    It can be made a option....good builders will generally find room for the battery box.

    If you make a new part that has the cable the way you want roughly in MLCAD you can then turn it into a part,which you can sub for the parts that you don't want. Here is a tutorial.

    Can you upload your file using a online file sharing site i.e Brickshelf or Bricksafe for us to look at?

    Allan if you get a spare hour or so make a MLcad file of an adjustable valve for anyone who needs one.

    You could just limit the movement of the handle on the switch,then connect it to sariel's worm gear driven one.

    Being a student at CADD I can tell you that that is a lot of extra work,yes you can use inventor or 3DSMAX to make the model but you would also need some sort of program like unity to make a virtual viewer that you could interact with.

    Start with the telescopic section of the boom,get that looking the way you want it then move on to the main arm (look at how the crane trucks crane works). The top of the main boom should be slightly curved,you may need to offset the LA connection by 1/2 a stud.You can do this by using connecters and offset connectors.

    I am going to be brutally honest and say that the crane does not look very good. Yes the functions are there but the looks are not. I would make the cranes red and black like the pic below. Take a look Efferman's crane and scale it down a bit.

    You know lego do make pins with tow-balls,I don't like to vote for moc's that have shoddy workmanship.

    I think you can improve on the door opening mechanism a bit,if you need a clue then think old style 90's technic.

    Right click -> add part -> custom part -> browse for your model -> hit ok.

    I don't think you could remove any motors,the main body looks crammed.

    An excavator would be nice if I can find the time. All we need is a pneumatic version of a spool valve.

    Does that mean you will finish your backhoe loader then?

    If they do turn they will be linked to the motor,but I can't see any pf lights....perhaps its a extra thing if you own the power function kit.
