  1. Ooh, CCBS Fenrakk anyone? ...except his teeth would be gunmetal.
  2. Can't wait for more news on this. Loved Legacy, despite its flaws.
  3. Create an Iron Throne? But seriously though, there's a few uses for them (most have nothing to do with CCBS). Painted brown they could be tree roots or in green, vines. Upside down, if you were to recreate the Pyro from TF2 they would do great as the igniter for the flamethrower. With a little ingenuity, you could use them as handcuffs or restraints of some kind. Maybe even something like Skull Slicer's chain claw.
  4. And exactly when was anyone other than Stormer or Furno actually in danger of said black hole? The black hole doesn't even kill people, it only transports or traps them. Yes, Von Nebula did some crazy things. But relatively speaking, yes, he was sane. Sane in comparison to, say, Harvey Dent, the Joker, Harley Quinn. There are people that have lived in this world that have done "worse" things. Look up any form of ancient torture device used en mass and being trapped inside a staff pales by comparison. Atrocities committed not even a century ago, done to entire armies and ethnic groups, were done by perfectly sane people but with twisted views of reality. You can argue all you want about the specifics of cartoon villains, but really, Von Nebula is comparable to the Claw from Inspector Gadget 2.
  5. But that's exactly the problem. Von Nebula is a shell - he's nothing. He's driven by burning hatred for Stormer, yet for no actual reason. He's a tryhard failure looking to blame everyone else for his problems and when he can't get his way, he throws a tantrum and swears revenge. He has no actual reason to hate Stormer other than what he (Von Nebula) did himself. He assembles a small army of villains (and eventually a giant one if that's how you interpreted Breakout) but to accomplish what? Petty revenge? What's going to change? He bases every ounce of anger and hatred on a facade of a person and never actually stops to do some actual thinking about his life of crime. Sure, he has nowhere to go after he made a fool of himself, but that's about it. He doesn't even try to make up for his mistakes, he just insists that the only way is to kill Stormer. His motive is so flawed at its core that he's like the Joker, he has no reason to do what he does, except that the Joker is psychotic and Von Nebula is completely sane. In short, he's stupid, illogical, hot-tempered, a traitor, and not even worth the five minutes of screen time he had. He's so boring that filler characters like Captain Soto and his pirates from NINJAGO were far more entertaining to watch. edit: To clarify, when I said "facade of a person" I meant the false construct of Stormer he had in his mind.
  6. NINJAGO Theories is still in denial.
  7. Question: why did Jaller get revived instead of Lhikan in Mask of Light? I mean, it was Lhikan's Hau...
  8. Ugh, I hated Von Nebula. One of the worst villains LEGO has ever had just because none of what he ever did made any sense. He runs away from a mission, Stormer saves the day, and vows vengeance on Stormer for... exactly what? Von Nebula had chosen the path of evil long before the event, he was just picking fights by the time of "Rise of the Rookies". He's fueled by petty revenge because he was a coward and abandoned his teammate and became a villain just because of that and Black Phantom's chat with him years beforehand. edit: Sounds strangely... medieval in some ways. I liked MoL's intro music better.
  9. We didn't get Pharaoh's Quest and some other lines until six months after initial release. We may never get them.
  10. It had been at the time. *snip - image was from BZP* (yes, I was considering doing that too )
  11. Mask of Creation has been taken down. I was actually considering doing that at first edit: note to self. Never visit the MB's again.EVER.
  12. Identical? Lolno, Kai's father's cheek structure goes almost directly upwards, Ronin's slopes off to the side. Eyebrows have a different shaping, Ronin's are thinner whereas KF's are thicker. The wrinkles are disputable because of facial animation, but I will stand by my point: Kai's father and Ronin have significantly different facial features
  13. When was this mentioned? Someone said it was the Legends video, but I've just checked and it doesn't say that
  14. Apparently Shadow of Ronin is going to be explaining some of the untold things in the show. No, Kai, I am your father! This is either going to make or break the canon.
