  1. Drat, I was just about to post this.
  2. 08 Takanuva used them. Ironic, really: the most well-recieved Titan-scale set in LEGO history used some of the most hated pieces. But seriously though, people hate the Mata feet? Why?
  3. None taken. That entire "theory" was meant to be an unfunny joke.
  4. *Skull Mask of Grinding *Skull Mask of Bashing *Skull Mask of Battling *Skull Mask of Slicing *Golden Skull Mask of Controlling *Skull Mask of Astrology
  5. Pretty much well this. Ever since episode 7 the FSM has been portrayed with a plaited pony tail (don't know the actual name sorry). Ridiculous theorizing time! Morro is actually the FSM, who Garmadon banished after he was banned from using his phone!
  6. Few kids are able/willing to buy a full line of sets from a year. It's a rarity to see someone with all the sets of a single wave, let alone kids with an entire lineup + D2C, or even a single D2C set! This is my 7th year of purchasing LEGO sets over any other hobby and yet I don't have a single set that could qualify as a D2C. Collectors have been begging LEGO to make a D2C NINJAGO temple for years now, the demographic of the set is closer to a modular building than a playset like the Fire Temple or BFNNC. It's going to be big and expensive, and it's likely going to make it, or come close, to being on the top 30 largest sets list.
  7. The temple the D2C features will not be from Shadow of Ronin. Airjitzu gets literally no mention in the game whatsoever, and as far as I'm concerned Spinjago was burned down by rogue Hypnobrai when the game ended. Anyway, the "kids are the main target" argument doesn't apply here. The set will likely be more similar in size to the Haunted House set from Monster Fighters
  8. It's actually a pretty big difference, but the chains are different as well.
  9. FTFY First impressions mean everything. This line both has and had a great deal of potential, but most of it is unused at the moment. When I first saw the concept art, Okoto felt like this once magnificent place lost to time and decay, a land filled with mystery and opportunity, and the Toa's quest to restore it to its former beauty and peace. But so far, none of that has been even alluded to, and it likely never will be. And as I said before, first impressions mean everything. Okoto won't have nearly as much of that kind of atmosphere if and when the Ancient City is restored and the Toa begin to explore the island, if they even do. This is concept art, and as such none of it needs to have a place in the story, or even be represented in the story. Art styles and direction change, and as much as I prefer the "original style" I have doubts it will ever be used in the story. I'm more worried about what the "Toa Nuva" of Gen 2 are going to end up like than the story anyway. And no, it's not "all about the Ancient City right now.". That's what is to come, but the Winter story was mostly about the Golden Masks.
  10. Use spoiler tags. Not everyone that reads through this thread has seen the last few episodes, and LEGO has only uploaded episodes 35-40 on their Youtube channel at the moment. Sadly, I don't have a great deal of hope for this set now. I'm getting the feeling that it's going to be something like the "Temple on Haunted Hill" which was featured in Rush, and if so, a ghost temple is going to be an awesome set.
  11. Sigh... even more wasted story/universe potential
  12. Probably is. They have similar tunics to one another, unlike Gravis' "stone" style armor. Anyway, I'm disappointed that the D2C temple is the "Temple of Airjitzu". After last season, they're going to have a tough time giving me a convincing enough reason for why none of this was ever explained before.
  13. Yeah, I keep having this problem too. Not quite as severe, but there's been a loss of friction on many of my pieces. All of my black upper leg bones are nearly useless now
  14. Weren't you banned under the account name "Dinobrick" a few months back?
  15. Yeah, where else am I going to put the Summer wave?
  16. ...and there goes my entire opinion on Clouse. Sigh, why do I have to be the only one that disliked this season?
  17. Just bought the Electromech, Lava Falls and Jungle Trap. Suddenly all of my 2015 BIONICLE sets have vanished from my display shelf, whatever could this mean?
  18. Ugh, LEGO really should have made more molds for this theme. DINO got... at least 20 new molds, and presumably didn't sell as well as a line that could justify that (BIONICLE, City, NINJAGO, etc), yet the only new molds for this line I can think of off of the top of my head is the Dilophosaurus head, Indominous Rex and the Gyro Sphere. Most of the sets are really cool, but I'm going to be super annoyed if the movie version of the Dilo is smaller than what it is in the sets. Edit: At least 25 new molds for DINO. Approximately 12 for Jurassic World. 24 of DINO's 25 are for dinosaurs, one is for the tranq. gun that has been used in other lines. Jurassic World has 8 for the I. Rex alone, one for the Dilophosaurus, one for the raptor cams, and the remaining two on the Gyrospeheres, and one of those two pieces I'm not entirely sure were introduced for the Gyrospheres. That's pretty bad for a line geared towards a blockbuster movie franchise in comparison to an in-house line that had very little attention and didn't last very long.
  19. Oops. I forgot, LEGO doesn't like using trans. red anymore.
  20. Ekimu's "Golden Mask" is the MOCR itself, possibly to change if "Toa Ekimu" rumors are correct (please no LEGO). That just made me realize something... there's a chance we'll get a gold/trans purple blend and/or a black/trans red blend of Protector masks!
  21. It was meant to be a joke
  22. Wait, what? The last time I did a comparison between a Zukin figure and an '11 figure the Zukin one had a larger symbol. Weird.
  23. Are you implying we're all crazy for seeing the Vahi everywhere?
  24. They're very blurry, not simplified or stylized. The originals gave a sense of elegance to what was otherwise pretty ragtag-ish, and the new versions don't seem like stylized versions of the originals, in comparison to, say, a picture of a lion and the Lion tribe logo from Chima.
  25. The hate isn't for the LEGO fan communities, or for the idea of communication. It's hate for the ridiculous amount of hipsters, activists and general stupidity that happens in those places. I think it's great that there are lovely little communities of LEGO MOCists on Facebook or Tumblr, and I respect those people for what they do and would gladly accept them. But at the same time, I have a general distaste for Facebook after the crazy amounts of stupidity I've seen on it by the people that heralded it in the first place. You could attribute it to the "reverse-hipster" movement, but that's not entirely an accurate portrayal of why people hate it. It's like DeviantArt: you can find lots of great artwork there, but it's far more well known for the unspeakable horrors that coexist with them. Anyway, back on-topic, I hope that if we see Matoran-style builds for the villager class sets they'll just come with a spare recolored mask, and without anything fancy like the transparent blend on the Protectors' masks. The Protectors have really cool masks, but they severely limit MOCing potential with the transparent blend inside them.
