Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

Eh, I've found "complete collections" of individual seasons, but yeah, a "complete edition" probably is never coming.- 4,591 replies

Not everyone shares your opinion, Lyichir. If you're an "overall" fan of LEGO (like all the Chir brothers/father), there is no problem. The problem is, is that it's essentially saying "We're making a NINJAGO movie!" when you're really making The LEGO Movie 1.5 Part 1. Part 2 being the Batman movie. I hesitate to call anything like this a "betrayal", but this really hits home for me. I will still watch the movie, but it's just lost any and all real appeal for me. It's not that it won't depict canon events, or that it will stray from the characters. It's that it strays from NINJAGO itself, that's why people don't like it. It's just The LEGO Movie with a different name and setting now. Possibly minus the "setting" bit. Anyway, PeppermintM is right, we should move this to the Culture forum.

Hordika necks are at a slant, what he means is that they could be used to "level" the shoulders and give the arms a wider range of posability. Anyway, VBBN, in your next reviews could you take pictures of the Instruction manual/box (if you still have those) comics?

I haven't listened to the interview yet, so I only know this from BZPower's news line. I'm not going to flame the movie if it is INDEED part of the TLM world. But there is no chance whatsoever that the TV universe and the TLM universe are one and the same. It's impossible. Two entirely different artstyles, animation styles, plots and relevancy. Dimension-hopping is a no to me as well. A straight up reboot? This isn't Transformers. If the Legoland mini-movie is anything like this, I'm going to lose any and all faith in future LEGO movies. If this is true, to be blunt it feels like LEGO is trying to wipe anything and everything they can against the backside of TLM's success. What a load of bad news in one day. First my cat survives death (that's the good news), but has just been loaded with a week's worth of anesthetics. Then I find out the NINJAGO movie might be doomed from the start, I get a bunch of crappy stuff in CS:GO despite working incredibly hard to get it, and then finally my cat runs off. In the middle of a massive thunderstorm. Loaded with anesthetics. Before one of my final exams.

And NINJAGO news: The LEGO Movie and NINJAGO movie share the same universe (RIP NINJAGO movie)

No, that got me too Cagast. It actually is "Joel" (according to subtitles, anyway). Well, really it's Robo-Usher 3000. Joel might be making an appearance next year in the Ninja HQ set, but personally I think it's too tall to be him. Could have been rebuilt though... *COUGH*

You want the weapons to "make sense"? Hmm, sorry, I'm too busy looking over machine gun chests, facehugging spiders and "Ultimate Power" cliches.

In which case... well, it's not very effective.

Exactly my point. You either have giant paws *cough* or no articulation at all.

It's not quite so simple. First, we won't have four fingers and a thumb with what you're proposing, we'll have three fingers and a thumb. Secondly... weapons. As much as it would make staffs not as much of a pain to deal with, you would have to have some kind of way for the hand to tightly and securely grip a weapon. As a general rule System Mechs use a similar style of hand, and it's painful to work with. And even if you include an axle hole and use bars on the side (as some have suggested) it ends up at the same point as non-poseable hands. There's no actual need for articulated hands, or articulated waists. They would both be a lovely thing to have, but there's too many complications and too few real advantages.

I agree with you on all points. The only thing I don't like about Jang is Mega Bloks. Eugh, but it's his money so he can do whatever he wants with it. I aint gonna stop him

inb4 JangBricks hate Anyway, I've just noticed yet another odd thing (to do with the Vahi controversy, YAY ) with the slides. All of them display concept artwork relative to only itself. So, for instance, you're not going to see a picture of Okoto with Tahu concept work. The slide containing the Temple of Time (presumably "activated" too) also featured the arrival of the Toa, their landing, and... the massive volcano featured in another slide that also wasn't on the Facebook page? The volcano throws this off a little, but I would assume it and the other unseen slide may have something to do with Tahu's arrival. It's still interesting that not only was there a comment regarding the Vahi, a Star Trek comparison, a slide never seen again after NYCC displaying the Temple of Time and the Toa's arrival, and a Vahi shaped cloud. That last one probably has nothing to do with anything, still weird though. What are your thought on this, DeeVee? I know about what you said earlier about the nature of Paxton's comment, but I'd like to know what you think about this/debunk it for us. Also, little off-topic: My Vahi arrived today. Squashed in three places

Well would you look at that! My test builds of the Protector weapons were correct again! Anyway, he looks pretty good. Not dreadfully well-armed, but I already have some insane ideas for drawing that bow "life-like".

If it includes Jole, it'll be a love... pentagon? Nya, Jay, Cole, Jole, Skylar. And of course, Jole's heart will be broken and he'll run around screaming "DELETE! DELETE!"

Theorizing time! Makuta gets all the Masks of Power, hope seems dim, Toa defeat him anyway, Ekimu wakes up and his mother screams at him for sleeping in and they all live happily ever after before Ekimu crafts the Vahi and a magical enemy plot device appears.

Ha ha ha... I think I just figured out a major plot point for next year. Nya's favorite color was blue, which aided in her relationship with Jay. After every dispute between Jay and Cole over Nya this year, I realized something. We're getting a female orange ninja next year. Whose favorite color is orange? Cole's. Oh, and This is a mostly unfounded theory, but I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this.

Personally I'd like to get either Tahu, Lewa, Kopaka or Gali first, and maybe the PoE as well.

You know what I want to see? I don't want to see two lots of three Toa merge into a Kaita at any point in the new BIONICLE. I want to see all SIX (and maybe the Protectors too! But doubtful) merge into one gigantic Toa Kaita.

Cagast, right-click, select "save image as" and then reupload it to Majhost, Flickr or another image hosting website. If it's small enough (lower than 100kb) you could even upload it here.
-
Hope you saved that Cagast, the image is down now.

Far too early for it. Guys, remember we're getting evil Samurai next year. Nothing is out of the question. Personally, I want them to bring the Overlord back again. After episode 34, it's still technically possible for a return, ESPECIALLY after what happened at the end and how the Overlord's ashes from the Final Battle was what caused the hard drive corruption in the first place.
