken it into their fleet for a while and put their mark somewhere on the bodywork. Yseult made her way through the freight terminal, deep in the pyramid behind the lower landing bays as the heads-up display in her visor outlined the route to her first pick. It was slow going compared to the hoverbike she was used to and as a pilot at heart, she had accepted the work a little begrudgingly but she'd been sat around for long enough and hadn't exactly made her flying history public knowledge. She didn't really want them to know; The more they know, the more questions they can ask. At least moving crates around in a loader kept her out of people's way, and them out of hers. Is this what he meant? She had made a deal with Big Sal and was getting paid for the work but he'd targeted her, specifically, she'd felt when she gazed at the rusty old replacement hoverbike he'd bestowed upon her. Surely, he hadn't gone through all that for her to move boxes in a mech. I won't find that out here she thought. So I might as well get on with it. Additional images: The design allows a full kneeling pose. Here, you can see the connection at the back contracted and expanded with the position of the pilot's legs. Here is a clear shot showing that there's no bodywork between the two halves save for the rear clips. Although there is no rotation at the waist, hips and ankle, the design is still quite versatile for posing. Riddaeon watched impatiently as Big Sal examined equations on a screen while only half paying attention to their conversation. "You spoke to her then?" the scientist said without looking up in response to Riddaeon's report. "Analasys?" he asked. Riddaeon had an air of concern in his tone. "Hot headed, cynical." He began. He paused for a moment, recalling their conversation. "Sharp though." He continued. "Quick to evaluate and react, even though she probably over-reacts". "Does she trust you?" Big Sal interjected. Riddaeon thought back to the trap he'd set. "No". Now Big Sal looked up from his screen. In between the large beard and the mop of hair, behind the thick-rimmed glasses, his eyes darted around as if calculating something complex in his mind. He strode in a not-quite-straight-line over to an old vidi-board full of equations and started scrawling in one of the few empty gaps. His stylus stopped suddenly as if all of his mind's effort had become focussed on one single mental calculation. He turned to Riddaeon. "And what about her?" he asked. "Can we trust her?". Riddaeon thought for a moment... "No". Big Sal's bewildering look of impossibly complex internal arythmatic slowly turned into a knowing, sly grin. He returned to the board and finished the equation... "Good" he said aloud... He looked at the final entry in the equation: delta Upsilon... "Good".

Mission: Redshirts Assemble Tags: Kawashita, Sorn, Mech, Vehicle Redshirts, you have been assembled because our brave CEO, Raven, is dead. The information has spread across the galaxy and all the corporations vying for power. Mantis, Octan....and Kawashita. Kawashita is broken right now. As #2 I am taking the roll of CEO today. This news may shock many employees of our corporation and cause some to have a pause. Right now the "Honor" is investigating the death of Raven, we will do the same but from a different angle. We cannot have all operatives investigating one detail at the same time. Each Redshirt assembled here will be now armed, with KOS orders given as I see fit. Each Redshirt will have a MFZ-Mk3 assisting with operations. As you can all see, one of them has been modified to allow a fig to operate it. Due to my previous injuries this is the only way I can move freely, lead, and fight. I will not lead from the rear, at a desk, I will lead from the front like Raven did. The coming weeks will be hard. Initial investigations indicate Mantis is involved with Ravens death. Specifically, Spacer Steve. He is smart, he is cunning, and he obviously has no problem with killing executives. We need to proceed with caution going forward. Unfortunately , one of my first acts as CEO will be contacting her family to tell them this horrible news......then preparing and overseeing the funeral proceedings next week for Raven. Now....go seek the factswe need so we can act with Honor, Glory, for Kawashita....for Raven. END..Judging should be considered a minifig on a plate, the mechs are copies from a previous build. I would have like to have done more this week but this holiday weekend in the States, and my RL obligations in summer keep me from doing something proper. I do plan a funeral MOC next week. I also took some bonus shots of where ALL my Kawashita and other Lego Space MOCs are keep, enjoy This is a very large base I am working on, it will have four entrances, the tower will go up, then have landing decks shooting out to the pillars going up. Need lots of blue and white since I want to keep my classic space style I enjoy.

