  1. I wonder if they'll have the Vision/Scarlet Witch romance happen in Age of Ultron. I'm excited to see that the Vision will be included and I hope we see a minifig for him. I also hope LEGO doesn't disregard the Ant-Man and Dr. Strange movies just as they did with the Thor 2 movie because they're not very popular superheroes. At least, not yet...
  2. Couldn't agree with you more. Dwayne Johnson's a very unreliable source. If this rumor does become true though, I'm gonna be a little pissed because Ryan Reynolds was a great Hal Jordan. You can't blame the actor for a not so great script.
  3. Since a giant dude with a pink helmet would look way better on the big screen...
  4. The reason why Wolverine is once again included in another X-Men set is because he's one of the most popular superheroes. He's considered a class A superhero along with Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man. I'm very happy to see him in the awesome John Byrne costume and it definitely beats his first appearance costume with the whiskers. The Sentinel is ridiculous. I hope everybody's right when they say it's a preliminary but I have my doubts. The sentinels in DOFP seem rather small and LEGO could be modeling it after that design (and yes, I know LEGO doesn't have the licensing to Marvel Fox but that doesn't mean it still can't look similar). Also, with how inexpensive this set is, and everybody seems to think it's the Blackbird, I don't see the sentinel getting any bigger with the piece count.
  5. First of all, Chris Claremont's X-Men is by far the best. You can't beat the Dark Phoenix Saga or Days of Future Past. Second of all, Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men is definitely the second best take on the X-Men. I'm way excited to hear that LEGO is making some expensive sets for Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm anticipating this movie the most for 2014 because we have no idea what to expect. The Guardians of the Galaxy is by the far the the craziest idea and superhero team that Marvel could put on the big screen. Not to mention the bizarre midcredits scene with Benicio Del Toro as The Collector! I could see the minifig on top of the box being an Astonishing X-men Cyclops. I hope it's not a Sentinel. I want a big brick built one like the Ent from the Tower of Orthanc. http://img833.images...3/1619/673k.jpg
  6. @Numbuh1Nerd - I would love a Wolverine with cowl minifig! I'm still trying to understand why Magneto needs to be used when there are so many other X-Men villains like Mystique, Sabretooth, Mr Sinister (would be awesome), Mastermind, Blob, Toad, and many more. My dream set would be an X-Mansion with Professor X, Cyclops, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Wolverine with cowl, Angel, and Juggernaut as the bad guy. Maybe the X-Mansion could be exactly like the Haunted House that LEGO has made. It would open the same way and be the same size. Inside, we could have a danger room and cerebro. That would be amazing. One can only dream I guess...
  7. Too bad we won't get a Thanos minifig or big fig for a long time because he probably won't play a significant role until Avengers 3. Also, I think if we get a Blackbird, which I would love, I think it needs to be at least as big as the Quinn Jet we got for the Avengers theme. A cockpit for two would be much better, a red quartz windshield, and a platform for Storm to stand on that comes out of the ship so she can make some serious storms would suffice.
  8. Interesting. That's the exact same bats from the 2005 LEGO Batman series. I hope it's a different Batman in all honesty. He's way too similar to last year's black Batman.
  9. About time we see some pics. Looks like Nightwing is in the batcopter/manbat set with a jetpack sort of thing, Batman's got a crop duster in the Joker Steam Roller set, Spidey's using the copter that he's got in the videogame with powerman as pilot, and ultimate goblin's got a glider (that doesn't make sense). All the Spidey sets are from the television show. No movie sets.... (sigh) I hope that's Damian Wayne in the Steam Roller set :)
  10. Winter Soldier wears black...... I don't mind the NinjaGo bandana idea but I think LEGO will probably have his mask and goggles printed on one side of the head and have his face without the mask and goggles on the other side of the head, just like Anakin's in the Freeco Speeder set. They'll probably use the Aragorn hairpiece too because it's popular with long haired minifigs.
