Apologies Oki. It's easy to get a little giddy when nice new customs arrive. I try and photograph things as a set such as all the Jokers with official and custom releases together. I must admit I wasn't planning to update as much with things like the recent photos as I'm trying to organise things into frames etc so they'll be displayed together as a full collection whether they be custom or official. -

You might want to check the previous page. Yoda's TIE Interceptor Mini Jedi Fighter looks cute... although I won't be picking it up. Y-Wing is a definite buy... looks great and excellent minifigures. As long as Thrawn's eyes are red enough then he's about as good as I'd have hoped. The dark blue slick back hair is exactly as he is in Rebels although I'd prefer the Dr Who/Tarkin Hair in black for a EU version. I like the look of the Scarif set and all of the battlepacks and microfighters are also definite purchases. Here's hoping the OT sets that were rumoured offer us something nice in the way of new or updated figures even if the builds might be lacklustre. I'm definitely hoping that's just the image making it look like that whereas they're redder in real life.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

As soon as I saw the Batgirl figure I thought that brasso'ing off some of the print to simplify the design would give a good 66 Batgirl figure. Plain arms and clean off all the print from the legs and then maybe take the side detail off the torso and we'd be good to go. -
I don't own those Iron Man or Whiplash figures anymore so I'm sometimes a little jealous when I look at them too ;) ... Glad I moved away from marvel though. It was all getting a little too expensive. With regards to those DLP figures though... The Iron Man and Thor are new along with the Hydra Cap which looks like it could be a clone of Phoenix Customs figure (which isn't even out yet), Red Hulk obviously isn't TLG as it's not a bigfig. Vision, Spidey and Hawkeye look like Tanker Truck Takedown clones though.

The one thing I think about the Iron Man stuff is that even though people are crying out for the remaining marks and I can see why... I still think some of the marks such as MkV can be done better. Most bootleggers have always printed grey or silvery arms but my Christo version has red arms with silver armour printed onto it and I think it looked better and closer to the film armour (although there was a lot of silver the tops and sides of the arms were red). I think if SY got things like that right they'd still be a pretty valuable addition to things. My Christo MKII, MKIII and MKV were far better than any bootleg and they were simpler in their design. I added bootleg helmets onto these and they looked fantastic.

This is indeed a legit thread. As others have said the quality of 'bootlegs' can range from absolute crap to as good as Lego. I know others have said that SY and Decool were the gold standard but after their very first waves SY really upped their game and, for me, were consistently excellent quality. Decool have always been prone to printing errors. Pogo and Xinh are the companies that have the widest and most diverse range of releases happening at the moment but I'd take one or two DLP figures over a wave of Pogo or Xinh. I think DLP work from the SY factory and they're currently the company capable of putting out stuff that you can have alongside Lego or top end pad print customisers and wouldn't look out of place. With regards to cheating on Lego I'd say if you just wanted cheap versions of official stuff (the reason the old thread was shut down) then yeah... you could probably say you're cheating on Lego. But this thread is for stuff not released by Lego so there's no cheating going on... You can be completely monogamous for those things that Lego release... you can just expand things where you want to. Here's some examples that I've currently got on my Flickr where I think the really good quality bootleg stuff can be as good as anything: You've got Arkham Knight Batman from DLP at the top, The second Nightwing in from the left is an SY figure with official head along with the regular Lego Nightwing releases, DLP Batman Beyond figure next to a Christo pad printed custom (DLP on the right), DLP Green Lantern Batman (the legs are genuine Lego and are printed worse than the torso), second Aquaman from the left is from SY with modded head alongside Christo's Mera and then Decool BvS Aquaman with Thorin head and hair (regular Aquaman on the left) and then finally an older SY torso of Captain America First Avenger alongside the Christo WWII Cap, Christo Red Skull and Phoenix's Stealth Suit Cap. There's bootlegs that cost £1 alongside customs that cost a hell of a lot more and when they get them right they don't look out of place at all. I've said this stuff many times so apologies to the regular readers for repeating myself but I still think a very well done bootleg, even on third party ABS, has a valid place alongside genuine Lego figures and other custom figures printed on Lego. The shields that the left two Cap figures on the photo above have are by Brickforge (left) and Christo's own moulded versions in silver... neither of these are genuine Lego ABS but are somehow considered superior and more widely accepted. I'll also add in another: If Lego don't give us Saturn Girl to round things off then we have something that won't make the lads too lonely.

