[WIP] 9 Axle Mobile Crane

Cool. It looks heavy but not impossible to raise, I think with pulleys. You're going to need a bigger bed. -

Technic Black Parts
dr_spock replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Black with dark grey and bley. Picture 4945 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr One problem with black is dust sticks out like a sore thumb and the models need regular cleaning. -
Snowing season!

8043 and 8110 with AA NiMh batteries don't seem to work that well in the very cold temperatures. -

I think it means they aren't producing new ones at factories and they'll sell off whatever stock they have left in inventory. How quickly things sell out will depend on the popularity of model and if there will be deep discounts. Lately it seems like people will snap up any LEGO set on sale. Waiting too long for a set you really must have can end up being a missed opportunity.

I think subforms would be more effort to go through, read and maintain stuff. Perhaps a pinned FAQ thread that answers most common questions. Guidelines on thread creation. What needs a topic of its own or can be posted in the General discussion. The Technic forum is busier now than in the past. Maybe more volunteers can help manage it in which ever direction goes.

Top Customer Rated Technic Sets

Sellers can ask whatever price. No guarantee someone would be willing to pay that price to buy it but as a seller you can always hope. -

Use a stiffer brush if the canned air and the soft dust brush are not removing the stubborn dust. -
Technic Black Parts
dr_spock replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You probably should put Technic in your thread subject so it doesn't get moved. I have a lot of black technic bricks. They seem fine for GBCs. They're hard to photograph with my point and shoot camera when the light is not all that good. I guess it is good if you don't want your MOC design to be reverse engineered. Saw District 9 for the first time. Found it pretty good. Kind of messy with all the splatters.
