  1. It's too bad we've missed a bunch of variant minifigs like Pippin in Gondor armor, Mary in Rohan armor, and Sam and Frodo in Mordor armor.
  2. I agree. Any version is better than no version.
  3. If you guys look at the other projects that this guy has created, he has a Barad-Dur that looks amazing!
  4. I think this is an amazing representation of Lothlorien: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70260 I'd love to own this set with Galadriel and Celeborn minifigs!
  5. That's a very good point. Ezra's helmet is very reminiscent to McQuarrie's stormtroopers' helmets. I hope we'll get his design of Luke Skywalker as a minifig.
  6. Definitely not possible unless the Joker's semi or the subway train from Begins was included. I agree, 1000 pieces would be more than enough but like I said this is very unlikely to happen. We'll most likely get a set similar to the past UCS batmobile but a tumbler instead. I can dream though. ;)
  7. Not meaning to start something but you can find all of those violent acts in Star Wars minus the dogs and add the rancor, wampa, and several other ferocious creatures. I still bring up the argument that Mattel made Heath Ledger Joker action figures for kids. http://www.moviepostersetc.com/MoviePostersEtc/the-dark-knight-movie-masters-joker-action-figure-w-missile-launcher-ff8081813479660c0134ecc8593c485a-p.html?gclid=CMeNrpzEtL8CFasRMwodEEYAnw You don't have to show Joker's stitches on a minifig's head to make it look like HL's Joker. Let's just agree to disagree. Back on topic I think it'll be interesting to see how big this Tumbler is. We've been told it's a $200 set but I still really hope they make it minifig scale. I know that's very unlikely but the past tumblers didn't do the cinematic representation justice. The 24th can't come fast enough.
  8. You don't see the Joker put a pencil through someone's eyes in the DK. In fact, you don't see him cut up anybody. He obviously does kill several people but just like Bane it's never shown.
  9. I understand what you're saying and I agree with you when you say that the carved scars on his face make him look gruesome and not kid-friendly. What I'm saying is because it worked with action figures which are toys it could still work with a Lego minifig which is also a toy.
  10. I would love and hope we get more LOTR sets but for now my ent will be my Treebeard.
  11. I'm sorry but this is an old and useless argument. Lego made a Bane minifig which has been mentioned and he was far more violent and chaotic than Heath Ledger's Joker. He broke a significant number of necks in TDKR and was indeed "Gotham's reckoning." I don't think Ledger's appearance isn't necessarily less kid friendly than Bane's either. They made several "kid friendly" Heath Ledger Joker action figures to promote TDK. A Lego Heath Ledger Joker is always a possibility.
  12. Owning all of the batmobiles, I honestly think that 76012 is one of the best batmobiles we've gotten so far. 10179: UCS Millennium Falcon's cockpit is four-seated.
  13. Do you think we'll ever get some Ralph McQuarrie-style Lego sets? http://www.starwars.com/news/gentle-giant-sdcc-mcquarrie-style-luke-skywalker-first-look
  14. Haha love the nod to Dark Knights Returns with the mutant gang in the back.
  15. Did we get any leaked photos of the Riddler Chase #76102 before Comic Con last year?
  16. I have no idea what is in that photo.
  17. Sounds like nobody's for the Tumbler. I would love see a set with all of the iconic cinematic batmobiles together. Maybe the 66', 89', and the Tumbler. I couldn't care less for Schumacher's movies' batmobiles. I hope that we're all pleasantly surprised when it's revealed at Comic Con this year just like when we saw the Arkham Asylum D2C for the first time.
  18. I would go the opposite with that idea haha. I wouldn't want my kids near a HL Joker minifig that only comes in a $200 set.
  19. @Cammo - No, that's just a fake. Lego has only released one UCS Batmobile so far (#7784) which is very reminiscent to the first batmobile created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane with the shield on the front. I'm excited to hear that we're getting DoJ sets and it make senses that Lego would already have sets designed because of the change in release. I'm crossing my fingers for the HL Joker and I hope if these rumors are true and include two minifigs, that the Tumbler will be minifig scale. These are just skeptical rumors though. Are we sure that it's not the batwing from the Lego Movie?
  20. @Steph 104th - I would love to see a Dawn of Justice batcave! We desperately need a different batcave after the last one Lego gave us. I also desperately need an Alfred Pennyworth minifigure because I didn't get #7783. I wouldn't mind an Alfred minifig with Jeremy Irons' likeness.
  21. Thanks for the confirmation @namioik. For a price like that I can't wait to see what this bad boy is going to look like. I can only hope that it'll have the capabilities that the Tumbler has in the films. My ideal choice would be to have the Tumbler minifig size with a detachable Batpod and a Dark Knight Batman that's actually black included. And in order to sell a set at such a high price it'd have to include a semi truck with Heath Ledger's Joker. I know that's very wishful thinking but hey, I can dream can't I.
  22. I don't think Lego even knows who THE Shredder is going to be in the movie and my guess is the whole Fichtner being the Shredder is just there to throw fans off. Just a guess though. Guess we won't know till it comes out.
  23. @The Joker1 is right. This happened to Lego Marvel Superheroes as well. But just because we get a character in story mode or not, doesn't mean they're going to be in a future set. Mr. Fantastic has a prominent role in Lego Marvel Superheroes but we have yet to get a set with him. Green Arrow's also a member of the JLA.
  24. You're right. While 20th Century Fox owns rights to the footage of the Batman '66 series, DC owns the rights to the likeness and trademark of the '66 Batman. Lego could easily make the '66 Batmobile and get away with it because DC owns its likeness. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/07/14/what-do-have-planned-for-the-66-batman-show-at-comic-con/
  25. I was too young for the 80s series but I watched the 2011 series reboot because one of my friends who is a video game designer recommended it to me and it was fantastic! It's too bad it only had one season...
