Too bad you have a problem :/ it is an awesome model! First of all, be patient. I strongly hope that u manage to find and fix the problem :) I'll share my suggestions to troubleshoot the problem: After you switch on the rc unit (receiver) make sure all the batteries make proper contact with the battery nests underneath. The rc unit should receive signal from the remote even without antennaes from a short distance ( less than half a meter ) Also, did you try and see if it works on all 3 channels ? You could open the RC Unit using a phillips screwdriver tinspect it. Check if there are any unsoldered cables for example, or any other obvious faults. Maybe the remote itself could be the culprit, so check that too. Good luck!

RC Unit questions (pictures)
le60head replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Good luck with trying to clean and re-apply lubrication on your Buggy Motor! I thought about doing it myself, but i was scared of damaging the motor when trying to open it. Your experience would be really helpful! Please share ;)- 13 replies

Stickers template?
le60head replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
right dimentions for what sticker exactly? U know, stickers are not all the same size :) It depends on the size of the part they go on. -
I spoke to a friend of mine, and i think i figured out something significant. Both the LEGO Train Speed Regulator and the LEGO Technic Control Center II are sold together with the 10v AC, 7VA transformer (shown in the first post in this topic). For that reason the input for both is labeled "9-12 v ~" Thanks to Blakbird i learned that the LEGO Technic Control Center II works just fine with a DC transformer, although it was originally sold with an AC transformer. Though this is just a guess, the Train Speed Regulator would work with DC as well, but perhaps it will be unable to alter the output voltage. ( i have not tested that)

Thanks for the clarification, blakbird! So you use ac to 12v dc transformer for your cc. I was asking you that, since it is labeled "9-12v ~" on the control center itself, meaning ac power input. If i can use 12v dc for it, than there's no probem at all :) Once again - thank you for clarifying my doubts!

Information regarding upcoming set 40200 - BMW
le60head replied to le60head's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the clarification! Too bad its not what i originally hoped -
Hello all! I got very surprised! I just stumbled upon a listing of a set nr. 40200 simply named "BMW" On Brickset, there are a only a few parts from its inventory: http://www.brickset....il/?set=40200-1 Seeing the wheels, which are listed on brickset, im a bit disappointed. I thought it would be a bigger model. Lets hope that there is some kind of an error. If anyone knows anything certain about this model, please share! This was the first time for me to notice that TLG is preparing such a model for us this year.

Pjaltenborg's corner!

Very nice idea! I've been inspired by the "fallercar concept before" but this is also a good plan to make moving vehicles in a city layout! -
Over volting RC unit?
le60head replied to clarkdef's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've also thought about finding a way to add 2 more batteries to the RC Buggy Unit. The reason being that I use rechargeable batteries. The current idea i have is to add an additional 2-battery extension container and hook it to the RC Buggy unit. Another idea i've had is to add a power-on LED light, so that i remember to switch it off every time :) Good luck with your project! I'm looking forward to seeing your results! -
Request for a sticker scan
le60head replied to le60head's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Good news guys! I've acquired the sticker sheet in mint condition! I'll share a high-res. scan with you soon! Maybe i'll do a vectorized remake as well :) -
Thank you! Pint, when i am finished with my model (which will hopefully be soon enough!) i can make a comparison with or without the diff to see whether it makes a difference in such a small scale. I guess i can instead make only one of the wheels on the axle drive the vehicle, and leave the other one spin freely. I have tried that so far and it works. Only downside is that the radius of the left and right turns becomes different in this case :)

Great Poll! Here's my reply to question 1: I only received the Mindstorms RCX 2.0 set as a child, second hand . I never bought the NXT sets ( 1.0 or 2.0) because of the price. In the country i live in the NXT 2.0 set costs a bit more than 400 euro, which is too much for my budget. Last year i managed to get my hands on the NXT Programmable Brick, again second hand. Same goes for the Motors, Sensors etc.
