It's really just up to both of us to enliven this CB so my last one should really give it some needed boost! Hope yours will too. Whatever happened to those who signed up? And that Rook guy too? AC

It's based from the minirig type vehicle that Hasbro made as HJR pointed out. I couldn't find a more suitable canopy so I used those and it's not an exact match to the Hasbro details but I made sure that it had most of the features. It's definitely swooshable and sturdy. I haven't done an SW ship/vehicle in awhile so this is just the start of maybe something bigger... This is a CB not a competition/contest, just build what you can for the community spirit. How much more obscure can it get and do I get Imperial credits for this? AC

The Republic attack dropships swoop into battle to deploy troopers. These compact fighters are armed with cannons and chin guns to drill deep into battle zones. The pilot briefly lands with the ship's cockpit rotated into deploy position to drop up to two troopers onto the field before flying back into the air and providing close ground support. Still working on this Dropship and it's swooshable! AC

Quite harder than black as too much reflections from the lamps kept me from taking pics at different angles. Those Talz jumping out from the snow were in the scene and they're actually sitting down. :) AC

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I've almost got blinded with all the white bricks for this. I was thinking of doing another entry but didn't have enough time for it. AC

Thanks and welcome to EB, however please refrain from commenting on posts over three months old as it's not well received for obvious reasons. AC

Are Star Wars MOC Builders becoming a dying breed?
ACPin replied to HJR-Holland's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I won't take all the blame, add Rook to that! Guilty, guilty, guilty! Don't get your hopes up too much about getting FP all the time as it doesn't work that way. Also don't build MOCs expecting them to be FPed or TBB or blogged in SW sites as you'll be setting yourself for a big disappointment. Build what you like and if the praises come along, consider them icing on the cake! At least I'm not alone taking the blame, who knows I'll probably whip up a spaceship when I get bored doing dioramas. AC -

I guess we're even as I won't dare do a spaceship that you've done for the same reasons you've pointed out about my MOCs! AC -
Had to take a break for training and running races (done two half-marathons this year). Back for now until it's time for another race next month. It's still a WIP so things may change, this is a scene prior to the previous one I did on the same planet. AC

Are Star Wars MOC Builders becoming a dying breed?
ACPin replied to HJR-Holland's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Come on, there's so much more to be done. If I had the luxury of space and brick inventory like you have, I'd definitely would be able to build them bigger and better. Wait a minute, now it's my fault for you not building SW MOCs anymore? You know that you can build a lot more than what has already been done. It doesn't have to be massive all the time unless you're thinking of the battles/bases/buildings. There's certainly a lot of iconic scenes that haven't been done yet which I'm planning to do and they would certainly just fit in a large baseplate like this one. If you're planning to do an MOC that was already done by someone else, put your own spin on it and make it better. The whole key to do better MOCs is being able to learn from others the designs/techniques and making them your own. If you want to solicit opinion on the progress of your MOC, then do what I do and post WIP pics of it. Be prepared though for C&C that may or may not be favorable. In the end, it's what your insights on when you started the MOC that counts, no matter what other say. Build for your own satisfaction and if others appreciate it, consider it as icing on the cake! When greedy Chairman Cho breaks the agreement established by the Jed with the Talz chieftain Thi-Sen by insisting the planet and the Talz are under his power, the conflict escalates into war between the senator led clones and the Talz. Still a work in progress! AC

I certainly agree with most of the comments that have been made earlier. But if you're not MOCing, then you're also part of the problem. That's why I've restarted the Community Builds to get more members to participate and MOC on a common theme. The object of the CBs is to get all levels of expertise involved within a sufficient timeframe. Participation has always been and will always be the key to a successful CB. There are lots of sign-ups at the start but as we've seen in the previous CBs, we haven't gotten 100% participation in all of them since it started in July 2011. At least we've gotten some interest for new MOCs during the CBs, just imagine what it would be like if we didn't have them at all. Participate, build, contribute and stop asking the same question if you're not willing to be part of the solution. AC -
