Sadly, yes. People like NINJAGO Theories make claims without evidence all the time, and it can be difficult to prove them wrong because there's nothing to conflict with it, or support it. Fortunately, some of their theories are so ridiculous you don't even need to find evidence to say it's wrong.- 4,591 replies

I didn't like this episode as much as 6, but the character interactions were great. Voice acting needed some work though, it was waaaay too obvious it was one guy. Poor Gali.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Theories like the "They used to be Toa!" don't fully work with any of them. But I'm really wondering where they've come from, with the four arms on Slicer, the giant horns on Basher... is Makuta capable of mutating stuff?

Use spoiler tags. (if you don't know how, use [ spoiler ] at the beginning and [ /spoiler ] at the end of spoilery area, minus the spaces) I don't hate Garmadon, but he isn't nearly as cool as he was when he was evil. Stuff like the "Garmadon the roommate" scene really highlight his personality and his ability to resist the Devourer's venom whenever doing something evil could harm his son (actually, let's make that "mostly" seeing as he did release a Grundel that one time). I just feel that after Lloyd defeated the Overlord Garmadon became a much less... iconic? character. As a story transition it made sense, Garmadon wants nothing to do with evil anymore and wants to make up for the wrong he's done in his life, even if that really consisted of unleashing the Overlord for less than twelve hours. See, Garmadon became a pretty dull character. His back story is very interesting, but other than that there's not much the Rebooted/Chen plots do good with him. I loved him in Enter the Digiverse, but I found no actual reason to like Garmadon with his constant nagging. Nobody cried over Garmadon in the plot, and they shouldn't have bothered to attempt to throw that kind of a plot point in after how much they've dragged that in in season 5 alone. And we have absolutely no evidence whatsoever for any of the Ronin theories - they're simply speculation. I most certainly won't argue against Ronin being Kai's father (it's almost certainly going to be the dark secret), but there is literally no evidence for any of theories. Indirect "evidence"? Plenty. But nothing concrete.- 4,591 replies

To be more precise, 1 month and 13/14 days ago. I had a lot of problems with it, outside of its conflict with my own beliefs after you-know-who poofed again. Seriously, pretty much well everyone acted stupidly in episode 44. I apologize for the rant, but I really hated that episode for pretty much well everything that happened in it. It was filled to the brim with pointlessness and had a very pointless ending.- 4,591 replies

Actually, every single one of them is a retrace of artwork from either 2012 or 2011. Skylor's poster is a trace of Zane's NRG artwork, and Lloyd is a trace of Kai ZX. Sadly, I can't find Kai's or Zane's anymore but they were definitely traces of their 2011 artwork.

Hey, guess what? I was referring to the sets, and said the word "sets" whenever referring to the IFB Beasts. So by that context, they actually do count. 1) I never got angry 2) Are these colors present in the sets? They therefore count in the statement "nearly every CCBS set has metallic colors in it". They may not count in the overuse of metallics at a singular level, but on a whole, they still contribute. You want an example? I can't give you one because people have opinions. What's an overuse to me isn't to you. Sets like Fire Lord or Drilldozer, and Breakout Bulk (that might sound ridiculous considering silver is Bulk's main color, but gunmetal is the main color of that set) feel like they have needless overloads to me. And then there's sets like Ultrabuild Hulk that use metallics to give the appearance of armor when Hulk is rarely ever seen wearing armor, let alone that kind. Onua's is more blatant with his usage of both gold and silver. Piece count doesn't matter if the parts are huge. And for the record, Gali looks amazing. She doesn't look like Tahu who has gold pieces strapped on for seemingly no reason, and she the colors aren't out of place like Kopaka's silver torso. Gali balances out her metallic colors by using the contrast of azure and gunmetal/silver very well. And frankly, Lewa looks perfectly fine. But what about Pohatu? Pohatu's burnt orange is almost (keyword: almost) the secondary color in the set. I just call them the "Toa Masters". Not sure what else to call them, really.

No clue what as to what you mean by a "thumb wars" reference? The only experience I have with anything called thumb wars is a literal thumb war with friends :P- 4,591 replies

And if I didn't know better I'd say you were trolling because I even mentioned that I was being pedantic about those sets and that I had no problem with them. I never used the IFB Beast sets as a direct example of overuse of metallic parts, only of featuring [some] metallic pieces. Metallic pieces are overused on a whole, but not in every set. So please, don't put words in my mouth.

Right then, I'll quote myself. Keyword being pieces. I also recall using the word sets in my post just before yours. The part I'm referring to is this. Did I ever even complain about Queen Beast/Splitter Beast in particular? No. I never even pointed fingers at any sets in particular. I've been referring to, the whole time, the overuse of it. Yes, I'm being overly pedantic about the Beast sets but the point still remains: it's overused. It works well for Toa like Lewa and Gali, but for the most part we see metallic pieces everywhere. Aside from Lewa and perhaps Onua (who still has an overload IMO), we never see sets like Gelu or Ackar who balance out the colors so very well. Heck, we haven't seen any CCBS sets with a remotely similar color scheme to them. People might hate the Glatorian, but from an aesthetic standpoint they were wonderful. I suppose I'm just tired of seeing gunmetal, silver and gold everywhere. Since I was first truly introduced to constraction after HF came out, it's all I've ever seen in sets.

