Minifigures are toys but if you are treating them as long term collectibles, then you should wear gloves when handling. Oils from your fingers could get in between molecules of the plastic. If that part of the plastic is under load then that could lead to a chemical stress crack. Your body oils may not react nicely with the printing. To avoid stress fractures on torso, the legs should not be attached to the torso. The part of the leg in contact with the torso is putting some outward pressure on the torso. If the tolerances are not perfect, then you know...

Nice job. I like your brick built BN. I think BN railroad should spend some money and weed spray their mainline. That lack of maintenance doesn't look good for a class I railroad.

I think if you can get wireless tire pressure monitoring sensors to communicate with the car's TPM system, you can get a Sbrick to talk to your Bluetooth 4.0 smartphone or tablet.

Radio waves in the 2.4GHz band. They go through plastic.

I have a Jar-Jar minifig that has been horribly used daily since the beginning of the year. It has been ripped apart and reassembled on a regular basis. It hasn't cracked yet. I do notice it come apart much easier now compared to when I first started the project in January. I have some firefighter figs on display for 30+ years in a fire station. They creak when I move their arms and legs, very stiff. I came across a used fig with a crack in the back at the base of the feet. I don't know if it was abused or a bad batch of ABS or environmental exposure that weaken the plastic or a combination of factors. It does happen but I haven't experienced it that often.

When do you use Technic panels?
dr_spock replied to Andy D's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I use them here and there. Some times I experiment with them in other themes as I have a bag full of them. Day 044 of 365: Technic Compactor by dr_spock_888, on Flickr swoosh by dr_spock_888, on Flickr -
They did a couple a years ago when there were problems with linear actuators in the Technics 8043 excavator. There is a precedence. You do have to contact Customer Service and they sent replacement parts.

If on a keychain or fridge magnet, then glued. If for display purposes only on a shelf, then no glue. -