  15. 1) Unconfirmed 2) Completely without basis or evidence 3) Kai's father and Ronin have significantly different facial features 4) All of the above
  16. I'm Lewa. Honestly thought I'd be Kopaka.
  17. Episode 7 now has its icon on the BIONICLE website. edit: Likely case scenario Ekimu will be making everyone new gear.
  18. If the rumor is true, that means it's only aesthetic "upgrades" for the Toa. Yuck. So let me get this straight, if rumors are correct (and I'm not saying they are) we can summarize all of the Gen 2 BIONICLE sets with , and ? Warning you now, first link has some swearing, last has some sword fightsNext thing we know, they'll be assigning the characters Greek letters as prefixes edit: Not to mention we had pictorial evidence when the BIONICLE rumors came out.
  19. That's pretty neat. I'm going to do something stupid and say that that's probably going to be the worst version of Zane we've gotten, in terms of looks. Powder blue, white and mainly black just doesn't look right.
  20. Really? Okay, name me a significant flaw in Lloyd's character. All develop into Lloyd's character has been, exclusively, idealistic. Any "development" that happened in Season 4's premiere was also idealistic. Lloyd never rushes into battle angrily like he did once or twice in Rebooted. He keeps his cool, he's smart, he's hardworking, he's the only ninja that stuck around when Zane died, he's the new team leader, he only does what is right, and worst of all he is: The Chosen One. Whereas the rest of the ninja and their allies: Jay is annoying, Kai is ignorant, Zane is weird, Cole is Cole, Pixal is unemotional, Borg has a disability, Wu has a past he's uncomfortable with and a sort-of crush on his brother's wife, Garmadon has a past he's uncomfortable with and is stern and strict, Dareth is goofy, Nya has some difficulties with choosing and can be overconfident, and Skylor can be cold and very... submissive (though this changes later in Season 4, and I'm glad it does) Those are flaws. That makes the characters seem human, and not some god-like chosen one. Making a character seem relatable is an important thing in a kid's show, and while I like Lloyd a lot he's far too one-dimensional. Oh, and the books are not canon. Ever. While I haven't read the book in question, it's a general, and currently exceptionless, rule with NINJAGO that the books aren't canon unless they are transcripts of an episode.
  21. ew no. Anyway, aside from the crummy voice acting I enjoyed this episode far more than the others. Maybe it was seeing something other than crazy action sequences and cheesy dialogue and actually getting some real mystery to Okoto that did it. I'm really curious now as to how the Skull villains are going to function in the plot, perhaps the Golden Masks are linked to their creator? Really though, this makes me speculate about how Ekimu, the MoCR, and the Golden Masks work, and the relation behind Makuta's Mask of Control and the undead villains. There's too many plot holes in my theory, but maybe the Golden Masks are connected to the Mask of Creation (assuming Ekimu made them) and masks made by Makuta are connected to his Mask of Control, giving him LoTR-like control over anyone wearing a mask he made? edit: Oh, I forgot to mention. Onua's digging towards a Vahi and a some broken CCBS bones, literally.
  22. Leave it sealed for the time being. You may be able to get one cheap off of eBay, but if all else fails you can give it to me I'd say open it. Enjoy it for what it is, don't let it just sit on a shelf collecting dust.
  23. Fixed that for you. Still though, it's hard to imagine them doing even that six times.
  24. I understand you were joking, but even HF got Mechs that featured knees, despite the "Herofigures" lacking them. If it were a cost issue, we would have never seen EXO-FORCE release every notable Mech with knees. Granted, some were missing elbows (or entire limbs, *cough*GoldenGuardianbutitwassoawesomenooneshouldcare*cough*) but for the most part they all featured it. I think you have to agree with me though, when I mentioned that there has been no non-licensed System-specific Mech that has featured knees in the past few years. Exo-Suit was based more around Technic than anything else, so it can also be considered and exception to the rule. Some sets certainly have to deal with pricing issues, but to have seen none in recent time is nothing short of ridiculous.
