  1. http://i.imgur.com/sx3P01X.jpg Better look at the Flash costume. I'm loving the lightning bolts on the side of the head.
  2. I personally find it ridiculous that the Flash even has boots. I understand that all comic book superheroes back in the day had boots because that was the thing to do back then but being a marathon runner/hiking enthusiast, it doesn't make sense. The Batman needs some combat-like boots, which Jim Lee and Paul Pope did in their art, because he's kicking butt and jumping off buildings but the Flash needs running shoes. I'm glad the yellow boots are gone. Many will most likely be against this but why not some golden Asics or even better, some decent running shoes with lightning bolts on the side?
  3. I've got my Martian Manhunter coming in the mail and although I'm way excited to get it, my JLA just isn't going to be complete without Green Lantern. GL is way more essential than MM. I've been watching the Justice League animated series and I'm a huge MM fan but I can't help but feel disappointed that I don't have a GL minifig yet. C'mon LEGO, step it up already! We got a Modok minifig for heaven's sake. Give us the emerald knight already...
  4. I'd have Bruce Wayne's money. Then I'd buy a tumbler, train with some ninjas, buy a cool looking suit, and become Batman. I'd be the Batman of Salt Lake City, Utah! I don't think I'll be fighting much crime though..
  5. I love the Bat. Looks just like it! While I think your Tumbler might be the best LEGO Tumbler that I've probably ever seen, I'm also not digging the gold. I would've left the gold out of the plate 1X1 w. up right holder parts in the back and just made them black. Other than that, I want!
  6. I agree with you, there are a lot of comparisons between Hawkeye and Green Arrow in the comics but DC has definitely defined its character more in the media. Yes, Hawkeye is more popular, obviously, because he starred in the third highest-grossing film ever as well as Thor but we don't know much about him still. We know all about Oliver Queen. We know that he used to be a spoiled brat until he ended up on an island where he had to learn to hunt or else be hunted. I still think it's possible for the DC Universe of television and the DC Universe of film to combine. Stephen Amell has done a decent enough job on the television series to portray the emerald archer on the big screen. He really needs the goatee though... I honestly think that combining the television series with the movies is the only way to go. The Flash is a member of the JLA that must be included in the JLA movie. If there's no Flash, there's no JLA. And since the Flash is getting his own television series, they have to combine the continuity of the television series with the movies or there's going to be a lot of confusion among the audience. There is one thing I do know though: The Batman/Superman movie is either going to make or break the Cinematic DC Universe. Warner Bros is so hesitant to make superhero movies because they don't want to make another Green Lantern or Batman and Robin movie. If Batman/Superman fails then we will most likely not see a JLA movie. I don't think it's going to fail though. I've got hope. I believe in Geoff Johns. The real question is: Who is going to be Green Lantern in the JLA movie? Are they going to keep Hal Jordan or give the ring to John Stewart?
  7. Haha you nailed Kevin Spacey!
  8. On Kevin Smith's Fat Man on Batman podcast Mark Hamill stated that he'd make a return if the story was good. If Paul Dini returns to write the video game and the Joker somehow comes back alive, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hamill make a return. He was the best Joker in my opinion. It's one thing to be amazing on screen (cheers to Heath Ledger), but it's quite a feat to be an amazing voice actor. Hamill's voice is what I hear in my head whenever I'm reading the Joker in comics. I believe the Joker died too but so did Batman in "Batman R.I.P."; as did Cap in "The Death of Captain America"; as well as Superman in "The Death of Superman"; and also Jason Todd in "A Death in the Family". Comic book characters somehow manage to always cheat death.....
  9. I agree with ya there. I feel like it's definitely LEGO's interpretation of Jim Lee's Catwoman. Sort of. I would like to see a change for the headpiece though. I find the mask rather dull. I'd rather have a Catwoman with the goggles. Without the goggles, it doesn't look like Jim Lee's style to me. I wouldn't mind seeing a Anne Hathaway Catwoman minifig either.
  10. I'd prefer the Jim Lee Catwoman or the Catwoman from Arkham City. I'll take what I can get though, so long as another Michael Keaton Batman isn't included in the set...
  11. Of course it's not coming out on the Wii U..... If Paul Dini, Kevin Conroy, and hopefully Mark Hamill are returning, it looks like it's time to buy a PS4.
  12. We may not have gotten the Cuusoo Sandcrawler but at least we're getting a Sandcrawler. What I'm trying to say is voting for the Cuusoo X-Mansion can't hurt. It most likely won't pass but at least it'll give TLG some ideas.
  13. Must be the position from where the photo was taken but that Sandcrawler looks small--too small to be a $300 set.
  14. Looks like the new stud shooting Star Wars blaster is a part of Rocket's giant gun in the Knowhere Escape Mission set.
  15. That mask looks awesome. I hope it's as good as Arrow. I've been loving that show. I've read rumors of Stephen Amell possibly reprising his role as Green Arrow in the future JLA movie just because the show's done so well.
