  1. Here are my latest acquisitions in action! AC
  2. [pid][/pid]219A The exploration and conquest of the New World often brought conflict between the various European countries and their armies that often started with skirmishes and ended with full scale battles. Click the pic for more details... AC
  3. Most likely deleted by the person as I only posted a comment on the pic. I merely commented "Please take these down as these are not yours." I didn't even look if my comments were in fact posted or rejected. I've only mentioned about the user in this thread and didn't even contact TLG about it. So no matter how/who deleted the account, it's all good now. Until somebody else comes along... AC
  4. Plus almost everything was posted on the same day and his comments on them are just too hard to believe that he actually owns them! "Anyone who beats my entire collection on 70,947 mini figs and 4,782 vehicles, gets all of my star wars sets" AC
  5. Here we go again with user Legoninjagojay5284. I've seen some of these pics in the army building thread. Pics 2 and 4 are mine. Lego clone army AC
  6. It would be interesting to find out the final tally for the entries (or at least the winners), if possible. Not gonna happen! It's mine, mine, my precious (ooops wrong theme ) Great contest in terms of scale, participation, organization and what else is there to say that hasn't been mentioned above. Big thanks to the LSW staff and the support of everybody in EB that make these contests possible. My heartfelt thanks to those who voted for my entry and congrats not only to the winners but also for all the entries in the contest. AC
  7. Here's the original thread for the Petranaki arena. And the work-in-progress thread of the build for the various parts. AC
  8. Assembling a small battle droid army for future works. Missing one flank used in this. AC
  9. I managed to snag six of these when TRU had a sale for them at $15@ plus a $10 off coupon for $50 purchase. Just waiting for another chance like that to get more of them so I have no complaints about this set. AC
  10. Sorry, they're not movable. I'm rearranging the whole space around the worktable as I need to make room for these MOCs that I intend to bring to the shows. Otherwise I won't be able to build any new MOCs (bigger) if it's not done and I'll try to remember to take more pics when it's completed. AC
  11. When building new MOCs, I wind up ransacking older MOCs for pieces that I need. This goes on repeatedly until there's not much left and thus I save time sorting! Case in point was this MOC where I got most of the tan pieces for the MOCs on the table. AC
  12. It's much more prevalent in that site also for MOCs as well. I've had my works showing up there before under some kids' names and unfortunately it happens again and again. I've learned my lesson that whatever you post on the internet becomes fair game. Even so-called trusted sites repost without giving due credit to the original author/post. Sad but true. AC
  13. I've been able to experiment with various layouts for these and next time I'll vary the gradient on the grounds instead of just the flat baseplates. I've been to several convention centers around NJ and that color for the back walls seem to be common amongst them. Instatnly recognized by the kids and just had to sway most of them from trying to play with it! AC
  14. I've been asked numerous times about what happened to Akai Shiro and the answer was always deconstructed! Half-truth in a way since the three core pieces (dojo, castle, samurai house) were actually left intact. After I've brought the dojo and the samurai house in one show, I've decided to bring out the castle for the next show. Smaller than the original but nevertheless the kids liked it especially those familiar with the Ninjago sets. A new addition on the bottom left corner is the 2504-1 Spinjitzu Dojo which did not require any mod as it fit right into the theme. AC PS. If there's more space available in the next show, I will probably resurrect the whole castle grounds in all it's glory!
  15. I'll show more pics later on. Exactly! I only occupy half of the basement so I continually have to move things around. Been there, done that and good luck with your Lego room. Now you see the logic of why I have to deconstruct the MOCs more than I want to. Otherwise I won't have room to start building new stuff! More or less, and you haven't seen yet the boxes in the garage where I keep these! Getting crowded in here as I have to keep them built longer since I've been bringing them out for the shows. I know the feeling and imagine what I have to go through to sort these out when I finally deconstruct them. Fortunate enough to have a decent air-conditioning system that doesn't leave a lot of dust. And how many times have you been looking for that specific piece even when you think you've sorted out everything? AC
  16. Just missed the boat on three boxes at my local TRU. Only 16 packets left and none that interest me, should've gone there this morning when they opened. AC
  17. I've been asked numerous times before where I build and have mentioned that there's a 4'x8' table in the basement that my MOCs are built. Back and beneath the table are shelves where plastic organizers/drawers contain the bricks sorted by colors. More shelves on the left wall with more plastic organizers/drawers and boxes of large sets used also for storage of minifigs by theme. It's not pretty so I dare not show the pics but you get the general isea when these boxes are stacked on top of each other. Unpacked MOCs after this weekend's show Since it's a tight quarters from the basement going up, I usually pack them upstairs in the living room. Nothing fancy and I sure wish I had more room to work with. AC
  18. Did not buy any sets but I saw these displays. AC PS. Did you find the same displays in your area?
  19. Another show done! AC
  20. This will have to wait until next week as I've got a show to attend to this weekend. AC
  21. Final prep before packing it. This will also be packed with some new additions. See you there! AC
  22. Finally got back to working on this as I got sidetracked from the past few months with other projects. Posted August 6, 2012 So I've been busy with the other themes for the past few weeks and just started to have some fun building a new SW MOC! AC
  23. It's night time and everything close to it was torched on impact! Hey, you learn something new everyday. I actually gave it some thought of whether to give this the whole works but nah too much work and not enough time to do it (it will require at least three more large baseplates to include machinery, medical tents, etc...). That's only four and could've easily bought more but I didn't have much need for an army of them! Come back anytime. Look who's talking about large scale MOCs! Too weird to think you knew about what the scorched ground was about. I'm pretty sure you would've guessed what parts were used for that ring. AC
