Well, at the very least we got ten out of the 16-or-so combatants. Which really isn't a heck of a lot when half of that ten were the ninja themselves, another was Chen's daughter/faux-ninja and two were from another line.

I'm not sure if you're referring to me or Eljay when you say "Jay" and seeing as I don't remember Eljay speaking at the time the Vahi was brought up, then I'm astounded someone actually remembered my original username, let alone refer to me with it But I do agree with you, the final nail has yet to be put in the coffin. From what Merlin said, it's safe to assume that at the very least the story team is still working on the concepts at hand and that we won't get a definitive answer until either the Vahi does show up or the line ends, and assuming it doesn't happen people will claim it was a "planned feature". A link between worlds ( ) doesn't necessarily have to be in the form of the Vahi; Vezon and Brutaka both had Olmaks at one point and there's always the hundred billion other dimensions where everyone was mercilessly slaughtered for entertainment by the Grand Author Farshtey that might show up . Only time will tell if they choose to go down this path (no pun intended).

Old Bionicle parts you'd want to see brought back for Gen 2?
Mandate replied to Takanuinuva's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Exactly what is wrong with introducing armor shells with intricate detail on them? You're not being forced to MOC with them or even buy any sets that would feature them, and if it's the simplicity of the standard shells CCBS has then you've already got them in massive quantities - they wouldn't be going anywhere. And as for limb pieces, I can agree with you on lower arm/legs, but the upper leg/arm bones still have potential usage in sets today (case in point: Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty) Again, you've already got the basic shells that wouldn't be going anywhere due to their ease of use in most places. And as for the "patchwork" look, it's not exclusive to the BBS (case in point: 2.0 Heroes) Anyway, truth be told I don't want to see any particular piece brought back, but rather I see more potential in merging the two building systems into a single system. Both have advantages and disadvantages, and it would be great to see LEGO make an effort to bring both closer to Technic and System. The Mixels joints have made the problem worse by introducing a smaller-scale system that aligned with System and to an extent Technic, and CCBS is the elephant in the room that's growing fatter at an alarming rate the longer LEGO does nothing. -
The "Write Like a Ninja" contest has been revealed who-knows-when on LEGO.com. It's simple - you write fanfiction, and if you win, it gets published in a Scholastic book and still won't be canon. But seriously though, I doubt that this would be a huge challenge. The contest is being held through the LEGO Message Boards (and is indeed official), and considering it's gone under the radar thus far... well, I doubt it's going to be as big a challenge as BFTGM. The Message Boards has had one or two good child writers every now and again, so it will be interesting to see the results of this. LEGO has got a record of writing competitions that never went anywhere (coughalphateamcough), so I'm a bit wary of this. Oh, and the Videos page was just updated. EDIT: It seems that LEGO has unveiled a Golden Ninja and a Sensei Wu Dimensions packs.

Who is your favorite Ninjago villain?
Mandate replied to Master_Data's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Why are Morro and his army listed? Morro made the briefest of appearances possible in season 4 and the Ghost Army has yet to even be seen. Anyway, I'm just going to list the order in which I feel the villains have been portrayed. Armies: 1) The Stone Army. Their weaknesses aren't made clear due to retcons in The Dark Island and later inconsistencies, but they were easily the most formidable opponent the ninja ever fought and actually stood a chance on multiple occasions at destroying the ninja. 2) Skulkin. They were almost entirely comic relief, yet at the same time they actually stood a chance against the ninja. 3) Serpentine. Not terribly fond of them, and retcons make their motives painfully unclear. 4) Nindroids. I do believe I heard PIXAL call them an "upgrade" over Zane. 5) Cultists. They mostly goofed off until the grand finale of season 4 were they actually did something yet at the same time still managed to be an unconvincing threat. When the only form of death in the land of Ninjago is old age or suicide, it's hard to take the "ULTMATE YOL0 SWAG ARMIE OF POWAH" seriously when all they're capable of is pushing people. Villain: 1) Garmadon. Excluding his later "Sensei" days, he was a combination of both heart and villainy that I still love. 2) Pythor. He's a close runner-up to Garmadon, but like the rest of the Serpentine the retcons there's very little concrete known about him. 3) Overlord. There's only so many times you can hear a raspy voice claiming to be the Ultimate Evil and take them seriously when they're completely powerless in most situations. 4) Clouse. He's a great character with a great deal of potential, but I feel that the lack of insubordination between he and Chen was stretched thin. 5) Cryptor. Not much to say about him. 6) Kozu. He served his purpose. 7) Awful plan, annoying personality, and the unneeded reuse of a voice actor that makes him sound far too close to Skales. -
The irony, though, is that it's closer in appearance to the original Destiny's Bounty so far than the new version of it is. Probably because most likely case scenario Cyrus is Cyrus Borg