  16. I highly recommend it. It's an awesome set with cool minifigs and a fun build. I basically got it for the Damian Wayne/Robin minifig and the Jack Nicholson-ish Joker but the steamroller and batplane are cool vehicles and a lot of fun to play with. I saw a Joker funhouse set at my local TRU the other day and I'm debating whether to get it or not. I would have to throw in $60 instead of $50 to get it because TRU is ridiculous with pricing...
  17. I agree. The more I see the trailer, the more I like the Groot brick built figure we're getting. The arms are even growing on me!
  18. I completely agree with you there. You're absolutely right when it comes to order. Jay Garrick was the first Flash and the Flash of the Golden Age. DC Comics revamped its comics for the Silver Age and Barry Allen became the Flash. Allen dies in Wolfman's Crisis on Infinite Earths and West takes over. I'm sure that @Suspsy was talking about Barry Allen replacing Wally West in Geoff Johns' Flash: Rebirth. He was resurrected in Final Crisis and took back his mantle. @Suspsy could've easily been talking about Barry Allen being the Flash in the New 52 as well. It doesn't really matter though because @Suspsy's comment was an opinion. He must like Wally West more than Barry Allen when he SAID: "As far as I'm concerned..." There's a lot of people that like Wally West more than Barry Allen because they grew up with him or like his goofy personality more. @korpen4444 - People are sharing their opinions on this forum. That's what this forum is all about. Unfortunately it's not about comics, it's about LEGO which @Suspsy was mentioning. He's going to consider his LEGO Flash minifig Wally West because he LIKES Wally West. I will consider my LEGO Flash minifig Barry Allen because I LIKE Barry Allen. We don't need to accuse people for not knowing their comics or tear them down for liking Marvel more than DC. Let's all be considerate and respectful human beings even though we do disagree with some things. There is one thing we can say we have in common though. We all like LEGO!
  19. Barry Allen replaces Wally West in Rebirth. Although West is still considered a Flash, Allen is THE Flash of the JLA in Blackest Night which takes place right after Rebirth. So yeah, he does replace Wally West. I guess I could advice you to follow your own instructions but that would be kind of douchey, huh?
  20. Yeah, it appears that we're getting New 52 outfits for DC sets and classic outfits for Marvel with John Byrne's Wolverine and the classic Storm and Magneto. Good point. That's for sure the old school Steve Ditko Doc Ock.
  21. I agree. I think another reason is because of her reboot for the New 52 series. I think we're going to see a lot of New 52 minifigs in the future. We've seen New 52 Nightwing and Martian Manhunter, and you could say that the Aquaman minifig was based off of the New 52 design because of the long swoopy hair piece. The new costume for the LEGO Green Lantern LED flashlight also looks like the New 52 Green Lantern's. Perhaps we'll see a New 52 Cyborg in the future (fingers crossed). I would like to see a New 52 Wonder Woman and Batman too. Superman's Man of Steel costume looks fine to me. I don't see why people consider the Flash minifig to be based off of the New 52 Flash though. The New 52 Flash has lightning all over his costume. Maybe somebody can help me understand this...
  22. Just use Wikipedia. That's what @Mister Blisterfists probably did. Barbara Gordon/Batgirl has played a more significant role as Batgirl than any other character including Betty Kane and Stephanie Brown. Yes, she was the Oracle but she was Batgirl in the 1960s Batman series, Batman: The Animated Series, The New Adventures of Batman, and played a more significant role as Batgirl in Young Justice than Stephanie did as well. She's also played a more significant role as Batgirl than any other character in the comics. Know your stuff before you blab it out. I better shut up about this useless information though. Just saw all of the Marvel sets at my local target last night. I decided to just pick up the Tumbler poly for now. It's amazing how a small bag of LEGO can make a crummy day so much better.
  23. Looks like the Nova Corps Starblaster, so we'll for sure be seeing a Nova Corps officer. I wonder if it's Rhomann Dey.
  24. Wow, your favorite?? Props to you man, because I'm a huge Tim Burton fan and would say that Keaton's my Batman (Kevin Conroy is a very close second). I couldn't say that Batman Returns is my favorite Batman movie though. I'd have to go with The Dark Knight. You can't beat the the Batman/Joker chemistry. It's the closest we've ever come to Alan Moore and Frank Miller's Batman on the big screen. It was the first time that I realized that the Batman's greatest foe was the Joker, not because the Joker killed Jason Todd or crippled Barbara Gordon but because the Joker is complete chaos. Batman is the greatest detective ever but not even he can figure out who or what the Joker is all about because the Joker's unpredictable. He does the exact opposite of what you'd imagine. "Some men just want to watch the world burn." - Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine) I also have to mention that Burton's Penguin and Catwoman are very inaccurate compared to the comics. While I like Burton's portrayal of Penguin, Burton's origin story of Catwoman gives me quite a laugh. Gotta love when Selina Kyle goes into her apartment after falling out of a 30-story building and goes berserk. How do you show the world that your pissed off? Throw your stuffed animals into the sink's garbage disposal. I love Pee-wee Herman's cameo as Penguin's dad too. I do hope LEGO continues to look into the past to bring us some more old Batman elements into their sets. I'll easily take an Adam West Batmobile or even better--a Tim Burton batmobile!
