  1. The Buffalo Bill's Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World shows created by William Frederick Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill, can be credited with helping to create and preserve the dramatic myth of the Rough Riders and the American Old West. His extravaganzas glamorized it into an appealing show for Eastern American audiences and helped permanently preserve the legends. AC For those interested in building their own...
  2. [pid][/pid]237B The British soldiers shore up their formidable beach defenses ready to repel any invaders. The artillery crew man the cannons from their firing positions as more soldiers beef up the shore line. AC
  3. And you call yourself a SW regulator and blogger? Shame on you for not identifying the sticker correctly! You should be demoted to a rebel trooper for that! AC
  4. Everything is pure Lego including the sticker. AC
  5. Yeah, so I've been out of the SW builds for sometime. But I'm starting to rebuild/upgrade an old MOC starting with this. AC
  6. Unfortunately the katana doesn't come in chrome silver... AC
  7. Good for you but work got the best of my schedule so I won't make it again! AC
  8. This will do as I always put in a SW piece in most of my nonSW creations. Nah, I'll let somebody else try that other chair. You're probably right about this being my smallest creation. C'mon 90% of the pieces are already shown. Good keen eye, I actually wanted to pose him with some other XMen but then I realized about the size issue. I've tried the other steering wheels but were much smaller when I needed something in-between sizes. So Charles is by himself as he usually does, unless Magneto is hovering around. AC
  9. Sometimes a build just happens with a key piece... AC
  10. There seems to a lot of them on eBay right now and some are with the buy it now for the same retail price of $3.99 that I bought one from a Walmart. AC
  11. Yes, I am and a member of PhLUG on FB. Thanks for the blog and those torsos were just right for the Filipino soldiers based from some photos I found about the execution. AC
  12. [pid][/pid] 241A Mi Ultimo Adios (Spanish, 'My Last Farewell') is a poem written by Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal on the eve of his execution on 30 December 1896. Jose Rizal's advocacy of liberty through peaceful means rather than by violent revolution makes him Asia's first modern non-violent proponent of freedom. Forerunner of Gandhi and contemporary of Tagore and Sun Yat Sen, all four created a new climate of thought throughout Asia, leading to the attrition of colonialism. Jose Rizal was tried before a court-martial for rebellion, sedition, and conspiracy, was convicted on all three charges, and sentenced to death. Before his execution on December 30, 1896 by a squad of Filipino soldiers of the Spanish Army, a backup force of regular Spanish Army troops stood ready to shoot the executioners should they fail to obey orders.
  13. Thanks all for your comments and quite surprised that the kneeling effect hasn't been done by anyone. You'll also need this to attach it to the baseplate. AC
  14. [pid][/pid] 241B The British greatly emphasized mass line infantry fire and prized discipline. In this regard, punishment was strict for deserters and disobedience. The firing line allowed for the maximum number of muskets to be brought to bare on a target, and therefore the highest volume of fire. British soldiers were drilled extensively in the use of these primary weapons, until they could load and fire their muskets with their eyes closed. British officers usually armed themselves with flintlock pistols and sabers. AC
  15. There's nothing special at the back, if you look at the last pic the parts used are easily recognizable. I've been told by a few that they managed to duplicate the basic ones without any difficulty. AC
  16. Here's more Minion madness to celebrate the #1 Box Office movie for the week. AC
  17. Well you asked for more so check out the other thread! I think I got those from the free pieces that came with the promo block sets from way back. AC
  18. Why do Minions love Chiquita bananas? AC
  19. Thanks all and there's a new one posted! AC
  20. That's what I thought as well! Well deserved, congratulations! AC
  21. Quick build as I was sorting through the yellow pieces, found the 1x4 smiley while the commercial for the movie was on TV. Ding! AC
  22. Nice to meet you again and the White Plains store is actually opening this weekend. I'm pretty sure they'll have the similar freebies but I won't be attending that. AC
  23. These two worlds in parallel dimensions have long coexisted independently but legend has it that the portal between them opens up once in thousands of years but no one knows for sure exactly when. Warriors on both side are stationed to keep watch of the portal for when that time comes these two worlds will collide! AC
  24. Do these answer your question? AC
  25. If it's the light inside the house then it is a small LED light, the other lights outside are photoshopped. AC PS. You can message me next time instead of reviving an old thread.