I admit I stuffed up on the latter three, mainly because of LEGO's CGI rendering. However, every single one of the Beast sets from IFB (excluding the polybag, which I had noted earlier) feature metallic pieces. The number of sets is still startling nonetheless, a whopping 131 out of 135 released CCBS sets.

Super accurate edition: Ronin: Master Chen never told you what happened to your father... Kai: He told me enough! He told me NOTHING! Ronin: That's exactly the point I was making. Kai: Oh. Ronin: The truth is... I am your father. Kai: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Super weird edition: Ronin: Master Chen never told you what happened to your father... Kai: He told me enough! He told me NOTHING! I'd like to preface this post by suggesting that anyone who wants to reply to this post would copy+paste the quote and coding and posting it in the TV show thread. Thanks. She chose Cole at the end of episode 34, and it was confirmed in episode 35. Later episodes indicate she's still somewhat indecisive, but it's made clear numerous times that she's with Cole now. Not really.

The lack of true Titans is infuriating. Even Skull Grinder doesn't fit the category of Titan, more of "$20 set with a $10 set strapped on" which is ludicrous considering he's the only villain without a Toa to fight and the only one that isn't $15. Or, for me, he's going to be a $30 set with a $15 set and an extra $5 mark-up to go. Queen Beast costs $60 around here CCBS has killed a lot of cool things we used to get all the time. Like Titans, vehicles (yeah, not CCBS' fault, but we've only had one in the entire duration of CCBS), colorschemes that don't feature metallic or transparent pieces, and a variety of other things like Technic being directly integrated into the building system itself. I'm not kidding on the metallic thing. Of all the released CCBS sets, only one doesn't have metallic pieces, and it was a polybag from last year. I want to see things like Gali Nuva, she used metallic as a highlight but it didn't dominate the color scheme. As much as I love seeing transparent pieces, they're becoming far too frequently used. It's more than a little ridiculous when Kopaka, PoI and PoF have transparent hands of all things.

The books aren't canon. We probably won't. The love triangle is already over, btw.

It's not BIONICLE... It's Hero Factory, "Defeat" =/= "Death" Considering we had 3 years of HF sets with villains/heroes lurking in the background and all the Toa but Gali have LOSS creeping around in their boxart somewhere... Things like Ekimu, or the Ancient City never happened in Gen 1 either. The Toa actually staying united for any lengthy period of time was apparently a rare occurrence as well (or so I'm told).

Look at the perspective. It's a hand grasping from the lower corner, hardly a "I CAN ALMOST FEEL THE POWER!" stance but more similar to just having had their tails kicked by the villains and reaching for their mask as a last desperate attempt. Wow... I hadn't even thought about the box comics for Summer. I wonder what they're going to be like...

The box art for the Summer sets. Skull Scopio is featured at the gates to the city, Skull Slicer is featured on a cliff in/outside the city, Skull Warrior is near a monument inside the city, and Skull Basher. There's a clear progression through the sets. Is it really? Why are there hands outstretched reaching for the "infected" masks then? The Toa fall one by one to their respective villains as they enter the city. Believe it or not, LEGO has done stories like this once or twice in the past (in similar settings too, funnily enough) so it's not out of the question.

Great news everyone! The box art for the summer sets tells a story of how the Toa get through the Ancient City. Each one gets closer and closer to the Anvil (or whatever that place is going to be called) until the artwork depicts the inside of the Anvil. By the looks of things, Pohatu or Lewa will fall first (hard to tell the distance). Kopaka will then be defeated, and at the steps towards the Anvil Onua will be defeated. Then on the inside of the Anvil, Skull Grinder and Ekimu have their battle after Tahu forgets what he's doing and accidentally wakes up Ekimu, killing Gali in the process Tahu or Gali make their way inside.

Yep, Vita is kinda cool but it's more or less abandoned. Better off getting a 3DS if you ever plan to play any game other than SoR. The main thing I hate about that blog is their complete refusal to roll with the punches in NINJAGO. They never work with the meta of it, and whenever they do it's completely stupid like their instant conclusion that Turner was Griffin simply because Garmadon gave Jay an epic burn on the subject of "what is an element, and what isn't?". In that was a complete disregard for keeping in mind an alternate possibility on the subject, and for they dished out some poorly structured arguments and irrelevant points on some random kid that sassed them over it. They refuse to learn from their mistakes, a track record of false theories and they're still churning them out with absolutely no regard for the possibility that they could be false, and insist on a "MY WORD IS FINAL!" policy. I'm not going to pretend that I'm an angel when it comes to this sort of stuff, but when it comes to things such as Ronin being entirely canon I accept that willingly. And while I do insist that there is no direct evidence for Ronin being Kai's father, I'm willing to bet money that Ronin actually is Kai's father. It doesn't take Einstein to figure out the relationship between a villain slotted to be a good guy coupled with Kai in a red vehicle named after said villain and a video game about the exact same guy that bridges the gap between season 4 and 5 also set to explain inconsistencies in season 4 immediately after they had a set-up for "dark secrets" to be revealed about Kai's father. Like, really. There's not much point in denying it. It also doesn't take every famous scientist that ever lived to figure out that when multiple official sources say something is canon, IT'S CANON.- 4,591 replies

Hey, that's perfectly fine. I guess I'm not really on the same wavelength as you regarding Von Nebula, I just never really got on board with his backstory. Then again, I never really liked any of HF's villains aside from some of the personality traits of Black Phantom and Fire Lord.