  11. @strangely I completely agree. There are a lot of similarities but a lot of differences compared to lotr.
  12. First of all, Thor is an Avenger that everyone knows about, especially kids. He's on the Avengers Assemble television series. Being a Marvel fan, of course almost every character has been an Avenger. Moon Knight was a Secret Avenger for heaven's sake. But my nephews don't know who he is. They love Thor though because he's a popular superhero. Of course LEGO is going to make sets that appeal for children because it's a toy. IMO LEGO rarely makes sets that appeal to the afol. This might not be new news to you but LEGO isn't meant to sit on shelves. It's meant to be played with. My nephews would love a Thor LEGO set. They haven't seen the movie and they haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises either but they have the Bat vs Tumbler set and still love to play with it.
  13. I think a Thor: The Dark World set would have just as much, if not more potential than an Ironman 3 set. The characters are way more interesting as is the story (if they use Walter Simonson's which has been rumored) than Ironman 3. I, unlike most Marvel fanboys really liked Ironman 3 but I don't think it was necessarily worthy enough for three sets. I know I haven't seen Thor 2 yet but the first movie has endless possibilities for excellent sets. A citadel for Asgard could've been done. They did Helm's Deep and a castle for Chima, why not Thor? They could've made a Thor vs. The Destroyer set or a Rainbow bridge set. Maybe a reason why Thor: The Dark World isn't getting attention from LEGO is because it's not necessarily a movie for children with the Game of Thrones director taking over. I wouldn't consider Man of Steel a kid friendly movie though but we got sets for that. Another reason is that it's possibly too similar to LOTR. One thing that you can't say however, is that Thor isn't a "strong enough name". He's an Avenger, you can't be bigger than that in the Marvel universe. He's definitely a bigger character than Deadpool and we got a Deadpool minifig. If you also find Thor an uninteresting superhero I would highly recommend checking out Walter Simonson's Thor or Thor: God of Thunder. You can't find a better series than Thor: God of Thunder right now.
  14. I was hoping for a more serious Batman this time around instead of the cartoony Adam West looking one. Maybe like this.
  15. Are we even sure that we're getting a 3rd wave? I've heard several people say on other forums that a 3rd wave isn't going to happen. How they know that though, I haven't got a clue.
  16. This has probably been the most depressing forum topic for a little while now. We haven't gotten any images of the new sets and the new sets are based off of the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. Why does Spidey even need a chopper? He's got webs to get around. Plus, we already have a Doc Oc. C'mon LEGO, you've probably got the license to make some ASM2 sets. Why not make them? Give us some CA: TWS and T: TDW sets too!
  17. If I could like comments on this forum, this would be one.
  18. I hope they make him as a minifig.
  19. I hope we get a Star-Lord with his awesome helmet instead of the one in this game when the sets come out. I don't like Steve McNiven's Star-Lord very much.
  20. I want that wolverine mask! Where's Moon Knight?? Moon Knight was announced.
  21. Can't wait for a D2C Marvel set as well.
  22. I agree with you. Batman is popular because he always has been and because of the movies and cartoons of course. Ironman has probably been the biggest Marvel hero in 2013 for kids because of the Iron Man movies, The Avengers, and the Avengers Assemble television show. We won't see sets that don't include Batman until DC's characters start getting big, which probably won't be until they have a Flash movie or a Wonder Woman movie but who knows if that will even happen. Warner Bros. needs to grow a pair and realize that people want the JLA even though Green Lantern wasn't the best. Call me crazy but I didn't mind Green Lantern like the rest of the world seemed to. Anyways, way excited for these new sets coming out. The prices don't look too bad either. I'm okay with the most expensive set being $59.99
  23. I think we need a better batcave for the D2C, if they went with a D2C DC set. I'd prefer an X-Mansion but I would love to see a batcave like Jim Lee's
  24. His hair could be different. I like it but I think everyone's correct when they say that it's not necessarily accurate. His eyes are extremely accurate though. They're supposed to be red.