Ah, thanks for confirming that.

So this is the fabled exclusive? It looks like they mashed the aesthetic of the Fire Temple and the shrine from Epic Dragon Battle (eughhh, I had forgotten how awful a name that was) and threw in a mini Destiny's Bounty as compensation for bringing up such a bad memory. People are going to be very sore over this one if it is indeed the D2C set. It's just another one of last year's Chima "playset" bases except on a larger scale. Like the rest of the Ghost wave sets, I'm going to pass on it. Still though, this answers the question of why Brickset said the sails of the DB were tattered when the actual DB set is "clean".

I just want a decent story explanation for the Skull villains. Eg, why one of them has four arms, why there's some with horns sticking out of their heads, etc... because those problems still haven't been resolved in a certain other LEGO franchise. And never will at this point.

First one looks kinda cool, second one looks stupid (and so does Zane) and the third one has a really awesome perspective. Destiny's Bounty crashes yet again, Wu and Misako open up a tea shop. With SoR now seemingly non-canon, assuming they follow the same general plotline I'm calling it now that when the Cursed Realm is reopened again you-know-who won't stay dead. Well, actually, they'll still be dead per say, but you all know what I mean anyway <3- 4,591 replies

I could care less about whatever the heck Zane was doing in the Digiverse not being explained immediately, but "The Lost Element" was easily the worst episode after the disappointing plot, contradictions and above all, Kai's father never being mentioned once and never mentioned, hinted or alluded to for the rest of the season. Good idea, awful execution. If SoR gets re(tconned)capped, I'm calling it now that Ronin succeeds in opening up the Cursed Realm. Oh good, thanks for confirming that.- 4,591 replies

"Downgraded" is an odd title. This is going to be, what, the eighth time they've been downgraded, so what makes this significant enough to title an episode that? First they lose their dragons, then they lose the Golden Weapons (and thus their elemental powers, except lolnotanymore), then they lost their Elemental Blades, then they somehow managed to find a reason not to use the Techno Blades anymore, then they lost indestructible and invincible (until the Hageman brothers couldn't find any weaknesses and just said, "You know what? NEVER EXPLAIN WHY IT STOPPED WORKING!"), Also, "Back to the Learning Hall" is a dumb title IMO. edit: Realized I forgot to spoiler tag this. Oops.- 4,591 replies

I'm not discussing whether or not you can call the NinjaCopter and Boulder Blaster rehashes of one another, I'm discussing whether or not the Kai Fighter is a rehash of the Storm Fighter. And truth be told, it is: they're both jet fighters, they both have "bladed" wings and bodies, they both have a dual tail-wing construction at the rear, they use the exact same canopy piece in the exact same color (nitpicking to the max there), they both have their wings fold backward, and they both feature a similar setup, Jetfighter + golden "trinket" + lone enemy, with the only difference being the lack of a shrine in the Kai Fighter set. The only major differences are in the color scheme, build, price and aesthetics of the play function. They're literally the exact same concept. Believe me, I agree with your main argument on whether or not NINJAGO has "categories" or "rehashes". The Boulder Blaster isn't a variation on the same concept as the NinjaCopter, and the Electro Mech isn't a rehash of the Golden Mech. But I disagree when the similarities are too much, such as in the case of the Storm Fighter and Kai Fighter.
