Uh... what? 2 streams of red? Where? The finalized concept art has no red streams, only molten liquid flowing from the forge. The original artwork only had one stream of red energy, and besides, considering Tahu and Gali are the only Toa at this point not to have infected masks, it begs the question of "where are the other elements?" And even so, if they're a force separate to Makuta, for exactly what reason? Why are they guarding the Ancient City? How did they end up the way they are? And, of course, if they can smack down the Toa like they're seemingly going to do exactly what would make Makuta think LOSS would have any chance against them?

Eh... not really. If Makuta is directly (or indirectly) commanding the Skull Spiders to find the Golden Masks, they're doing a terrible job of it. The Skull Spiders at Gali's shrine were practically protecting the gold Kaukau, and the spiders were incredibly close to many of the other shrines, and if I recall correctly the narrator said something about them lying in the shadows (presumably for ambush?) meaning they knew exactly where the Masks were. No offense, but the idea of Grinder being a villain with different goals to Makuta is ludicrous at this point. We don't even know what the MoCR is capable of, and how it relates to Ekimu and his abilities. Its clear that the masks Ekimu made (presumably the main 6 Golden Masks) were of high quality, and could result in Ekimu himself creating Toa's "upgrades" and whatnot. Is the MoCR even essential to whatever-the-heck Makuta's plan is? Probably not. Grinder could have even been trying to reforge the mask with Makuta's essence or something, we really don't know at this point how the infected masks will play out. Not to mention that having LOSS come in and bash up Grinder after being decimated by the Toa is a really lame plot twist. Just make it an April Fools joke. Baby Protector, Protector of Cuteness! /s

Ironically, even though LOSS is meant to be the killing machine, when you think about it it's actually the Toa that are in that scene. LOSS just shows up and they all decide it would be a good idea to smack down a giant bug because they "can't outrun it" when they're the ones charging towards it in hopes of killing it. It's even funnier when apparently LOSS is more terrible then whatever happened in the Ancient City a long time ago.

No, not a new shell as crotch armor, but rather a new torso shell with pin holes on both the upper half and lower half, with a new armor attachment (like the piston attachments we have now) for the crotch pin holes on the lower half to give variation and distinction from the torso.

Gosh darnit, should have seen this coming. Apologies, the intended picture is this, not a picture of Adam Jensen. I'll go edit that post now.

Basically, instead of just pin holes at the top (chest region) of a torso shell, a new variant would also have pin holes at the bottom (crotch region) along with a new armor add-on similar to the armor on Lewa in that artwork. If done correctly, it could also be used for other armor attachments.

Am I the only one who wants to see a piston-y torso with pin holes on both ends of it and a new armor attachment for the lower side so we can get something like this?

Yeah, but Lewa never got facehugged so that means the entire line is a flop. Why do I get the feeling someone is going to think I'm serious? Guess I have to be the "unpopular opinion" guy that thinks the new sets have a whole bunch of flaws that no one else cares about, like Gali's gappy tibia/fibula or the shoulder armor on Gali and Tahu looking really weird.

The amount of diversity introduced was actually a key influence in LEGO's near-bankruptcy, hence why LEGO tends to avoid that now. There are times when LEGO introduces a massive amount of pieces into a single new color (Chima lion stuff, NINJAGO's ghost stuff, etc), but sadly I doubt we'll ever see as huge amount of diversity from BIONICLE's heyday introduced again without a "good reason" for it.

That argument doesn't work when there's 16+ unique characters/variants thrown in that the entire story revolves around, rather than some obscure character like Mother Doomsday or the Postman. Characters like Neuro or Shade played very large roles in the story for secondary characters in the Tournament of Elements story arc. But as for "desirable" variants I'm wondering exactly what you're thinking. To expect Stone variants of the main cast, after Lloyd, Zane and Nya got them in the original wave, is not unreasonable. Even Kai is set to get his own Stone variant later this year (if not already) and other "exclusive" characters such as Lloyd DX have not, and likely will not, get a place in the story. These are not "obscure" variants, and LEGO has demonstrated that they are willing to make them - to an extent. I'm not going to lie, expecting the Stone variants of characters in something like Dimensions is a bit silly, but to expect them in their Zukin outfits? Then again, LEGO tried to pass off Techno Zane as an exclusive character so it's not entirely unexpected.

We've never had direct confirmation on where BIONICLE stands on the "best seller list". There's been times when LEGO has said "most successful line" but mostly "one of our most successful lines". Sure, the terms aren't interchangeable, but it's curious as to why they can't give a consistent answer. I do recall it being said once that NINJAGO was more successful in it's first year than BIONICLE was in its own, but I'm not sure about where it lies for the 2nd year of each.

Pretty sure that's the Green Lantern homeworld... place, thing, whatever. All I can see this turning out to be is another stale TT Games game. I'll wait for gameplay trailers, but I'm going to hurl if they call this "innovative" when it's another clone game.

Observation. The only exception to the rule is Undercover. I don't have time to check the leaked documents right now, but if they actually did say that there would be a lot more fanfare over it. This is the first time I've even seen the idea of a Gen 2 console game.

LEGO doesn't make console games for non-media based lines (LEGO Movie, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, etc), only handheld games. And I can guarantee you this, if Gen 2 gets one of them it won't be the game you're hoping for.

Woah there, slow down a bit. First of all, no, you're not. Second of all, Penkid actually is right and there's no reason to react like this to that. REX and the Wu Dragon sets are relevant in this discussion because they are both at similar price points and have a large difference in piece count, due to REX's airjitzu spinner and function. The other sets are irrelevant because they're at vastly different price points and none of them feature airjitzu spinners. I understand that in a debate/discussion/argument it can be difficult when you seem to always be on the losing side or it feels like you're messing up everything, but just remember to respect other people. If it doesn't contribute or help, don't post it.

That's a good idea, but I'm not sure how an Airjitzu battle arena would work... there's no feasible or featured way for the spinners to "fight" one another.

You've done a great job, but most of these really lack the "spirit" of the originals.

Hate to be the one to do this, but for the most part whatever the NINJAGO story team does gets ignored/vetoed by the Hageman brothers and Wilfilm. Case in point: Books/graphic novels/original visual dictionary VS TV show. The "established canon" at LEGO HQ is often different to the actual stuff. I'm just going to wait until we see Skylor again, if ever, to find out if it's canon or not.- 4,591 replies

I hadn't thought about the essence, but now that I think about it that means Garmadon's a loose end in regards to the spell after what Pythor did by accident. He'll either appear normally again, or he won't, assuming he ever pops in for a cup of tea an episode. We probably won't see Skylor again either, unless an army of giant noodle men is going to help fight Morro- 4,591 replies

It's not #1 or #3. Kryptarium is a prison, not a temple, and Chen's palace is easily ruled out. I'm curious as to why you used the photo you used for Chen's palace, because that image has nothing to do with it. The image itself though, that could be close to what we're going to get.
