  1. The CMF line has always been a place for parts to be moulded for licensed themes. I immediately thought Starman with that Retro Space bloke. Every time I look at a CMF wave I now wonder which part is being created for something else especially since the Zombie Cheerleader and Harley Quinn.
  2. Cat... You've broken my frustration!! I was looking at that piece thinking 'Where could I use that? There's definitely something about that piece' but I couldn't place it until you said that. The search is on for confused face with glasses...
  3. As I'm in the UK all items from a wave are available at my local Lego store. The UK doesn't restrict retailer exclusives to just those retailers. It's when I read about how many exclusives there are per year and which ones are available it confuses the hell out of me. I'm still not sure why they don't stock everything in bricks and mortar Lego stores in the US.
  4. I must admit... as someone who buys most of their stuff from a Lego shop, retailer exclusives hurt my head.
  5. I still check in but I was never really the first to spot if something new was available. I suppose because of that I try and keep an eye on AE for anything or hope that someone shares some info here. I've not seen the Reddit group so I'm not sure where that is or what kind of content is there.
  6. Yeah... the moulded cowl for the Phoenix Custom figure does look fantastic. The Cyclops bricks cowl is 3-D printed rather than injection moulded though. He seems to have three levels of printing available and Hyper-HD is something that gives injection moulded quality results. Those pieces are then dyed or sprayed the right colour. I hope for his sake he gets it right or he'll have quite a lot of people complaining to him.
  7. I've got to try and plan setting up a solid stud background to my 50x50 so I can fit in more than the 72 figures in. I'll probably go with the largest plates I can that aren't the softer rounded corner baseplates and glue them in to create a complete stud background. I've also got an idea for creating the mounts that the figures can stand on. I think with the recent TLBM wave and the customs I'll be at over 60 bat variants so I need room to be able to keep adding.
  8. As far as I know the only images have been the box (which looks like it was being folded in the factory) and the blurry pilot images that we're assumed to be from the set.
  9. The legs on both those Stotmtroopers goes to the same place... it's just that the design is different. They can't print to the bottom due to the shape of the pad they use to print. The canopy for the Snowspeeder is something that's definitely needed. I actually quite like the official Lego speeder but with a correct canopy piece it would be so much better. The heads don't bother me at all on Stormtroopers (or any other kind of trooper to be honest) as the helmet stays on mine so the print underneath is irrelevant. Black heads would probably be more accurate in the sense of the black collar piece stormies wear being visible rather than it being a flesh head but as you can see from the image above it's not really visible anyway. As others have said, blaster moulds would be nice but not overly important. These are all mostly minifigure things to make them more accurate though and I can overlook them for the most part. The recent X-Wing canopy shows how that can really update a set and the T-47 canopy really should get an update.
  10. I don't have a photo of the Batsman figure from Christo but it's basically this character: The Frank Miller Batman is from Cyclops bricks: and is available to pre-order here: http://www.cyclopsbricks.com/product-page/the-grumpy-crusader-pre-order The Bale Batman is from Phoenix Customs and is no longer available to pre-order but will be available at Phoenix Custom bricks website when it's printed. Here's the figure:
  11. The Imperial Groundcrew from Rogue One being in the Advent Calendar is nice... especially alongside the Imperial Officer. I think we've got a good mix of figures there in that Calendar. Shame we didn't get to see the actual Bounty Hunters BP though.
  12. Have I just completely missed the post for the Battlepack?
  13. Yeah... I was thinking both blue and black but the yellow oval doesn't work with that Batman design. It seems pointless to me. I'm actually thinking about printing up 50 of the Sonar Suit Batman from the Lego Batman game.
  14. Yeah... That's the fellas. I'm still torn over whether to order the blue or black Miller Batman.
  15. Maybe when recent Christo, Phoenix and Cyclops customs arrive! ;)
  16. But isn't that the most reliable way of finding out? ;) I wouldn't say UCS means minifig scale. Especially not on smaller vehicles. The regular snowspeeder we've had countless times is pretty much minifig scale as is the system scale X-Wings etc. This is just a large scale model of the Snowspeeder. I think the inclusion of minifigs on sets like that are something that jars with people as they offer no play features and are there for decoration almost.
  17. I think the wingspan is 2 studs shorter on the new one but I don't think that detracts from the model at all. The nose section is also shorter on the new version but he windscreen appears longer and the overall shaping is far superior to my eyes.
  18. Definitely not minifig scale. The system scale version in sets such as Assault on Hoth are very close to minifig scale. This is a display model similar to Red Five and the recent TIE Fighter. Thanks for the clarification, Cwetqo. I had a feeling that would be the case but it's good that it's been clearly stated to avoid anyone posting it.
  19. That's a beautiful looking model right there. Regardless of whatever figures they decide to add to it. It's not a confidential image but I think EB would need to get some clarification of whether the image can be posted here.
  20. That would make some kind of sense based on what we've seen with the figures on that photo. These images haven't been updated in a little while but definitely seems like both of those are new helmets. They may not seem like the most exciting figures to include but seeing as we've has Luke and Wedge's Speeders released over the last couple of years it would make sense to give us both pilot and gunner to the only other recognised Speeder we see. If UCS sets are minifig scale or play sets then the figures are integral to the 'play' of that set, when we get something like the UCS TIE or the Tumbler the figures become an added incentive and are decoration for the stand while the main attraction is the construction part of the build. The TIE pilot in the UCS set has printed arms and the new helmet was available on B&P for a long time (it might still be). so the printed arms are still the only thing unique to that set. If I was getting the Snowspeeder, and I probably am, then the build would be the reason. new Hoth pilots would be a bonus.
  21. Looking at those helmets again and neither of them have been done before. The one with the red Rebel insignia is different from any other variant of that helmet I've seen. Here's the updated Wedge, Wes, (original) Zev, Luke, generic pilot and Dak. The stripe on the centre part of the helmet is new to a helmet with red insignia and Zev's helmet has some detailing on the side section as well as the front block part of the central rim which is printed also.
  22. If the image of the pilots is real then I'm inclined to believe this is the usual factor leak photo when a few of the figures are bunched together for a photo. The Mexican Lego Markeplace Facebook group as well as various eBay sellers from Mexico tend to get figures such as these in bunches... they sold plenty of the Batman and Joker from the UCS Tumbler set. I'm actually inclined to believe it's real. I'll keep an eye out on the Mexican FB group in case any pop up.
  23. I'd say that just means they built them as real sets for the movie... they weren't just cgi creations. That doesn't offer any indication of a third wave to me.
  24. Great find. But I have to ask how much the lot cost?
