The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Robianco replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I just got back from a quick swing past Smyths Toys in Speke and the girl at the counter basically forced me to take some of the LBM CMF posters. I felt out a few of the figures when walked away with Batman, Robin, Joker and Nurse Harley posters. After her looking through they seemed to be the only unique variants there. She actually gave me three Harleys which my daughter has claimed 2 of! -
I can't believe this thread had fallen so far down the pages. I had a lucky haul so I thought I'd share. I posted on FB about whether anybody knew someone in a retail store who could help secure a box of lego Batman Move CMF figures when a friend asked if I wanted to buy her son's Lego collection. Initially she said £100... which then doubled to £200 but I was still interested. I knew he had a Helicarrier but I didn't want to rip him off so when he said he wanted to keep that I was fine with it... He was a friend's son after all. So I popped down with £200 without know too much of what was there to see if we had a deal. There was a multi draw thing kid's have for toys which was full of lego and there was some other boxes and a quick scout said It was at least worth what I paid. Then I started to build the things.. Helped by the fact that included was 1 set of instructions... for 10188 Death Star! With a couple of small orders to BL which have totalled around £40 I currently have: 10188 Death Star - Complete with all figures 9516 Jabba's Palace - Complete with some figures but no Jabba, Oola or Bib Fortuna. 75005 Rancor Pit - Complete with all figures and Rancor 75916 Dilophosaurus Ambush - Complete with all figures 75915 Pteranodon Capture - Complete with all figures 76021 Milano Spaceship Rescue - Complete with all figures 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission - 76019 Starblasters Showdown - Complete but no helmet for Nova Pilot 9468 Monster Fighters Vampire Castle - Complete with all figures 76047 Black Panther Pursuit - Complete with all figures 76048 Iron Skull Sub Attack - Complete with all figures 76049 Avenjet - Complete with all figures 76050 Crossbones Hazard Heist - Complete with all figures 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle - Complete with all figures 76032 Quinjet City Chase - Complete with all figures 76038 Avengers Tower - Complete with all figures 60051 High Speed Train - Complete 31026 Bike Shop - Complete 31025 Mountain Hut - Complete ...as well as several other sets as I keep finding. There's also Star Wars figures that lead me to believe there's at least partial if not complete: 9493 X-Wing 8038 Endor Bunker 8095 Grievous Starfighter 75019 AT-TE There's some Chima and Ninjago that I don't have a clue about too... I'll see how I get on with that stuff.

That was my thought. Even for a Batman fan such as myself I'm just about at my fill of Bat variants at the moment. Hoth Bricks have got the full story on it. Available for pre-order from Amazon for a release in May... slightly later for France. I'm kind of hoping for a Saturn Girl release... seeing as there was no cube last year something new would be a nice alternative to the whole Bat theme this year.

No Nobody has given a view either way. You've already told me I'm not tolerant of your view... without me actually saying anything.
-
It was a question. No judgement either way. Let me know your view and I'll tell you whether I'll tolerate it.
-
I've not seen a Decool 3000. Can you send a link?
-
I'm not really sure that was attacking the opposing stance rather than pointing out that the opposite view of respect and inclusion is hate and division. I'm assuming your need to leave the conversation means you don't think things should be inclusive or tolerant to people's sexual orientation?

He may know someone who works at a retailer or other retail partner that gets access to the catalogues. They're not meant to be shared or photographed and I've always been under the impression that if you do share information like this then it can have consequences as a retailer. There are members of this forum who get to see catalogues or go to events organised by Lego to showcase upcoming sets but they're not allowed to photograph things or even be seen to be sharing descriptions. The fact that some of this info gets out means people are willing to share... getting your iPhone out and photographing the pages might not be the done thing.

I'm not sure it's political correctness rather than just being a nice person. I'm not very PC but I think Littleworlds' comments came across as someone just being nice rather than delicately stepping round a subject in a PC way. Everyone on this forum has a common interest. Lego. We could be chatting in a forum which contains people of a host of skin colours, there could be Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Satanists or atheists... People who are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual or even identify as pets and dress as in large dog suits at the weekend (This is a real thing... I kid you not). The thing is it doesn't really matter does it? If we're talking about the Lego Batman Movie Arkham Asylum or whether they'll remake a UCS Millennium Falcon this year anyone's value of my opinion shouldn't be determined by any of these things. If people think they should then I think that has more to do with them than anything else. I'm sure gender assignment is a difficult thing to go through... to feel like there's something wrong with you and then coming to the realisation that it's down to one of the most basic parts of being human... your male or female form... and whether you feel you fit into it. I'm thankful I've never felt that way. Fingers crossed Lunabricks finds what he/she is looking for. Good luck.

