Avast. It's not exactly Lego. Over at gCaptain maritime blog, they did a review/synopsis of various Hollywood pirate movies over the years. http://gcaptain.com/...-pirate-movies/

Congrats Bob.

Yay, #1. Thank you Peppermint_M!

I usually use both. I put my money shot on Flickr and other shots (building, details) on Brickshelf. I haven't seen flickr and brickshelf down at the same time. Flickr goes down less than brickshelf.

Nice build and video. -
Arr, me hearty. Depending where you are, your locale may be more tolerant of scantily cladded women than other places. Now how well you can focus on the Lego instead of them?

I probably have half a dozen or so. I keep misplacing them so it is good they come with each new larger sized set.

In business it's money. They probably crunched some numbers on how they think the set will do in different regions of the world and determine it is not worth their while to market, distribute and sell this set out of the Asia. In my former line of work, we get the same concerns from customers why we don't offer our classes in their cities and they had to travel to the bigger cities to get our training. The answer is usually not enough interest in their cities. We need a minmum number of students to be financially worthwhile. I can query the databases to see where the majority of our students come from, how much they spent, determine trends, volume discount qualifications, etc. It would be nice if we can see their business plan and how they determine where to sell sets. A few years ago they didn't sell the 8258 Crane Truck in Canada. Fortunately I have relatives in the United States. I guess if you want sometning bad enough, you'll find a way to get it.

Brickshelf has the same ad. It's for a online game.

Welcome aboard, Josu.

Thanks I believe they remove all the unused stuff from the locomotive like engine, traction motors, radiators, generators, etc. They might fill the fuel tank with concrete so that it's not top heavy. There is probably stilll maintenance to be done on the NPCU like wheels, brakes, lights, etc. Thanks. Half a century ago I would probably build an Alco PA or PRR GG1. Thanks. Do you have porter all her gear? Thanks. I was tempted to do 7740 type pantographs. Back in the 1980s I used to look at the trains in the LEGO catalogue and dream...

The EMD F40PH was my favorite locomotive engine growing up. I used to watch Amtrak F40PHs coming and going out of Boston's South Station. I even had an HO model of one. Now that I have the train bug again, I have to make one. After researching, I learned that they have been replaced by the GE Genesis locomotives. I felt like I had a 30 years Dark Ages in railroading too. They have been sold off, scraped or repurposed. In the late 1990s to early 2000s, Amtrak rebuilt some of their aging fleet of F40PH locomotives into non-powered control units baggage cars. They are also called Cabbages by railfans. The prime mover engine and traction gears have been removed from the units leaving a big space inside for baggage. The advantage of the NPCU in push-pull operation over a passenger car with cab control is there is a big locomotive frame in between if a collision occurs at a level crossing. It's also roomier for the engineer. I made my MOC in Amtrak latest phase V paint scheme to match my AEM-7AC. I tried to keep to a more 1980ish Lego trains look. It's the first time I made clear stickers. I used Avery transparent inkjet label sheets. They seem to work well on a single brick. Sticker across multiple bricks seem to leave gaps and I'm afraid to smudge the ink if I pressed any harder. I also decided to sticker my AEM-7AC MOC.