Is it just the gold one? I don't think the Batriot and St Batricks Day are going to be released are they? The vambraces on the gold one are useful for customs such as Namor although they're not part of the released figure... best to avoid images like that though... Yeah... that post got completely messed up with quotes. That's not a quote from Mooproxy... it's my post.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Robianco replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think someone mentioned that there were some variations of Batman expressions on the head. I think the body is identical on all of them but I'd guess at there being maybe two different heads that would give 4 expressions. -
I hope DLP have their usual superb quality for those figures. SY did a white suit Superboy based on the Eclipse version a couple of years ago and this seems to have the same muscle definition as that one. Obviously have a superior print for the SDCC Cap is also nice.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Nobody knows. There isn't a single person on this board that knows the date they'll be released and that goes for pretty much any Lego fan forum. They will appear when Lego release them or a third party get hold of the images and decide to leak them. -

No... I don't see that happening. No official Lego store anywhere is going to have these on shelf until their scheduled release day regardless of its location or size. -

Cheers, mate. 43 of them at this stage... 44 when SoCal print their Captain Bat. FigNation will have Flashpoint and Arkham Knight variants to replace these ones by early next year. So that'll be 44 before we add the 10 or 12 TLBM variants. I don't print customs or paint figures to make them. Most of the non-Lego releases here are pad printed customs by various customisers such as Christo and FigNation. Nightmare Batman is one I've put together with custom printed and moulded items such as the goggles. Once I got the Rainbow Batman they definitely needed to come out of the storage boxes. I think I'll be finding a frame (or two) from IKEA to get them displayed properly but the ever expanding nature of a Batman collection can be an issue for things like that. You know you've got it bad when you've got over 20 Robin variants! -

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I think that's part of the reason for confusion and frustration. The people who share the info can't always say where they got it as that will give a clue to a leak. Unfortunately only time will prove reliability and people will just have to trust the things were told. -

Don't forget about sales tax in the US and Canada that you pay on top of that price shown. Imagine our price in the U.K. but without that VAT added on... it'd feel a lot less... but we just have our taxes added on before we get to the till. £79.99 would be more like £63.99... then the tax is added when we pay. -

I'd aim for same price in pounds as they are in dollars. If it isn't £79.99 then I'd be surprised. -
Agreed. But then again, it happens every single year. Hothbricks Flickr feed does seem to be pretty comprehensive once those images are released.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Some people may have seen a retailer catalogue that indicated the RRP at that time. Whether the prices change from the retailer preview catalogue to the time of release is up to Lego but just because it isn't shared on here doesn't mean someone has just made it up. This is the same as people reporting that certain figures are in the CMF wave... If the wave changes then people start to jump up and down saying that the person made it up. They didn't. Whether the members of these threads like it or not there are people who get to see things a lot earlier than anyone else... even before catalogues are printed up, and they simply aren't allowed to share that information, at least not fully. Delta Customs was ridiculed openly before this year but just happened to give a completely accurate list of releases and people now believe him... The info he was given could have changed but even then he'd still have been honest about what he'd heard and was allowed to share. -
This is a six year old thread. There is nothing to add to this.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I think the last rumour I heard there was around 5 Batsuits in the CMF line. Add in Excalibat to that along with the suits in the Cave and that gives us around 11 I think. -
Tony at Fignation is working on an Arkham Knight Batman followed by a Flashpoint Batman now that his Arkham Knight Robin is finished. I'll be keeping my Flashpoint DLP until that comes out.
-
I'll take a look at that. I think I might wait until there's a 3 for 2 at Argos at the same time as TLBM sets are out for some of those too.

My sig-fig and I are very much looking forward to Zebra Man's arrival... Killer Cricket. Is that from the alternate cut of Pinochio where he's a criminal mastermind in Gotham? -
Digger has review the Pogo Assassin's Creed figures: He's also done the Watchmen figures too.