On Farmolis's Famous Octan Olympic Arena, where all the best and brightest athletes have come to train! Including none other than Dr. Danielle Long, who was surprised to wake up to a holo-mail from CEO Pombe, requesting her presence at the games... on penalty of forfeiture of shares... Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Engineer: "Well, madam, as you can see, the core and engine are fully functional. She's operating at 95% Target output." Dr. Long: "Hmm... That's unacceptable. Tighten that nozzle, adjust the location of that fuel pump, and reconfigure the wiring. Bring it up to 100% Target Output, or I will find someone who can." Engineer: "If only... Triple H were here..." Dr. Long: "He is not here. Do what must be done." Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Dr. Long: "Why are these not assembled? Engineer: "Well, you see, there's a real funny story about that..." Dr. Long: "I did not come here to listen to funny stories. I came here to assess your craftsmanship, and right now, I'd say it's certainly lacking." Engineer: "I'm waiting on Pneumatics to supply me with the gas repressurizer! I can't do final assembly until they get me that pressurizer!" Dr. Long: "Stop looking for excuses. I'll deal with Pneumatics... And as for you... pack your things. I'll add finding a suitable replacement to my agenda. That shouldn't be too hard, I don't think." Engineer: "No, please! I've got a wife and three kids!" Dr. Long: "No you don't. In your file it says you're "Single and ready to mingle." Engineer: "Well, I want a wife and three kids eventually..." Dr. Long: "Get out." Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Dr. Long: "And what seems to be the holdup here!" Software Specialist: "I'm giving her all she's got, Doctor, but I can't access tha damn file to download!" Dr. Long: "Honestly, the incompetence I have to put up with on a daily basis. Clappy, access file Zoology_AI_Bullfrog.exe. This is Doctor Long, code blue entry, pass 98765. "You got it, boss!" Dr. Long: "Finally, someone who follows my orders." Later...... Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr "Finally, I have my competition entry assembled. When I designed these schematics, I modeled her after the robots I use to collect samples underwater... and then I gave her legs because that was an entry requirement. Honestly I just want to get this over with so that I can continue doing science, but perhaps I can bring glory to the great Octan Corporation by performing above average in this contest. After all, I am a perfectionist. No one will stand my way when I set my mind to something. Now, Let's get this baby started. Lil' Longlegs, please initiate Start Sequence." Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr "Perfect." About the Mech: In professional Mech Wrestling contests, Mechs of this nature (long legs, hunched torso) are frowned upon, but not outruled. Typically they are seen used by "Heel" Performers, as their use is considered... underhanded. The long legs are seen as an unfair advantage, since they add to the balance and leverage of the robot when wrestling... but as they say, the higher they stand, the harder they fall... Dr. Long knows none of this, though, as she only read the exact rules, and has never actually watched or participated in a mech contest. She didn't think to overview any of the ... unspoken rules... after all. Rules are made to be spoken. That said, Dr. Long wouldn't particularly care if she found out. If it's in the rules, it's legal, and if it gives her an advantage, well... too bad. Goodday people of Eurobricks, My very first moc posted on Eurobricks, it feels like a brand new day for me I actually built the Mech on the platform a few years back, but never got to properly photgraph it. The setting of this Mech is in my own fictional universe with a complex backstory, which I have to write down properly and add to another of my Steampunk Moc's probably. Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 17 ~ My father filled me in on the mission as we boarded the shuttle. Exactly a week ago, a certain Kawashita Space Marine had reported into the medical centre on Orinshi with a strange malady. He said that he had been shot with an alien weapon during a spying mission on Arium Major, but he didn't know who had shot him. The medical staff had seen nothing like it, so they sent him to Avindrian Laboratories for examining. The scientists managed to extract some sort of bullet from the soldier's skin, but noted a strange redness emanating from the area around the wound when they removed it. Within days every patch of skin on his body had turned a deep red, and his eyes turned yellow. Upon removing his shirt, scientists found that one of his arms had developed a thick crust of red skin and his hand was hardening into a claw. The next day, he was gone. The body of a lab assistant was found in his room, clearly murdered. He'd used the assistant's security card to gain access to a shuttle; operatives tracked it to Arium Major. Paradoxically, this was where the soldier had sustained the injury. I was sent along with two special forces commandos, Agents Sharpe and Kytes, to track down the mutant soldier and bring him (or it) back to Kawashita space for interrogation and analysis. I was also tasked with investigating the origin of the bullet. In case the planet's ruling Octan council sent operatives to stop us, or we ran into hostile aliens, our party was assigned a Kawashita Search-and-Destroy mecha, equipped with the latest weapons technology and piloted by none other than Ekira Mitoshi himself. We were ready at last, and prepared for whatever fate might befall us on Arium Major. Sans figs and mech: The cast: Agent Sharpe, Dragonfire, Agent Kytes The mech: C&C welcome!

