Patience, they'll be all over the stores in just a couple of weeks. It doesn't take much probably less than an hour if you find a complete newly opened box like I did. But I did not want a complete set and just took what I needed which took me less than half an hour through touch and feel. AC

Found today a fresh box and got the minifigs that I wanted the most. There were only two gladiators (got them!), four royal guards (got two), two dwarves (got both) for myself. Got a Cleopatra, cavewoman and fitness dancer for my wife. AC

Not quite sure about these new recruits... AC

Just posting the light panels would've been too easy! Unfortunately I do not have those tiles, now have to clone them over as soon as I get the feeling back from my fingers! AC

That's the cooling exhaust vent and just posted another one. AC

After building the dunes and the pod, the last ingredient critical to the MOC is the posing of the minifigs. I've used a lot of reference pics and tried to incorporate the most iconic scenes that I know will be instantly recognized. Be proud you're the only one who spotted it! AC

That's only half of the herd and since I've ran out of the other slopes, had to resort to some trickery for the foreground sand dune! That's the look I was going for with the slopes, only wish I had more! Hey, Tatooine had two suns so why not inverted clouds? Btw, that was done on purpose just to find out who's paying attention! Could have been even bigger! Or maybe had the designs on it? Jk. Don't know if it's common knowledge that I don't own a lot of the new sets. Would probably buy one if I could use it in a diorama or a bunch when they go on sale for parts! AC

Not yet but might exhaust the supply when this is completed. AC

Haven't heard from you in awhile and this is really just a quarter of my previous non-SW MOC. The second scene would show why it needed to be larger than usual. Plus I kinda got carried away with the dunes, only wish I had more slopes and it could have been twice bigger! AC

That's exactly why I chose to put those slopes to good use though I ran out of them and had to resort to a little bit more trickery for the foreground dune. The background is a poster with clouds that I've used a number of times on other MOCs. You'll see it clearly on the other pics provided. It was a bit of a pain to get the right shot without the lights reflecting too much but so worth it. Not much choice but to get creative as there's only those two you mentioned in the scene apart from the droids! AC PS. Btw, there's still another scene coming up in a day or two.

Check in time with just a couple more weeks to go. Thus far there are thirteen sign-ups, one done, one almost done and one in progress. That leaves ten to go and those concerned do not have to wait until the end of the month to post their MOCs. There's still plenty of time left to build for those still waiting to sign-up! AC

One can only hope. That's what happens when you run out of the right pieces (more slopes)! You never know what you may need once you land! But not as long as that one, this will be done by weekend. I've used the plates technique before but this time I wanted to make full use of the slopes. Plus it gave me a good reason to finally deconstruct this. Should be done in no time. AC

Haven't you seen enough? Don't you just like the suspense buildibng up? Not gonna happen anytime soon and don't work at the factory but don't we all wish we did? Nowhere near Nathan's seemingly unlimited brick supply and just found out that he went to the Lego store that I frequently go to buy some bricks. Now what's up with that? Yes, I do agree! Nice, little MOC to start off the community build. And it looks like we were both thinking of the same scene except in different scales! AC
