Glad to see the project is still coming along, Gary! Those covers look nice. For anyone on the fence, I can personally say that the digital version for only $30 is a great value, and you won't be disappointed! Looking forward to the big update next year.

(MOC) Theramore Castle from World of Warcraft.

Spectacular! The way you captured the stone wall patterning is especially good. The steps down from the wall are excellent as well. Do you have any more detailed pics of the individual buildings/sections? -
Awesome! The P and the K are my favorites, but they're all lovely.

Definitely had the same thought. Looking at it more closely, though, it's really just a facade and not even as complete a building as the Winter Village sets. Still, can be a good starting point for a mod. I mean, I guess I'd remove the hot tub with digital entertainment center, but... it's a cute building.

Welcome to EB, Winchester! At least you donated your physical Lego to a good cause! As for as plagiarism, what I would do is consider posting your topic as a MOD (modification) rather than a MOC, but whether you do or not, just be sure to clearly recognize the builder of the cab that you're using. Nothing wrong with saying, "I used XXXX's cab design and them made my trailer with these features..." - just acknowledge and then focus on the parts you did design yourself. We all take inspiration from lots of different places and it would be hard to go back and credit every person who ever used an interesting new design that you've also used somewhere, but that's different than using a whole build verbatim. Everyone here is pretty understanding so long as you make an effort and clearly aren't trying to pass off someone else's work as your own. Happy (digital) building!

That is so great! The play features (pun intended) are wonderful, and the whole thing is beautifully detailed and executed. Bravo!

Yes, I think there's a mountain lion in the 2018 mountain police theme... maybe someone got some early parts from those upcoming sets?

Welcome (to posting on) EB, runnybabbit223! Plenty of inspiration here as you know - happy building!

I did now know that such a thing existed, and you did a great job capturing it, both aesthetically and functionally. Great job! -
Star Wars EBay Find Too Good to Be True?
deraven replied to KDog's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Well, based on the lack of images besides the front of a damaged box, I'm betting that they either ran off with $20 x 2 for nothing at all (you'll never get a shipment), or you'll get just the empty, damaged box that they picked out of the trash and might claim that the pieces must have fallen out in shipping, or best case scenario you'll get that maybe genuine Lego box filled with some super-cheap clone parts... and then the seller just fades away, creates a new account, and does it all again. But... there is always a chance. Do update us when something happens, and good luck! -
I'm game to find out... But really, even at the smaller sizes I think most of the other builds are OK, especially considering the theme and holiday display usage, etc., but they can easily go too small. I think too small is worse that a bit too big. Like the Winter Village Market. The scaled-down carousel is a nice model, but doesn't really stand up on its own, and then all the rest of the builds are pretty anemic. Same with the Winter Village Station. Great to get a train station, and the bus is awesome, but the station itself which should be the star is just too skimpy. They should have added 200 parts to the model and made it more substantial and it would have made it more than worth and extra $10ish at retail, IMHO. Looking over the last several sets it feels like they're trying to stick to a budget at the expense of making outstanding sets and so they come out just "good." I'd still rather that then it balloon into another range of modular buildings (though that wouldn't be so bad ), but a few dollars more here and there as the set requires seems like it'd make a big difference.

Only took a month to get there, but you certainly do deserve the front page - well done! -
OK, I will agree that for overall scale, the Cottage is oversized compared to the rest of the line. I just happen to be of the opinion that the other buildings are all a bit too small in the first place.

That is just outstanding all-around. The detailing on the boiler is fantastic, but it all still feels very clean and sleek. Beautiful job!

Hands-down, the Cottage. The Bakery is a fine little set, but it's less than half the piece count and it definitely shows in the overall build and details. If you can get a good deal on the Bakery you should grab it to help fill out the village, but if you're only picking one it's got to be the Cottage. It just feels so much more substantial, and it's a much more interesting build. I like the overall look of the building better in general, and the details inside are very nice without being nearly as cramped as with the Bakery. I also think the side builds are quite a bit nicer. The wood shed is nothing spectacular, but it does add a little more interest, but the truck and sled are both lovely. And that igloo with the stove inside is delightful! I think the Cottage may be my favorite WV set in the whole series thus far.

Yeah, $3/drawer isn't cheap, but definitely not unreasonable. If the drawers were made and you had enough buyers, I don't think it would be too much of an issue for folks to knock together a frame/shelves to hold them. Or hunt around at IKEA and similar places to see if there's an existing shelving or organizational product of theirs that could be made to fit them easily so it's not totally re-inventing the wheel but also not the hassle of going fully custom. You might consider modifying the upper edge and/or bottom of the drawers slightly so they can be stacked securely- that might increase the marketability for folks considering buying some if they could be used as more general purpose bins as well as drawers. Just a couple thoughts...

Welcome to EB, Isak! Looking forward to seeing your creations. Happy building!

It's all so great, I'm struggling with what to say! The temple and colosseum (that crowd ) are especially nice, but even the texturing on the streets looks great. Very nice!

That's great! Nice spread of food for the attendees there, and the submarine looks fantastic! Any more detail photos of the sub, and is there any interior detailing? -
That came out beautifully. And what a great choice (and execution) for the color on the car! Nice little touch with the bar on the front grill.

Welcome to EB, Steamdemon! 1994 was a fun year for town sets, if not anything too memorable (besides a first set, of course!). I recall thinking the airport from that year (Century Skyway) was fabulous. Happy building!

That is completely ridiculous. Bonkers. Very nice.

I love it! Beautifully designed and executed! I will say that it really needs a flight mode, though.