Introducing my most popular MOC to date! Chibimus Prime! Featuring - 32 points of articulation - Facial Expressions!!! - Transforms!!! This MOC took me around a week from conceptualisation to completion. The reason to go Chibi (cute in Japanese) style for Prime was to capture the essence and look of Optimus Prime and keeping the transformation simple. As such much emphasis is placed on the retaining as much key aesthetics on Prime with a bit of artistic liberties and personal input. Please visit my Flickr album for Chibimus Prime for more pictures and detailed description! Thank you! https://flic.kr/s/aHskeWNToB (PS: Somehow I can't add more than one picture on the thread, not sure why)

Location: H05, Livgorn Tags: Exploration, Land/Water Vehicle Jedadiah Douglass, signing in from Livgorn... Oh boy! It will be a while until I can talk about that! So much for Forring being any good! Ha! Ginormous ducks, yikes! Yes, yes, another vacation is quite in order... and thankfully, since Dr. Long is no longer first branch executive and good old Jacques is there instead, vacations aren't that hard to come by, haha! Hey, look at this, another Pombe animal plant! Except this one provides fast food, yum! But I shall finish my ice cream here first. Seriously though, this is a very nice planet, but I am having trouble figuring out if I am underwater or flying... and I forgot to check my Domination for Dummies before I landed to find out. Oh well. Remind me to ask Pombe if animal trees can grow underwater or not. But where are my legs? Ah ha, there you are! Get back over here! Now this is a bit better than that horrid planet last week, ha! Here we go! My weekly build - and I'm really not sure if it's underwater or not! It wasn't originally meant to be, but the plants, landscape, mech, and photography turned out such that I'm don't know myself! What do you think of it all? Comments and constructive criticism are welcome as always!

In order to fight the impending darkness, the Protectors of Okoto harness the powers of space and time to bring forth mighty, fighting machines to their once peaceful island. Nilkuu claims the Stone-Type, naming him Pohatu. Pohatu is made from a strong, lightweight alloy that not only makes him fast, but also well protected against enemies and the harsh desert environment. He also wields two high-powered rifles that can fire great distances and reduce its targets to rubble. Thanks to these abilities, when paired with Pohatu, Nilkuu can come across as somewhat of a loner and over confident in his abilities. But he's not completely invincible. His weapons require a clean line of sight, which is often impeded during the night or in dark areas. No shading and no highly-detailed Nilkuu because I'm laaazzzyyy!

Open Log #89.752 Shortly after I got picked up from Sorn, I got sent down to Terrial Minor. I sent MHD-72 here a few weeks ago, but I haven't been here in a while. This time i basically got sent in a mech to go find the facility MHD-72 was last at. And of course there was a sandstorm so I had to use the mech instead of something that flies. Sand is pretty annoying. And I have a long way to go. Pangolinus Signing AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! *Silence* End Log The slightly weaponized version of the mech. C&C Welcome!

