Eurobricks Event 2010 in Billund.
Bonaparte replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Ok, thanks. Same here (as long as it's not including the 30th of April). If it would be earlier there would be a bit more distance between the event and our public holidays on the 14th/15th of May (else I'll have a lot of holidays in a short time which might give some job related problems). But again, it's not a big thing and I'll make it on the other dates also. -
Eurobricks Event 2010 in Billund.
Bonaparte replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Because Kim can't make it on the old dates, I'm fine with the new ones. I'll just sacrifice some of my holidays, but it's for a good reason Basically I can make it on whatever dates except Saturday 30th of April. So should you guys want to change again it might be handy to have this info. Ras, I suggest you send a PM to those who have confirmed already to make sure they don't miss this info. It's in the middle of this thread and I can understand not all check it regularly. -
If you have pictures to share, then share them. But please don't start a discussion thread like this one. Thanks! Topic closed!

'Behind The Helm' Episode #10 - Cutlass_Iz
Bonaparte replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
A very enjoyable interview. I must admit I like these audio interviews much more than the written ones. I can listen to them when doing some building which is really nice. You have a very enjoyable voice Miss Iz. I'm sure the two of you will spoil us with some very interesting interviews. I'm looking forward to them! -
I will definately come to the EB Event!
Bonaparte replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Already 15 confirmed for the event and we're just starting -
I honestly laughed out loud when seeing the admiral on the toilet Taking into account I'm not having a great evening, this is a huge achievement

I will definately come to the EB Event!
Bonaparte replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I'll be there for the full event It's great to have someone from Australia at our event -
If the Merlin permium pass which Quarryman mentions is the same as the seasonpass which you mention, then things should be OK. If you guys bought those annual passes during last years event it should be OK (last year the event started 20th of May). Of course, I suggest you double check as I'm making assumptions.

I've been looking into the dates. There is a Christian holiday on Thursday 13th of May. So in Belgium (and I assume other countries around also) we'll also have a holiday on that day and the next. For this reason I suggest the event starts on Thursday 13th of May and goes until Sunday 16th of May. It will save me some precious holidays, and I assume it will be the same for other Europeans.

That's a brilliant steam engine. The black in combination red is a classic and it always works. To me this one looks perfect (and I'm kinda a train expert because I take one to the office every day ).
-
Nice design! And I love the colors which you used. The color below, is that sand green? And the one above is dark green? Fantastic new(er) colors that I try to use myself more and more.
-
Your engine is very impressive. The way you've incorporated the red color into the black engine is fantastic!

What if LEGO changed the name of the Castle theme?
Bonaparte replied to -The Hyphen-'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If a lady asks something, who are we to refuse? I never like to kill a good discussion, so I've re-written the first post a bit (and changed a bit of info here and there in some of the other posts) so the discussion can continue. Have a look -

LEGO World 2009 - Netherlands (Zwolle)
Bonaparte replied to Bricks's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I am most definitely coming! It's still unclear which day I'll be there. Which day are you guys taking? -
For my latest MOC I want to make perfect pictures, so I've started to build my own photo setup using 3 point lighting. I've purchased all the required material: - A big wooden plate (Ill cut this one in 4 pieces - White paint and a brush (to paint the plate white) - 3 lights (I took very strong ones, 300W each) - 3 dimmers (to adjust the lights to the right level) I hope to build the display in the next week and I'm really hoping these efforts will show in the picture quality when I present my next MOC. My setup will be used to (amongst other stuff) photograph ships, so it has to be rather big.

Hobbies is an option, but there are so many more possibilities. For example I'd hope to see a shipyard with a ship under construction, or the mighty Spanish armada sailing the seas to find new colonies, or the silver fleet returning home in Spain, or workers unloading a trade ship returning from the Indies, or a market scene in a beautiful coastal town, etc...

The future of farm (contains spoilers for 2010 sets
Bonaparte replied to lifeinplastic's topic in LEGO Town
Farm still has a lot to explore and I believe there's enough idea's to keep this sub-theme of City going for some more years. I'd love to see more animals, but I'm already grateful for getting cows and new the pigs . Animals can be used for many themes (Castle, Pirates, Indy, PoP, ...) so it's worth the investment to develop them. I do hope TLG continues this line and that it continue to be the catalyst for more and different kind of animals. On a side note, I'm happy to see the new Camel and this other desert animal (if only I knew the name) in the upcoming Prince of Persia theme Animals ON!
