Why just watch when you can join? You got it right and noted on the first post. AC

Yes they are and you're in! That's right! Counted! AC PS. There's got to be more than thirteen brave MOCers out there. What are you waiting for, sign up and be counted!
-
And they're off! You're in! You're in and you got it right. No additional rules needed only guidelines for posting your MOC. You're also in. So do you! That's the general idea for this. There's still plenty of time. AC PS. Just started mine today and surprise, surprise. It's a diorama!

Official confirmation from the mods received. Thanks KimT and KD! AC PS. Now everybody get started already!
-
Counted! AC Main post edited to include guidelines for posting and sign-ups!

FYI. I've already sent PMs to both KimT and KD about this. Alright! You're in! They're probably both enjoying vacation where there's no internet connection! Another one in! Okidoki! AC PS. I've already started clearing out my work table so I can get started on this!

Great, though you don't have to mention what you intend to build. All the pieces become part of the common theme, not meant to be physically constrained. I didn't know that it has to be approved as such, but well I'm pretty sure we'll find out. This is a little bit more free-wheeling in a sense but with little contraints, it's sure to be able to accomodate everybody no matter how much or how little their brick supply is. It's also start to find out how many would participate and maybe later on have more ideas on specific criteria that everybody can build on. The less constraints, the more are expected to be to contribute. Still early and feel free to join in if you decide to change your mind. AC

As the title says, calling out all MOCers interested in building using a common theme. Instead of having to build in the confines of the Venator, I'm simply proposing to build based on the movies one at a time, starting with SW Episode IV - A New Hope. No rules regarding scale (minifig, micro, UCS, midi), size (vignette, 32x32, 48x48, larger) or type (diorama, vehicles, creatures, minifigs, what not). Not a contest, just a chance to build with everybody in the common theme SW Episode IV - A New Hope. Create as many MOCs as you want but please do your best as there are a lot of critics around here. Target end date is August 31, 2011 which gives more than a month to come up with your best works. Guidelines for posting; 1) Post your MOC on as a separate topic in the LSW forum with the subtitle CB SWIV - A New Hope 2) Reply to this thread with your MOC and link for the thread about it. 3) Photo is optional (max picture resolution for deeplinked pics is 800x600) 4) Your entry will be added beside your name in Sign-ups Sign-ups; 1) ACPin - Tatooine Sand Dunes, DS Core Shaft 2) Brickdoctor - [LDD MOC] TIE x1 Advanced 3) lightningtiger - If this is a consular ship, WHERE is the ambassador? 4) stark mark 5 5) M<0><0<DSWIM - Trapped In The Trash Compactor 6) The Legonater - MINI Death Star Battle 7) Lord Of The Fries - A Small Slice of Tatooine 8) Masked Builder - Tantive IV - Scenes From Inside 9) Bayou - ObiWan, you are my only hope 10) Troopmaker - [LDD MOC] Tattooine Moisture Evaporator 11) Kaitan - Treadwell Droid 12) the-bricking-builder 13) dragunov 14) lego-maniac - Mos Eisley Microscale Post your comments and if you intend to join this effort! Gorancor! Gorancor! AC

Though it took awhile longer than I anticipated, the extra work was spent on the posing of the minifigs and other minute details. Castle is the next theme after SW that I usually build as it gives me the opportunity to experiment on designs and techniques that I won't have any chance of using in a SW MOC. AC

It's a cheap alternative to grow armies especially when they're just used for massive formations. At least found a good use for the HP and Jedi Luke torsos. Yes, the long bow archers and cavalry all have the PoP torsos. The ranks at the back are Jedi Luke and Jarjar Binks torsos. AC

You can easily increase the size of your own and cheaply too by using stickers for the torsos from CC like I did. What else are we building armies for if we couldn't show them in all their glory? Already planning for another one! That's why I've been planning on this for a quite sometime as there are very few that I've seen done in this scale. You can view more details of the whole MOC by clicking the link mentioned. AC

Thanks, though kinda surprising that the WIPs have gotten more attention than the finished MOC. AC PS. Me thinks should go back to the SW MOC that I've been working on.
-
I did mention that what was in the WIPs was only half of it. At least by going through the smaller MOCs, you've seen the little details from each. Still wanted to incorporate a few more details but just ran out of space! The most that I've had to deal with in this MOC was how to get all the parts seamlessly work together. Dig in with all the detailed pics when you get the chance. AC
-
Thanks! It's been a lot of work doing the individual parts and peruse all the details when you've got time. AC
-
Finally completed the largest castle MOC that I've done thus far combining several smaller MOCs into this. I'll just let the pics tell the story about it. As usual, click the pic for more... AC
-
Of course they look great! You'll both have to jump to the other theme to find out more. Now you know. Not my first choice to use them but they fit the purpose. Yes, it's just a piece of the bigger MOC. If you look back at the keychain pic, I've already dropped the hint you mentioned about. Cleaned out the Lego store when they had them for 98c each and buy two get one free. AC

Those were based from some samurai movies I've seen to include every day life scenes in the MOC. Probably next week as the whole landscape has been built. The only reason that I've shown these in parts is they won't stand out as much when the whole MOC is revealed. As for the size, what you've seen thus far is about half of the whole MOC. The Samurai house and the dojo at the back with the stables, swordsmith and the gate in front, with the lookout tower in the middle. What you haven't seen yet is the other half with the castle and the armies assembled. AC

NJ USA and looks like you're the only who've shown interest on this WIP. AC PS. Another update done.