The Planewalker With their razor-sharp claws and alarming alacrity, the Wun’Tux are formidable enough opponents without augmentation. Their armoured Planewalkers only serve to make them more ferocious and intimidating. The Planewalkers look ungainly and awkward at first glance. Their odd angles and forward tilt give the impression the machine might tumble forward at any moment. But the Wun’Tux engineers are far from careless; the poise is maintained by a unique system of gyroscope-like devices, the centre of gravity so easily manipulated as to give the Planewalker a shocking straight-line speed. The ‘walkers are typically used to defend valuable locations (e.g. durillium mines) and to assault hardened enemy targets; the Wun’Tux are aware of the terror the sight of one can spark, however, and are not shy in using them to keep unruly slavesin line. BroodTribes are not shy of using the armour against other Wun’Tux, either; the ‘walkers often feature in the frequent bouts of Wun’Tux infighting. Planewalkers are usually piloted by the second-born of a brood; it is a position of respect and relative protection compared to third-born and below who tend to be deployed as foot soldiers. These walker pilots are talented but prone to arrogance and overestimation of their skills. Their ‘Shredder’ cannons inflict devastating damage on organic and lightly armoured targets, especially at short range. Their thick armour enables them to survive sustained exposure on the front lines. Their main vulnerability is from the air, although airborne attackers have their best chance of hitting a Planewalker if it is standing still; they are difficult targets when moving at full speed. The USEFpurposefully struck at defending walkers from orbit in preparation for the battle at Dronta VIII. The ‘Voidrunners’ (a group of ex-slaves involved in a guerilla war against the reptiles) have a way of disabling the gyro-stabilisers with a well-placed Improvised Explosive Device. This causes the ‘walker to malfunction, lose balance and often come crashing to the ground. This method, to the relief of Wun’Tux everywhere, not widely known. It is against Planewalkers that the Blackmane X-MM made its name; within the tight confines or an urban sprawl, the humanmechs were able to evade the Wun’Tux’s shredder cannons and close in for the kill. This remains one of the rare occasions on which Planewalkers were bested by another mech. So I decided to try make a mech for a contest and here is the result, not very sturdy though The pictures aren't giving the right mood/ giving a good image of how it looks. (I really need to get a better enviroment/ lightboxes to make pictures) Pictures don't really give a good sense of the scale sadly And for the fan of lore, I made the time do create some: Lore: HSM-1.50 (Heavy Support Mech) *General Information* Produced by the New Federation it has been designed by Future Tech who's mission it were to create a versetaile but heavy duty mech. It's been a savior of many soldiers. *Intended Role on the Battlefield* Being a support mech it is not capable of fighting on it's own, they are supposed to defend allied infantry from enemy heavy armor and big swarms of infantry. If they however are somehow catched alone they will not survive long because of their big weakspots on the back and sides where it can counter any incoming attacks. Luckely most are capable of sticking with their own platoon of infantry who covers it from being surrounded. *Weapon Systems* The left arm is outfitted with a big 1.50 Cal. firing gatling gun, firing up to 2000 rounds per minute. This makes it a great solution for problems that tend to get too close. It can shred both Infantry and armored targets, it´s effectiveness is lowered by it not being able to move appartly from the mech itself. For ranged targets there is a specially designed railgun mounted on the right arm, shooting bullets the size of a book it devestates anything it hits. with an effective range of over 10 miles it is a serious threat to anything this mech get's in it's sights. Though normally these type of guns would have ranges far greater then 10 miles, this one had to be specially designed with low recoil because it otherwise would have damaged the whole mech itself. And last but not least there are 6 top mounted anti-airrockets to deter any small aircrafts, though they do not pose any serious threat to anything bigger then a bomber. However strike aircraft and interceptors are easily taken out by these small rockets because they have a speed of over 800 meters a second.

Is it possible to make a heavy gear mech that can fit a minifig and also is in scale with the minifig? in other words just like it would be 15 feet in real life compared to a human could the lego version be like only 2 or maybe 3 minifig tall? The closest I ever got was this:

[K - B05] The Investigation Continues... Okay, so, somewhere in the creation process, I lost around 3 hours of work, so the scene ended up quite differently from my original idea. However, I'm very satisfied with the result (I've been wanting to build this particular mech (which is also my first), for quite some time now). The build is around 6500 pieces, of which the mech is around 800. I had some trouble uploading the pictures, but the build was still posted before the 10:00 GMT deadline. --//Alpha Level Encrypted Private Log Begin. Date: 0607(38)15.
