Meet Infector. Stare at him the wrong way, and you'll suffer from a severe case of death. Don't worry, he'll feel bad about it later! ^ No, that's not a tentacle. That's a whip. That just happens to act like a tentacle. Stare at it funny, and he'll take your breath away! Don't worry, (sorry for the blurry pic)^ This is his back. Stare at it funny, and nothing will happen. What, it's not like you have eyes in the back of your head! ^ Interior build. ^ The back of the interior. (sorry for semi-blurry photo) ^ Shot of the full interior-interior ( ) build. Backstory: Blah blah blah, Medic. Bugs. Experimental hybrid medicine gone wrong. Voila! Insane villain with an obsession with poisons. Easily my best entry so far. Torso is entirely custom, I was trying a Titan-style leg and I realized it worked better as a torso. So anyone, I would really appreciate any comments or criticism and/or recommendations. If you want extra photos, let me know ASAP. I'm going to be taking him apart soon.

After seeing BZP's second unboxing video, I'm a lot more excited for LOSS now. It would be even cooler if the designers managed to allow LOSS' four back legs to move independently along that axle, very unlikely but if they implemented it (almost certain they didn't, it would be incredibly hard) it would one of the best sets of the wave function-wise.

Y'know, I think that getting LEGO sets for free (and early) is way cooler than getting a gold mask edit: BTW, can you post step-by-step photos of the more-interesting bits of the Protector builds? And a video demonstration of the new blaster?

Did VBBN just say he had the Protectors and LOSS, or are they on the way?

Last time I checked Scorpions didn't use their claws as legs. Anyway, am I the only one more excited for the Protectors than the Toa? The Toa are all unique in their personalities, something completely absent from Hero Factory, but I really think the Protectors are far more interesting.

Oh, sorry, thought they had six legs. And I said legs, not appendages. And thanks for the information about the brown Recluse. Regardless, LOSS was never said to be an arachnid, or a spider. You can argue all you want about the actual Skull Spiders, I'm not going to stop you.

I left them out because 1) I didn't even know they were 2) Does it even matter? I gave an example, arachnids aren't exclusive to being eight legged creatures. Also, yes, LOSS actually does have traits of an arachnid. It has six legs (Scorpions) a bulbous abdomen (Spiders) has a number of eyes corresponding to the number of legs (Spiders again, but you can debate this if you want) and if you asked anyone what LOSS resembles everyone would say a spider. Oh, and the Morbuzakh was a sentient plant with a tendency to spread, and looked like a Venus Flytrap with tentacles and bad breath- oh wait, wrong universe. The Morbazakh had a split mouth with giant teeth, it even had vines covered in thorns. That's not anything like a plant, last time I checked.

LOSS hasn't really been stated to be a spider... only as the "Lord of Skull Spiders". I'd be more worried about his four-legged friends that just want to give everyone a nice, warm hug! Also, you'd better look up the definition of an arachnid. All spiders are arachnids, but Scorpions, etc are also arachnids. LOSS *is* an arachnid, just not a spider anatomically speaking. He's going to be considered a spider by the plot and by definition anyway, though.

Cryptor has a grenade launcher in his chest. Every Nindroid has a laser in their eyeball. The ninja in space were completely unarmed, save for their elemental powers. And once the got their hands on the rifles? Armed ninja. In space. Also, it's a very violent death regardless of whatever way you slice the cheese. It's still a death, and it goes against so much of the mood of NINJAGO. We saw Samukai poof, we saw the Overlord go KABLAM, we saw Julein drop his glasses mid-death and we saw a snake jump out of a pit of lava with his bum on fire. It's not so much the fact that two Nindroids lost their heads, we've seen skeletons do this all the time. It was the manner of death. Maybe it's just more brutal in retrospect, but two Nindroids suddenly going THWACK on top of a car, losing their heads before dying near-immediately is far less brutal than just having them fall off the truck and get stuck there. What need would there be for them to be on board? Borg had other business to attend to, as with Pythor during Codename: Arcturus. Even if you consider that to be just because the rocket took off before they got on board, the Nindroids managed to get the Golden Pigsty and return with it without the aid of Pythor or Borg. There's no reason for them to come, or even for there to be an airlock on board.

All we've seen is some very light backstory work. And that one video contained more plot development than Hero Factory ever got. Don't judge the plot just yet, we've barely seen the direction they're taking with the new line.

I never ruled out a new character featuring elemental powers, only a new element. Skylar may very well have elemental powers, but if it's a brand spanking new *ELEMENT* rather than power, it's going to come as even more of a slap in the face than the massive retcons they did all throughout Season 3. And all the really lame attempts to cover up silly mistakes. I like to pretend The Void (and part of Codename: Arcturus) never happened, easily one of the biggest offenses to the entire style of NINJAGO. The laser assault rifles in semi-realistic ballistic weaponry style, the fact that space suits were on a ship designed for Nindroids, etc... as for Arcturus, the military-style convoys, the Nindroid head decapitation and whatnot really let me down on those. Even if they were just Nindroids, it's still a very brutal kind of death. Vitruvius' death in TLM came as a huge shock, but they turned it into a big joke in the end. Whereas actual characters, even Nindroids, getting destroyed in a brutal way is very out of style for NINJAGO. We saw a snake jump out of a pit of lava with his bum on fire, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Those episodes portrayed battle without death of any kind, but not in a cheesy way like Chima's were. And I don't think I even need to explain why laser assault rifles are out of place. Cryptor has a grenade launcher in his chest and all Nindroids have a laser built into their eye, etc and regardless of this it was still a massive change to suddenly see actual guns in the plot. Things like this actually have tempted me to abandon NINJAGO and it's starting to spread. LEGO, to me, is starting to become like Hasbro or dare I say it, Mega Bloks. Mega Bloks ha a habit of releasing sets for franchises many would deem "innapropriate" for kids. PotC and LoTR are a bit different to this, and mostly acceptable, but now we're getting sets for The Big Bang Theory and it's making me worried LEGO's starting to skimp on making things friendly for everyone. If stuff like this keeps happening I'm going to be jumping ship, no doubt. Sorry for the massively off topic post.

