  1. Or maybe it will just turn out that underneath Okoto is a city and they will eventually reveal that Okoto was on top of the face of a giant robot containing all the separate BIONICLE universes inside of itself (it in itself being in a universe coupled with a collection of universes inside an even bigger robot, and so on). Or it will just turn out that the entire planet was just a transforming robot and no one had any clue about it until the plot calls for it *COUGH COUGH* Transformers *COUGH COUGH*.
  2. Alright, TTV's uploaded their own Podcast to address the controversy over the Vahi: It's mainly just derping around while talking about different controversies, so if you're expecting a corporation-like "statement" you'll be dissappointed. There are *SOME* factual inaccuracies, the Temple of Time wasn't the only slide missing, there was one (technically two, but no one cares about the "questions?" slide) other that had some concept of a Protector in a cloak and the volcano where the Fire Mask is located. And the reaction from the guy at Comic Con wasn't a "why is the Temple of Time stuff in here?" more of a, "This is the Temple of Time, and here's the next slide". But anyway, it's kind of weird that they would even bring up a "Temple of Time" at Comic Con, or even to see it named, when it's really more of a "Oooh, this is a high-importance area!" than a hype builder. I'm really curious as to where they're going with all this, and as to why time would even be an important element so early in the story that at the very least we know the Vahi is making an appearance somehow, be it the Vahi from Gen 1 or a new Vahi.
  3. I don't really have problems with "zealots" of the old line, from what you've said you seem nothing like what most people dislike. Anyway, yeah, I can agree with you on that. The lack of an insanity of specialized parts is very nice for customizing.
  4. And you've clearly got some misunderstandings of your own that need to be cleaned up. If the LEGO employee was just stating that there are similar elements, either he's a sarcastic troll or an idiot. Why? Look at the sets. Gee, I wonder where I've seen characters like Gali, Pohatu, Tahu, Kopaka, Makuta, Lewa and Onua before? I wonder where I've seen the concept of an island governed by distinct elemental "areas" before? I wonder where I've seen the main protagonist cast into a deep sleep before? As I said before, if your opinion is correct, then either the LEGO employee was a sarcastic troll stating the obvious to screw around with the fanbase, or he was just stating the completely obvious without realizing how much that doesn't relate to the question asked of him. Or perhaps there's a third option, where he was actually giving an answer to a question? Furthermore, when was it ever stated in the old canon the Vahi was half a mask? Read through your own version of what you said. What purpose does this serve? Where did the Rep get this idea from? Was he talking about aesthetics? If so, why talk about aesthetic design in a question about the story? Clarify your point, and make sure it doesn't conflict with your main argument. Because everything you have said conflicts with itself when you examine the basic groundwork. Is it possible the guy just made a mistake? Yeah. Likely? No. This is a guy who's worked closely with the new BIONICLE, who should know what he's talking about. And before you accuse me of being a TTV fanboy, I don't really care about the Vahi at all. It's too early to tell, the comment made by the Rep was unclear, so before we all get our knickers in a knot and split the fanbase up further than it's already going to be once the new story is established, can we all just say that in regard to the new story; "we don't know"? Because at this point in time, we really have no idea of what is going to happen with the Reboot. Anyone claiming otherwise that doesn't have some direct link to LEGO is either lying or has a real-life time-travel version of the Vahi. (or they're Vezon) edit: re-read over my own points again, and there is the possibility he brought up the Vahi to say it's part of the new universe, just different this time around. However, it still doesn't add up to why he would say anything like this in regard to a question about if the universes are linked. Why not just give a straight-up "No, they aren't"? One can argue he brought it up as a comparison/reference, but it's still weird. Especially seeing as no one who was actually at Comic Con when the question was asked can recall whether he actually gave a straight answer (at least from what I've seen, anyway)
  5. Could you actually specify where and what you're talking about? After that last part through about visible gears it's become plain you're just a troll, or you're nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking and have completely missed the point of what I've said. So I'm not even going to bother giving you a proper response when I can't even tell what you're trying to accomplish.
  6. They were planning to show Mata Nui in '01 before they realized BIONICLE was a success. Then they pushed it so far back that they had two sets of 3-year plot arcs of Mata Nui dying and needing to be revived, before changing it into a three year plot where the Mask of Life is a bigger jerk AND villain than Makuta himself. (and if I recall correctly, wasn't Makuta shown in '01 in MNOG?)
