I picked it up and used the female torso for a custom Renee Montoya. Both of the male heads actually went on updating and expanding my Rebel Endor Troopers. I actually used the spare Rebel heads for the Police figures so expand the Gotham Police Department. There's a thin line on the right leg of the dual moulded black legs for an overcoat so it doesn't work great for Han unless you rub that out and without the holster I think it would be missing the most important thing.

LOOKING FOR: Stormtrooper Variants
Robianco replied to Captain Britain's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I know this is your thread, Cap... but if your trade for the Chromie falls though I'd like to step in as a back up if that's possible. I've got a big chunk or Marvel figures (and a few DC) here doing nothing. Sorry to hijack. -

Post Your Superhero Minifig Collections Here!

One of the nice things about this thread is not only seeing people's collections but also how they're displayed. I've really come round to the frame idea of displaying things over a 'stepped base' case. That expanded SHIELD display is really tidily put together. -

If anyone wanted a recap of the whole 'Is it red or is it green / Is it canon or isn't it canon / who said what and does it actually matter?' thread I've created a detailed infographic that covers the whole thing in detail: -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

The dome piece on Red Hood doesn't have ears and that's always been the easiest thing to feel for in that figure. Feel the dome until you get the single stud at the top. -
Your best prices from a major retailer?
Robianco replied to BubbaFit45531's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Asda and Tesco supermarkets in the UK used to have some great 'end of wave' reductions on stuff. Regularly 50% off. Best I got at retail was the Republic Striker Class Fighter which I got for £7 from a Tesco store. I think the RRP was £39.99. Council of Elrond was £12 at one point in the same store. I also managed to get hold of the Resistance Troop Transport from Lego S@H for £29.99 which was 50% off.- 16 replies

Just the three official from San Diego. Batman ZEA, Arsenal and Atom. I've got Bizarro, Shazam, Batman 2011 and Black Suit Superman which are all pad printed customs. Soon to add 2011 Green Lantern to that list! -

Glad you got your first, mate! It's all expensively downhill from here! -
On anybody's travels has anyone seen any custom moulded (bootleg) Star Wars blasters? I've picked up a few from BrickArms including the recent pack with their version of Fett's EE-3 as well as the new Bowcaster, Rey's silver blaster and various others. I'd love to kit all my stormtroopers out with some custom E-11 blasters but I'd need around 30 of them. Anybody seen any?

Just new designs or moulds that weren't ready. I'm sure the mould would have been the biggest block on showing them.
-
To be honest I thought that as soon as I saw it. Knowing Lego they'll give her a new, perfect mould and then people will have to BL that to update their Qui-Gon.
-
I'm sure they have all their licensing in place to sell these...

Since when has 'Followers' been a thing on EB? It's bad enough that some members get a metaphorical following but people can now actually declare it via a button?

If we do get a Falcon for $700 or thereabouts I'm not holding out for there being anything other than the regular Falcon crew. I really don't think we'll be getting 15-20 figures. Same happened with the Helicarrier... People were talking about there being 17 figures or so for that and they got 5 (micro figures don't count). It's going to be a lot of money but I see it being that price down to the build rather than the quantity of figures. UCS Falcon had 5 figures. Super Star Destroyer had 5. Slave 1 had four, and these are things that were minifig scale or playset scale. I think the Snowspeeder will have a couple of token figures to accompany a large build set similar to TIE Fighter, Red Five and Batman UCS Tumbler. Location based sets need figures to populate them hence Ewok Village, Assault on Hoth and Death Star getting a range of figures but ships based sets don't really follow that pattern. The Sandcrawler appears to have slightly more figures but once you take the Jawas and droids out of the equation you've basically got Luke and Owen Lars. If we're talking about the Falcon being a 40th anniversary set there doesn't seem to be the need to include figures from 4 different movies. It would be really nice to get Nien Nunb or someone new and making a new Falcon something than spanned the trilogy etc but I'm not holding my breath.

I think in this instance we're all hoping that the rumours are all very true. Someone saying they know for sure but can't say why or say anything new can be frustrating but I'm just going to keep some brick budget available and make some space to display regardless. You know what they say... if it looks like a Falcon and smells like a falcon then it's probably a Blockade Runner. Let's enjoy the Snowspeeder first then we can worry about what follows.

Let's not burn people up just yet. Time always brings about who is genuine and who isn't. If, as Magmafrost has suggested, Chief Togusa is able to share any information that hasn't been leaked so far or brings something firmer to the table then that's great but I can also understand why someone wouldn't be confident in sharing anything in case they get into trouble for doing so. There are people whose jobs can be threatened for leaking information too early no matter how tempting it might be. I know of people on this site for whom this is the case. When you know that one of the most reliable sources is younger than your nephew it puts things into perspective. Let's not hassle Togusa to leak anything. If they can and do then fine. I take most rumours with a pinch of salt until they're confirmed by several known sources anyway.

Alternate Lego Batman Movie Villain Designs
Robianco replied to LegoPerson885's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well I definitely prefer the Two-Face we got over the design shown. The other two are definitely creepier or more aggressive in how they look compared to the final designs but the ones we got fit with the Lego Batman Movie aesthetic better. I think it's easy with the release of the book to look through and find something else in there people prefer as a design. That's just the design process for you... I've presented enough stuff to clients to know that if you give 10 designs to enough people you'll get enough support for each different design. I'm not remotely disappointed the final designs were the ones chosen... I think they work great for the theme. If some of the other designs influence some future DC releases then that's also fine.- 22 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Robianco replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah... I noticed that Flash was a bit closer to the Super Heroes logo after I answered. Whatever it is it must still be on shelf. I'd probably guess at it not being a brick based set. Maybe a keyring torch? -