Oh darn... somewhat (SOMEWHAT) similar to my next entry...

The main problem I have with CCBS is that ever since 2012 all we've gotten is aesthetic parts. Oh, and the Brain Attack head, but we're not going to see that again any time soon. I would daresay CCBS has grown at all since then, the only real growth we've seen is the growth of Technic usage.

No, the Protector is holding his drill, actually. And it's been known since Comic Con that Skull Spiders can attach to the new heads.

Introducing a new element throws off pretty much well everything that's happened prior. The First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago with the four Elemental Weapons, and while there was technically a 'fifth' in the form of an Elemental Blade it had a connection to Lloyd's power, and Lloyd doesn't have control over 5 elements, only 1 (previous 2) alternate power. It also begs the question as to why a fifth element has never been brought up in the plot, with the Overlord it was understandable but after all they've gone through, everything they've done, why would it take so long to mention it? Unless of course, it's introduced as some weird new diet pill thing Cyrus accidentally invented. But it's pretty clear that if Skylar does have any form of powers, they'll be either existing ones or something Cyrus whipped up (in the case of which, it's not a new 'element'. New power, yes. New element, no.)

For me the Protectors are far more interesting than the Toa. The blasters are a huge plus, all of them have a really unique design in some way and they all make great parts packages from what we've seen. Most retain qualities of their predecessors, the Turaga (eg, Earth Protector and Whenua both feature drills) and IMO they provide far more variety than their Toa counterparts.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Mandate replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
The Techno Blades were never destroyed. They were clearly visible at the end of Enter the Digiverse at the back of the ninja's chairs. The light is coming from behind the Temple of Light, not from it. Lloyd's power probably regenerates, given that his power gets transferred to whatever he uses it on, and Lloyd's power was never fully drained. I wouldn't really call that the Overlord in the real world, I'd really call it stupid placement. I would say that Cole's Blade is just deactivated, like Jay's. Oh, and all four blades are in the Temple, that photo is based on the real-life version and the screwy CGI LEGO uses makes one of them look invisible. Oh, and if you want an awesome looking cover, buy the Aus/other-regions (not sure where this is available other than Aus):- 4,591 replies

Doubtful. There are no more Golden Weapons, therefore no NRG. Not even the Elemental Blades, which were said to be purer (and more stable?) than the Golden Weapons, and they couldn't access NRG powers. Also, what are you talking about? Lloyd was the Chosen One, the one prophesied to defeat (Over)Lord Garmadon and free the land from darkness. She/he will likely have no elemental powers, because there are only four Elements. The "fifth element" (green power) is a culmination of all five. If they introduced a new element it's going to rub off in the canon, like the MegaWeapon or the Tornado of Creation. Anyway, if she does have elemental powers, and is what they referred to at Comic Con (was that where we got the confirmation regarding new characters with elemental powers?) it will probably be fire. It's too late to introduce a brand new element, even if they keep beating the dead horse that is Wrong Place, Wrong Time.

Oh my gosh... I just watched one of the Mixelsodes... If the new BIONICLE is anything like this (and I have some reason to believe it WON'T, thankfully) I will have lost hope in any new lines for the next few years. *although the Mixelsodes do fit the entire idea behind Mixels*

No creases or wrinkles? They all have some, just only around the torso. It suggests a tight fabric - perfect for riding a dragon up in the air - and the reason there aren't any notable folds is because it would detract from the fancy look of them. On the back however I have to agree with you, there was no real "texture" at all.
-
Oh I don't know... me ( ) someone you know? eg, lifelong friend? Family member? Nephew/niece? Maybe donate the prizes to charity? Whole bunch of options.

While I agree with you on pretty much well all points, when you've got a set as tall as Lewa using them on the legs is a bit annoying, and it's obvious as to why the piston plating had to be used there. As a general rule most shells on longer legs don't detract from a lanky appearance, although there are exceptions.

We know a fair amount about his power source's history for the duration of which it's been a plot point, and Zane has been "inside his robot body" the entire time. He isn't a spirit, either. The Overlord's ashes at Borg Tower was what corrupted the NNC mainframe and caused him to come back to life. Zane started his life in Dr Julien's treehouse ( ), and has only been living since then. This is established canon, and multiple quotes from Dr Julien indicate Julien invented Zane. There's no evidence or anything to support the idea that Zane is a spirit or that he was once human. Anyway, we need to move this conversation to the topic in Culture and Multimedia. It's getting really off-topic now.
