  1. Finally! That will narrow down the field significantly. There have been some great Star Wars, Marvel, DC. etc projects that unfortunately had no chance of passing review
  2. Lego just uploaded a video about the modular series. It looks like a solid future for now. Also, there are some details about the evolution of modulars.
  3. Wow, you managed to nail this famous scene in Lego! Nice work!
  4. So they took out the Lego aspect of Unikitty? Yeah, I can see why Brickset is convinced that this is April Fools related. When people think your announcement is an April Fool's joke, and it is not, that does not bode well.
  5. Thanks for the links! That is truly a great technique for creating roller coaster track.
  6. Rumor has it that Dimensions is winding down, but they actually did include a hidden area in the game that has the Flintstone's house. You need a TARDIS to access it. The house and car are there, but not the characters. I do not think they would make a mold for Dino since IDEAS sets are supposed to use only preexisting molds.
  7. The way he did the Dino addition is amazing! I would have never thought of that. Anyway, this is going to be a very strong contender.
  8. This is very nice. I would love to see a closeup of how you did the tracks as we have entertained the idea of making a continuous loop, functioning roller coaster.
  9. Minifigs sure could come to life in the same sense as Woody and Buzz, with the added bonus that they could swap parts. I suppose the "hive mind" could work, although it is hard to imagine a single brick being able to spontaneously move without a little help.
  10. "The Office" has 15 minifigs in it. It will get rejected in review because TLG was planning on introducing a set in the City line next year titled "Fun In the Office" and there is too much overlap.
  11. I use plastic bins that can be purchased in Walmart. Each set is bagged in normal plastic bags ranging from sandwich bags for the smaller ones up to ziploc freezer bags for the larger ones. If the instructions can fit inside the bags, they will be included.
  12. Excellent detail! The grey and tan go well on the cathedral.
  13. Looking forward to the Glittering Caves!
  14. That is a long time to wait for a reveal, and of course there would be a time gap between the reveal and the actual release of the set. The Apollo 11 command module had been on display in the Smithsonian in Washington for many years. Only its location is really changing, perhaps for the anniversary. My guess for the silence and possible delay would be that Lego knows it will be a big seller (no pun intended) and are busy on big production runs in order to avoid a repeat of the Mars Rover and any other set that lasted about as long as a snowball in Florida. The design on the rocket surely would be resolved by now, so hopefully they are getting ready to release it in late Spring or early Summer. Now if Lego did want to create some more press around the project, they could have a special release at Johnson Space Center on July 20 right in front of the real Saturn V. Just saying.......
  15. In a lot of cases, neither the kid nor the parents might not even be aware that something is missing. Unless of course, the missing minifig is focus to the set (ie. a Darth Vader in a DV tie fighter). Maybe some of the more expensive sets could be stored behind glass like they do with the video games. Sometimes, Walmart and Target have cables around them which are not removed until checkout.
  16. That is a lot of detail and good work in the cathedral. Nice techniques, especially with the rose window
  17. Wow, that is a lot of Classic Space. That is great how the monorail weaves throughout the space base. It is a nice design and blends in well with the massive collection.
  18. Lovely cathedral! The tall vaulted nave works very well. The details such as the tombs, organ assembly and the sand green details really add to this build.
  19. This is a very nice rustic looking diner. Funny thing is that if this was in Alaska or Canada, the bear itself would probably be the dumpster diver I would probably add a little bit of food to the presentation. If this is something like Alaska, you could have burgers (moose meat), sausage (reindeer), and of course some fish.
  20. The tram is not too big and it is something fresh and new. I like the diner as well, but think the tram would probably have the best chance.
  21. Not surprised about Voltron, but Women of NASA? ---- especially considering the omission of Eileen Collins (one of the most deserving) and Christa McAuliffe. It looks like we have had the latest sacrifice to the altar of political correctness. I will say no more.....(regarding this)
  22. If the Lego S&H is an indication of things to come, it does not look good. How would a potential year 3 do well if the starter packs for PS4 and XBox are shown to be sold out on the website? Many of the level, team, and fun packs are also not available on line or in the Lego Stores either. We have had to rely on Toys R Us and sometimes the 99 Cent store to find stuff. Other than the new Batman Movie level pack, I have not seen Lego itself do anything to promote the game.
  23. Kind of surprised to see that James Bond would be considered as it has so much similarity with Mission Impossible. Not saying that it would not be great to have it, just seems like the abilities/missions might seem redundant between the two. With Bond action taking place worldwide, I wonder how the Adventure World would turn out. Perhaps like Doctor Who, where they have bits and pieces of different locations fused into one world?
  24. This is an amazing work! There is some very innovative detail going on, especially on the roofline. I really like the colors as well.
  25. Dungeon Master really has some potential. Yes, it has a large piece count, but the playability and the way that the chambers are interchangeable could be enough to tip it in favor of being approved. The name might have to be changed to avoid having this be a licensed set as I think it is a trademark term in D&D. If it is seen as a generic building role-playing fantasy game, then that would probably improve its chances.
