  1. After seeing Jurassic World, I'm sorely disappointed with these sets. They're nothing like their movie counterparts. Warning: MAJOR spoilers ahead My inner ten-year old is still going to make me buy the sets anyway, but LEGO has really dropped the ball as of late.
  2. SoR isn't canon. Spinjago almost certainly never existed (and likely never will), Ronin is portrayed as a thief in Season 5 (rather than a for-hire merc) and the Hageman brothers never use "third-party" canon as official canon. And supposing that it actually is, nothing of importance whatsoever happens in the game. It's like Raiders of the Lost Ark - remove Indy from the movie, the overall outcome of the plot is exactly the same.
  3. Found Chain Cycle Ambush at a local store today. The sets are coming, Ninja of Fire, just wait.
  4. When did we get confirmation REX is a sub?
  5. It's not really a spoiler. It's very well known by now that Lloyd, like his father, will get possessed by xxXX|69ultimate-immortal-doomsday-warrior96|XXxx and that Aeroblades will make the undead re-die.
  6. Everyone said that 9 months ago about the normal Skull Spiders. LOSS is out of the picture now (cameo appearance is unlikely even if he did survive). Honestly, I think it's more likely that Ekimu is going to emerge from his tomb and destroy an entire continent with his face at this point
  7. We're going to have a lot of Star Wars jokes over the name of the book, calling it now.
  8. The entire website has been updated.
  9. Happy 100 pages of speculation, hype and derailing!
  10. I'm afraid not. Lloyd was born before Garmadon was banished to the Underworld. Kai, Cole and Jay had to have been born before this point, but also before Garmadon/Misako/Wu had aged significantly. We know that Misako and Garmadon were a couple (or close to it) before the Serpentine War struck, and both the Master of Fire and Master of Water were featured prominently during the war. Also, going by the "Lou never taught Cole anything" doesn't give any problems to what I have presented above. Why? Because none of the ninja were taught a single thing about their elemental powers by their inventor/parents. Weird stuff happens to the main characters in canon, and the insane number of retcons doesn't help anyone's case in trying to prove either version of the story.
  11. Ronin's hair is brown, Kai's father's hair is black. I doubt he's been swallowed whole by a giant snake any time recently, and I'm fairly certain Kai would have recognized him by now if he was his father. spoiler alert: ronin is kai from the future
  12. Australian Prices: $16 AU: Airjitzu sets (each) $20 AU: Ninjago Playmat (?) $30 AU: Blaster Bike $50 AU: Jay Walker One/Chain Cycle Ambush $60 AU: Master Wu Dragon $90 AU:Titan Mech Battle/Ronin R.E.X. $110 AU: Attack of the Morro Dragon $180 AU: City of Stiix $190 AU: Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty Well, I was willing to give NINJAGO a second shot but now I'm thinking otherwise. $946 (not including the playmat, or the D2C) is just plain ridiculous for a single wave of sets.
  13. First of all, it doesn't say Ronin has a son (second of all, spoilers). It only says Ronin has a "so". Ronin has a "so"lar panel? A "so"rbet? A "so" fashionable set of armor? Doesn't he know that undead spirits are so last season? (lame pun intended)
  14. The "it's good that a show uses a stylized appearance rather than LEGO form" argument doesn't work when the TV show's depiction is so outlandishly different from an actual set. Morro Dragon in the show looks hideous, and it's ridiculously far from the set appearance in almost every way imaginable.
  15. edit: oops, forgot to add the end spoiler tag :P
  16. Well, Ronin isn't Kai's father by this point unless hair dye is canonized, but I wouldn't be surprised if they kill off Lloyd or Wu at the end of the season. Or maybe they're all actually living in a giant moving statue of the First Spinjitzu Master. It worked for BIONICLE.
  17. I see so much hatred for Rebooted... they did a brilliant job introducing that season (IMO), even if The Void and The Titanium Ninja were somewhat lackluster (Titanium Ninja's first half isn't exactly the best, and the second half lost its impact after season 4). Honestly, I feel the exact opposite of what you're saying; this is the first season where everything feels so tiring, because everything that's happened before has already happened before in some way or just feels out of place. Aside from that, this season is a breath of fresh air in that Morro isn't a total loser, even if it feels like he's just running away all the time. His back story (which I can't wait to hear in English so it can be fully explained) is very interesting and helps to understand some of Sensei Wu's actions in earlier seasons.
  18. That. Is. Beautiful.
  19. Alright, new intro is awesome. New theme music is also cool, but like the Techno remix (and to some extent, the Anacondrai remix) it doesn't fit incredibly well. I'll update this post as I get through the episodes, but now I'm actually felling impressed with their work. Anyone know why they used the Grundel in the "previously on NINJAGO" thing though? EDIT: EDIT 2: Nevermind about the Grundel.
  20. The titanium... falcon. I cannot overstate how much I loathe this decision.
  21. Oops, yes I did. Not the intro, the opening scene of the first episode. Animatronics and undead people possessing random junk.
  22. Five Nights at Freddy's. Little kids love it, I hate it (mostly for the... "stranger" sides of its fanbase ). I bought the DB X today in hopes that I might enjoy NINJAGO again. Well, there goes my birthday money.
  23. Anyone want to bet the opening scene was chosen only because kids are obsessed with FNAF?
  24. Apologies for the double post, but I do believe this deserves it.
