What should or should not be on Lego Ideas?
dr_spock replied to Wodanis's topic in General LEGO Discussion
May depend on what or how it is depicted. Here is their current list: They have the final say. But you don't know if you don't try. I think the odds are better if you have read and follow their guidelines. I guess it is like applying for a job. Projects related to the topics below do not fit our brand values and will not be approved for publication on LEGO Ideas. We will decide how a project fits these standards. a. Politics and political symbols, campaigns, or movements b. Religious references including symbols, buildings, or people c. Sex, drugs, or smoking d. Alcohol in any present day situation e. Swearing f. Death, killing, blood, terrorism, or torture g. First-person shooter video games h. Warfare or war vehicles in any modern or present-day situation, or national war memorials i. Racism, bullying, or cruelty to real life animals -

Oh the horror. Great build. I vaguely remember watching the movie on black and white TV.

Don't forget GBC balls are a light load. There is no need to over engineer it with metal and what not, unless money is no object. We had this vertical lift for our display. It doesn't have a lot of bracing but it held up. . by Dushko D, on Flickr It went up high enough for the 6'4" builder to walk under it.

The optics are not good. Guy could be trying to profit off a tragedy. It still has to get to 10000 votes. LEGO can still axe it in the formal review process when they take a deep look. -
The older pins were thicker if recall. They required lots of finger strength to pull out which is not good for builders with arthritis. I came across two in my collection that wouldn't come out even after pulling with pliers.

Which survey is that? Is there a link?

Appeal might be different outside of the US railroad and history fans. We weren't part of the 1869 Golden Spike. We didn't finish our transcontinential until 1885.

Power functions not the same for Set 10233 Horizon Express and Set 600
dr_spock replied to AlexJ's topic in LEGO Train Tech
It is to make the motors go in the same direction if you have the motors oriented in opposite direction. It would be the easy way if you have an extra PF switch kicking around. You could make the two motors face the same direction but the power cable may get in the way. You'll have to do some creative cable routing through the orange train base plate. -
