  1. Despite getting insane amounts of minifigures this year, I'd also like to point out this year has still been one of the lower years for new (NINJAGO-"exclusive/unlikely-to-be-seen-in-another-theme")parts, at around 7 new pieces. And in true NINJAGO fashion, almost all of them go to the villains. That's only one more than the 2013 sets, and two more than Rebooted got.
  2. >Says "your wishes have been granted" >Not Half-Life 3 Prophecy of the Heroes
  3. Drat, can't find it on the Australia website. eBay it is, then. It's an interesting enough concept, having Lloyd DX.
  4. Assuming you're talking about the CGI-ish one, it was in the NYCC slides.
  5. Yeah, there is. I feel sorry for PeppermintM, every time we start a new page on this thread it gets derailed into a discussion about the TV show I'm probably gonna go do something else for a while to "restrain" myself from helping derail it any more.
  6. Good point. I try not to bother with last names in the TV show anyway. They pretty much well never get brought up anyway (well, except that one time in Episode 29) Actually, in the video the scripts they're holding at one point say "Episode 25: The Overlord Cometh" so I'd say it was around that time, anyway.
  7. Sorry, should I have added "/sarcasm" to that? Also, did you know that The Avengers originally would have been terrible had Joss Whedon not thrown away the original script? The plot is approved by the director, not by the writer. And the producer has even more control than that. Which essentially means, my sarcastic comment had more basis in fact than your assumptions on how a movie is made. For the record, your source there actually claims: ...yeah. This says nothing about Lord and Miller being picked up after that decision. If anything it can be seen both ways. Or in other words, your entire response to a sarcastic comment about said comment being factually incorrect and baseless was actually factually incorrect and more baseless than my sarcastic comment. But they all attempted to at least somewhat follow the original storyline. The MCU works for Marvel because their universe always was connected in the base material. This is not the case with NINJAGO whatsoever, which has always existed inside its own world (+Clutch Powers). And we've already had a taste of what the TLM world thinks of NINJAGO. LEGO has never done anything like this before, however. Also, while I understand what you're saying, "I don't think it would be a huge loss." could be seen as an insult.
  8. Because LEGO wants their own cinematic universe. I feel they're jumping the gun on this, the success of the NINJAGO TV show and the success of the LEGO Movie has led them to start production of three block buster movies (Batman, NINJAGO and TLM 2) as well as a reality TV show. No, seriously, I'm not kidding about the last one.
  9. This isn't the last year for NINJAGO. It *could* possibly be the last year for the NINJAGO we've currently got, because Phil Lord and Chris Miller want to throw away 5 years of plot just to glorify their success with TLM even more But I doubt it. The NINJAGO movie being a part of the TLM universe really worries me, because I doubt LEGO will have two versions of NINJAGO running alongside each other, and the NINJAGO movie is probably on a big enough budget that they wouldn't dare not make sets for it. TL;DR, possibly.
  10. It may still be Jungle, but I doubt it's going to stick exclusively to that. The terrain will definitely be more diverse than what we've seen on the box art, I mean, compare the box art to the actual environments in every year of NINJAGO and they're all vastly different except Rebooted, and even THEN. I will give LEGO one thing though, they're always very pretty and lovely to look at.
  11. Considering we've seen a Samurai turn into metal, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cultists can turn into snakes. However... And These are descriptions of the first two episodes found on Cartoon Network's Asian website. However, a new island really does give me a lot of hope for the next season, even if it might be the Dark Island. It gives a chance for them to build up some lore around a singular location, and not need to worry about repercussions when developing future plots.
  12. And the Anacondrai's weapons are called... Anacondrai Blades. Jade Blades is a pretty interesting name, though. And... it's Skylor! Dang. Skylar sounded cooler. So all of the sleeveless outfits are Tournament outfits (which explains why Zane doesn't get one, Skylor however...) A rough outline of the plot is starting to come together. Just a shame it's probably going to be the Dark Island rather than Hiroshi's Labyrinth.
  13. Eh, I wouldn't be too sure of that. There's been no real clarification on this, and if it's the "actor names" why not just use the actual actor's names? Or why not make up completely new names for each "actor"? The only guy whose name was actually changed was Garmadon's. Also, the whole "Jay Walker" thing rings a bell too. That name came into the show far before this was released (even in other countries), and was probably written during Season 2 around the time Episode 25 was in development. EDIT: Better version of that teaser! https://www.youtube....h?v=S7Eqy02UmCo EDIT 2: On an unrelated note, I forgot how much I loved the original intro. I want it back :(
  14. This video basically screws around with the lore a fair bit, but with a bit of ingenuity and headcanon you can get past it.
  15. I wouldn't say BIONICLE deserves a TV show at this point. Generation 1, maybe, but I don't think it would have fit in with it. Generation 2 however... we have yet to see the full capabilities of the current writers. It's too early to tell just yet, BIONICLE 2.0's plot could be horrible for all anyone knows. Wait until we find out about the story, I have a feeling that the minisodes will be rather shallow in world building.
  16. If he was talking about the movies, I can definitely agree with him. All of them looked pretty bad.
  17. Oi, don't diss the CGI. Ghost did an incredible job with the BIONICLE animations over the years, it was hardly "crappy" in any way. While this trailer is most certainly great, it's not any indication of the actual quality of the shorts. The one short we have seen, The Legend of Ekimu and Makuta, while good was subpar compared to some of BIONICLE's animations except in the whole "story" part.
  18. Kai's last name is indeed Smith, but Cole's last name is Bucket. Word of advice: When it comes to TV show "secrets", don't trust Wikipedia.
  19. I dunno. It's too early to tell at this point.
  20. I more get the feeling the hybrid dino is going to be Raptor + T-Rex. I hope it's the case too, they're the two most formidable creatures in JP (no, I'm not including Spino because he's probably never going to be seen again) and the only thing I could actually take seriously as an "EVACUATE THE ISLAND!" threat when there's only one dinosaur on the loose...
  21. Any chance we could find the episodes early, too?
  22. If that's the case, then why didn't we get the Samurai in a metal form too? Anyway, I wouldn't count on getting a white Titanium Ninja next year. Also, I think that Episode 34 is going to be a "spoiler free" thing about a week after the DVD is released in America.
  23. Ah ah ah, assumptions! Not all of the ZX suits were, it was their spare suits that allowed Garmadon to make the Bizarro Ninja, and there were more copies in Mother Doomsday's comic book shop. That leaves at least two sets of each prior to the Temple of Light, excluding Lloyd (who probably only had one suit anyway). I sure hope that "competition" thing is correct. It would explain a lot. However... an island? Like, a new island? Darn. There goes Hiroshi's Labyrinth, it must have gotten stuck inside Hageman's Labyrinth. However, the island thing explains the steamboat trip, but I'm going to question the Samurai bit for now. I'm wondering how Pythor is going to get involved with this, and how the Cultists fit in.
  24. I'm going to bet it has something to do with the Temple of Time, shots of them arriving were featured with it.
  25. Good grief... that IS Skylar. That makes even LESS sense now. But anyway, thanks Cagast. That gives me a bit of hope about the new season. But I guess this is just CN doing crazy stuff again, this is just a fight scene. One with no real sense of flow to it, or explanation either. Kai is fighting a Samurai, and the Samurai has the ability to turn into... metal. The coreography is good but the flow is terrible, and it makes Kai seem like an even bigger idiot than he seemed in Codename: Arcturus. Buuuut that's just my opinion.