  7. Oh look. LEGO hired hipsters to act as ninja now. NINJAGO is rapidly losing my attention, and BIONICLE is suffocating from boredom and my depression. Anyway, Penkid, there's no evidence at all to suggest the missing set even exists. NINJAGO has never gotten a D2C (and I doubt it will now), and even Destructoid had its name leaked. And furthermore, no photos have been leaked - at all. What happened to that Power Miners set? It was planned, yet cancelled for a reason that wasn't poor sales like Chima's "external" lines. It can happen here, and we're never going to know about it unless a LEGO dev clarifies. There is no 50/50 chance, only an illusion of one. Edit: Also, lack of evidence to support the set will be launched is evidence that it won't be launched. In the legal system, if there is no evidence to suggest that X event happened, then it probably didn't. And if it actually did, there is not enough evidence to convict the accused.
  8. "They're not going to flip the design for HERO Factory, in just one year, so why do you expect them to?" inb4 ccbs I'm finding it very odd how much they're trying to... transition... this coming year. Specialized parts, land ho! That's not to say that the new parts are overly specialized, but it's very strange that after seeing so many parts for the most blatantly generic styles suddenly get highly detailed parts, even if they have horrid implementation (Looking at you, Lewa. That secondary function could have looked so much better by just flipping around. Fortunately, LEGO isn't Hasbro or Mattel, so it's not a giant issue). It's even weirder how everyone was whining about Technic implementation when we were actually getting it (as I have so learned now) and then praising LEGO for their glorious work slapping... it... on... their... backs... *sigh* But really though, if we see something like an improved version of the Metru torso with actual posability on the shoulders and keeping the visible gears, I would be ecstatic. Visible gears looked so amazing.
  9. Very few chances. Very, very few.
  10. I'm going to buy two Gali's and paint one pink then bedazzle it. That'll look cool :P Anyway, I hope we don't get any more minifig sets. I'm not talking about IFB, I'm talking about minifig-scale versions of Constraction sets being sold alongside regular sets. I don't own any of them, but a lot of them just don't look that appealing (Piraka Stronghold looks like something Megabloks would make IMO)
  11. Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh and think of Hulk when I saw it. Admittedly, Mutoid himself isn't my best build. Far from it. However, I've got a special surprise in the form of my first ever custom Titan build that I've been working on since like 3 pm today (currently 10 pm lol)
  12. I just want new bones that are unique and more shells. That's really it.
  13. Onua review is up! Next up is LOSS and the Protectors! Jk, it's just Gali.
  14. Standard pose: Mutoid with his weapons on his back Mutoid's bike: Assembly: Back View: Mutoid on his bike: My second entry, Mutoid! I couldn't come up with a good name for him, so I looked above me, saw the case to XCOM and merged the names Sectoid and Muton and thus Mutoid was born. C+C appreciated, don't bother bringing up the bare torso or lack of handlebars. The former was due to lack of suitable parts, the latter was because I couldn't find two of the right part.

  16. I'm fairly certain that the Masks of Power are just the Toa's gold masks, but if the Protectors really are the Turaga then I guess it's possible.
  17. I'm getting really worried with LEGO's focus on multimedia now... it's getting ridiculous. We have a Batman movie, a NINJAGO movie, the LEGO movie... even a REALITY TV SHOW.
  18. "reused the ones Toxic Reapa introduced" Technically they reused the ones Surge and Toxic Reapa introduced, and if you want to get picky the Fangpyre Mech too, although it was released 9-5 days later than the other two according to Brickset.
  19. Did you even read your own post? You complained about Toxic Reapa bones never being used again, and grouped them with the rest of the things you were whining over. I was saying that his lime-green lower limbs were used often in 2012 (although have not been seen since), which you seemed unaware of.
  20. You do know that one set of Reapa's bones was heavily used in 2012, right?
  21. Oh whoops, forgot about them. Well, we haven't seen it used for HANDS at least
  22. I just noticed we haven't seen any of the paw pieces in use next year. Let's hope that's a trend
  23. Look, if I win, I'm selling it. I'll display it for a while, but I'd rather have the ability to purchase every LEGO set I want for the next few years than keep a piece I'm never going to use. Is it an awesome thing to have? Absolutely, I would love to display it. But I'd rather be able to purchase LEGO and still be known as the winner of that comp. forever
  24. I wasn't referring to vomit. Let me put it this way, when you don't eat your vegetables or drink your water the human body can make waste products all kinds of wonderful colors
  25. Is removing printing off a piece considered modifying the part if said part is available in a non-printed form?
