  1. But just listing figures from ANH and saying it's probably one of them is almost pointless. It just feels like posting something for the sake of it. Nobody is confirming or denying anything. If there's no news then the thread should go quiet.
  2. I'll be grabbing those legs for my Snowtroopers also. As others have noted when searching BrickLink there are a couple of German sellers who have hundreds of these in stock... along with hundreds of various heads and other parts. Definitely not through splitting sets.
  3. You should be fine for that. I don't see that set being retired before the promo.
  4. Seconded. Any listing would just be wild speculation with nothing to back any of it up. As much as there's a couple of people on that list I'd like it to be there's nothing to say it's going to be any of them. One thing is pretty much definite though and that is it's not that Lando figure which was pretty much set up to look like a leak but was quite poorly done.
  5. I think changes in designs such as Vision etc are also down to the design team wanting to make things right. They produce excellent designs whether they're limited to torso and head print or, in the case of the Lego Batman Movie, full leg, arm, torso and head print. We get to see the finished movie and then look at the Lego figure... the designer had a concept sketch supplied 12-18 months ago to work from. I bet they shake their head far more an AFOL Lego buyers when a character's design changes from concept to release thus rendering their work incorrect.
  6. I can see it being both ways. I think he was commenting more on the fact that the buying decisions of AFOLs are pretty irrelevant in sets like this as they make up such a tiny, tiny portion of the actual sales figure. If 99% of these sets are bought by kids and kids don't care about leg printing then why do they need to worry about printing the legs?
  7. I think he'd be on the box art because it's the Justice League and he's about as important a visual element of the Justice League as anyone else. I think people can look into things like that a little too much... besides... It's Superman... Even kids know he isn't dead for good. Look... It's just that time of year again. New waves coming out and new movies to support = New members and new leakers 'in the know'. Every year and every wave this happens so let's not give things too much air time and we'll have some firmer things from more well known sources that will either support or dismiss any lists we're currently getting.
  8. Does everyone think that the Flash on that corner graphic gives the impression that we'll get a revised helmet mold? Ezra Miller's costume is obviously different from the CW version but I'm thinking they'll have to make a new mold from the New 52 version we already have and that graphic seems to indicate that. Looking at that I'm even more glad I sold my Christo CW version as I just get the feeling this Lego verison will be getting closer to that version but at a teeny-tiny fraction of the cost. Also... was there any clarification on what the John Stewart Green Lantern figure that Delta Customs showed is from? It definitely looked legit to me. No customiser has pad printed that figure (at least one that has sold it to the public).
  9. Not forgetting they've already done an X-Wing. I think this is a fantastic model and I'll definitely be picking this one up on release. Stickers don't bother me at all and the overall shape and scaling of what is a tricky shape has been done really well.
  10. Let's not get into that discussion... It'll derail this thread massively... and also this obviously isn't an Episode IV set anyway so the 40th Anniversary thing doesn't count for this one at least.
  11. I've been kitting out my figures with more accurate blasters for a little while now. I'm not sure they'd go down the double moulded for things though... I know BrickArms charge £6.50 for one of their FO blasters as they're apparently hand injected. I can't see Lego going to that kind of trouble.
  12. It's interesting that the vehicle has made an appearance that seems to be much more recent. The 'nose' of it is definitely akin to an Imperial landing craft or shuttle but it's definitely a walker of some kind. There's no mention of it in the updated guide to vehicles and vessels. I'd guess that the person who drew it in 1985 just made it up based on imperials having various walkers and this was then picked up on much later by the newer artist. I'd take a few minutes (or more) to browse through here http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Imperial_vehicles and see if anything shows up.
  13. Those DLP Iron Man arms are outrageously good. They'd instantly upgrade almost every Iron Man figure Lego has ever done.
  14. I agree. I'm going to have to pick a couple of those up to make Zod and maybe a Non. Looks really, really good.
  15. Wow... this thread is really REALLY painful at the minute. I think I'll pop back when the mud has been washed away a little and we get some clarity on any upcoming sets.
  16. It looks like it was listed by Steam which has a shop on Amazon. They've just listed it as a Lego item as they look like they sell educational toys of various varieties. It was shown as first available in 2010 so maybe they sold it back then but it's now showing our of stock so I'm guessing it's something they did once and then never put back in stock. Wouldn't surprise me if it was a case of selling an item to look like it was a brand new product (as yet unreleased) and making a pretty penny out of it. I don't think this is something that has been sold by Lego on Amazon but it's simply down to how the item is tagged.
  17. James st spotted that on Jerry's thread. He's posted a second image with the Thor figure side on.
  18. Yeah... I wasn't going to post it here but with seeing the photoshop image you uploaded I just thought I'd drop it in. With regards to completely new custom figures I think Wuher was easy to do, obviously there are various rebel pilots and imperial officers that can be created but I wouldn't really count those as they're just variations of a figure. I did create a legacy Jedi from one of the games once using grey pony tail hair and Boussh torso which worked pretty well. I can't seem to remember the name of the Jedi at the moment though. Just remembered... it was Rahm Kota. Boushh torso, Jedi printed robe legs, grey pony tail hair from POTC with (probably) a Ben Kenobi grey bearded face.
  19. I've done a Mara Jade but I used a Dooku torso. This is an older shot but I've updated the legs to Han's TFA legs as you have used on the Photoshop.
  20. I don't think there's anything about this thread that say something HAS to be purist to update your minifigure. Whether you modify a part of add third party elements such as cloaks, backpacks, weapons etc is all acceptable. Purist mods can be simpler to follow and very effective such as the light grey imperial legs for the Rebel Troopers but the broken helmet on Vader is done really well so I think it works great. It may be more of a custom rather than an update but I wouldn't worry too much about that.
  21. Yeah... I'm sure your web research would be more detailed than mine. As you say I think Flickr seems to be the main meeting place for customs. I'm not really on Instagram but there may be some presence on there.. I know Agoodfella has quite a few followers on there. There's a seller on eBay who seems to be doing pad printing but relatively cheaply (£17 per figure or so) and at the moment they're doing SDCC figures but on official Lego parts. What's the print like on Engineerio's stuff. At first I thought they were a OLS clone but they seem to have a good printer.
  22. It's always hard for customs. It's pretty much just down to stores and what they have in stock. Minifigures.co.uk stocks from a lot of sellers so is a decent place to start. OLS' eBay page has been closed for a while but he's sending new stock through to minifigures.co.uk so they'll all be appearing on there. Christo's website is outdated. Leyilebrick pretty much have all their stock on the site. Then I'd just be listing the sellers main sites to show what figures they have. Brothersfigure, Phoenix Customs, Cyclops bricks... I could probably compile a list of Christo's stuff for you as well as Phoenix Customs, NACM Customs, Cyclops Bricks, UG Minifigures etc... basically anyone who pad prints. There are so many digital figures done I don't even look at them.
  23. Yeah... I draw the line at that too.
  24. The sooner they dual mould them and put a stripe on the side the better. One of the things I really liked about the Kubrick series of Star Wars figures was the level of detail even in the blasters... That's why I've started to update my figures with accurate blasters and the dual moulding and printing of arms and legs is taking things to the next level. The LBM has shown us how detailed things can get.
