Thanks for the blog as I'm already planning for bigger and better MOCs for next year! The idea here is to follow the lead. Not for this year. That took a lot of rebuilding and it's still intact! Some need more work than others. That's why I've added the links so you can go back and look at what you've missed. Will continue building as long as you continue looking at them! AC

Might have to try that in another MOC. Coulda been bigger if I had more time to finish. The beast is fully poseable much like an action figure. Don't count on it and I'm still planning on one more mod to it. AC

Don't know if you realize that you misspelled my userid (ACPin) and the description tells when the scene happens. Done for this year and will take a break for the holidays! Just before the beast gets BBQed! AC

Updated original post to include a picture of the sets and removed the sail barge for now until I'm able to locate which box it was stored. Offer still stands for EB members but will just last until the end of the coming week as I'll post it on the other sites afterwards. AC

Only if there are buyers for them! I'm just showing them as I haven't seen them in awhile and actually even forgot about some of them. Still need to find my copies of the sail barge. I did say that it's only some of it! Nice collection too! Not really my intent to keep them sealed to resell them but as I think more about it, I won't be opening anytime soon most of these sets. The curse of being an MOCer is that I really just need the minifigs for the dioramas that I build and sometimes the ships when the scene calls for it. I don't buy the sets anymore when they come out as I just wait until a good sale comes along. Display space for me is at a premium so I can't even keep my dioramas built for so long even if I wanted to, much less to have the regular sets built for display only. AC

Yes, it does! The rock work is a mix of old dark gray and new dark bluish gray (bley) where probably the lighting makes it look more like dark tan. AC
-
Then better look at the first scene and the third scene so I can get two more points from you! AC

While taking the X'mas decors out of the garage, I've stumbled upon boxes of old Lego SW sets some of which are shown in the pic. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who's got these stored away, so what's your reason for keeping them unopened? AC
-
No door yet! If TLG makes one, it might be good if they do it similar to the creator sets. There's still room for improvement as I'd like to have the mouth eventually be able to open and close. Thanks for the blog! Still the same old design with just a few tweaks. Oh yes! Just minor tweaks for support but not much. AC

This was designed intentionally to look like the actual movie scene. Yeah, those machinery resemble generators of some sort. Scenes that most would probably never think about of doing are the most challenging to accomplish. Hope it didn't disappoint your son! I've searched some sites and most dioramas of this scene were done using the action figures. Thanks for the blog! I made sure to incorporate the basic elements that were in the movie scene and then added the personal touch with the other parts. That droid was actually a 2-1B medical droid which I replaced with another as I didn't want to mutilate it. Each scene has it's own unique elements. Let's not get ahead and just keep posted for more to come... AC

When C-3P0 and R2-D2 find themselves as pawns in the Rebellion's master plan to rescue Han from Jabba's clutches, they're sent by the crime lord to the droid dungeon where EV-9D9 checks out all the new acquisitions and puts new droids to work where needed. Click on the pic for more details... AC
-
I might try to reshoot the scene next time. Various pieces in the scene had to be moved around to get the correct lighting effect. Still more to come... The vintage figure might be better scale-wise but I didn't have it at the time of the shoot. Keep your fingers crossed or just do what I did. AC

Thanks all for your comments! There's only one light source used for the overall scene and a small LED light to shine on the carbonite block. The Boushh helmet came from the Hasbro action figure Leia Boushh though I did try at first to design a brick built version of it. Yes, the taun-taun was not beheaded for this and just use your imagination as to where the rest of the body is. Only the first of complementary scenes so stay tuned for more... AC

Later that night, the bounty hunter Boushh enters the throne room to see Han Solo frozen in carbonite up close. Click the pic for more details... AC