I've just noticed that the other Zebra Batman is listed as Decool on Ali. The Decool cowl actually looks better in the eye moulding and the print. There's a store with single sale on the DLP wave as well as the other so if I was going to spend £2 or so for a Zebra Bats I'd pick up the DLP and Decool and mix them. The other Rainbow Bats has the newer chinless cowl so they're definitely a different manufacturer. The Decool Zebra has the telltale straight hip piece so that's also definitely a different manufacturer to the DLP one.
-
I think there are also versions by Pogo? I only really picked the age up for Batman 3000... my 7yr old had been asking for a Zebra and Rainbow Bats of her own and buying these was better than her playing with the customs.
-
I didn't get any packaging but I've got all the parts here... I may take a look at that and give it to my daughter.
-
My DLP Batman wave with Zebra and Rainbow arrived today. The copies of the LBM figures are clearly inferior to the official ones. I just thought I'd mention that although there's no reason to pick this set up for those figures as they're widely available CMFs anyway. Rainbow and Zebra on the other hand are both pretty fantastic. Zebra in particular in VERY close to my Christo version... all except the cape which isn't quite as detailed and is two pieces bonded together so it's quite stiff. Print all over the body is almost identical to Christo as the cowl has all the same printing too. Zebra is also pretty close to the Brothers Figure version although the spray painting of the BF figure obviously goes to edges that the bootleg doesn't. The cape also doesn't have quite the vibrancy of colour of the plastic one on the BF figure but is still seems better than the Pogo images I've seen. Cowl is excellently printed except for the two areas on the inside of the 'ears' of the cowl that the printer just couldn't reach. If you wanted to mask off and paint those then that would finish it off. The 'Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner' of the wave is the Batman 3000 figure. Hands down the best version of this figure I've seen even over the OLS version. Really nice arm printing as well as very clean and detailed torso and leg print. Head is also very nicely printed with very good design and red band to finish off the look. Cape is double sided with dark red on the inner and black on the outer. I've swapped the cowl out for a genuine one as the DLP is quite shiny (to be honest the plastic on all of the figures is very shiny). I'll take some pictures of the Zebra and Rainbow next to their expensive counterparts so you can see for yourself as well as the fantastic 3000 figure.

That Beyond design is basically a recolour of the SDCC and early Dark Bley Batman Dark Knight suit. Unfortunately for Epic Lego Decals it's never looked good in red and black.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Robianco replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm guessing nobody has received stock yet as everywhere including Amazon is showing as out of stock. Thankfully I have a Lego store close. Nothing at the nearest Smyths or Argos yet so no opportunity for feeling bags. I'm just hoping Tesco get a plentiful supply as that seems to give me the best chance at uninterrupted feeling of bags. im also fine with the amount of Batsuits, even the silly ones... as long as they're accessible if I want to get them. Hopefully the double suit poly will have a similar deal in the UK as it is in the US. I'm also interested in the Battle Pod bag with the Tiger Skin Suit so hopefully that's not some convoluted bun-fight to get hold of. -

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Well I popped into the Lego Store in Liverpool One today and it would have got expensive if not for VIP points and a few other things. Everything was in and I decided to spend my VIP point and some vouchers I had on Arkham, Batcave, Jokers' Lowrider, The Scuttler and several CMF bags. I thought it best to get the larger sets out of the way seeing as I had points etc. At least that way the 3 for 2 that arrives at Argos should mean picking up smaller sets will be easier on the pocket. -
That Pogo Rainbow Batman looks like it has Decool hips on it. The hip part that the legs connects to goes straight down from the main hip connection rather than being curved. I ordered the DLP wave and I've had notification that it's been shipped so fingers crossed.

I actually set up Christo's Thrawn design a few years ago (before I actually got Christo's figure) which has the correct insignia but the uniform is the Clone Wars style I think. It looks a little dated now but it wouldn't be difficult to update the styling on it. It's set up in Adobe Illustrator is that would help.

From the Death Star? I think he was the chap that walked past the turbo lift as Han/Luke/Chewie got out to head to the detention centre. Did we find out if he actually had a name? -
I somehow don't get the feeling that's been done by Lego. I don't know why... maybe it doesn't seem professional enough. Why is there no Lepin logo on there or Decool?

The site feels really disjointed at the moment. Here in the UK I've been able to pick up a few of the sets such as the Y-Wing and various battlepacks etc (I could have bought them all but went for my priorities) while they're not available until March in the US/Canada whereas over in the Licensed Forum people are buying up their Lego Batman Movie sets but there's none of that available in Europe. The thing I like about the site is chatting and sharing with people about the sets we've seen, bought and enjoyed but the way things are delayed across various continents is taking that away a little for me. -
It's almost certainly down to concept art and naming. I'm sure Lego didn't just name it a 'hover' tank so the concept art would have named it that way I assume.
