I'm very impressed with the roof technique that SlyOwl used in his latest MOC. Treasure chest lids for roofs!

22-25th of April is fine for me

A perfect review! I love both the review and the set. Also the box-art is very well done by TLG. I like that you have included some shots of the original LEGO catalog and still remember looking for hours in these catalogs as a kid. I don't own this set (yet) or any of the other Islander sets, but I do have a bunch of Islanders for fighting my Spaniards

As the question was answered I'll close this.

Hey Pally! Nice to have you on board I can't wait to see your first creation. I'm sure you have some good inspiration from all the stuff we saw at LEGO World.

Righto

New X men Origins, Wolverine.
Bonaparte replied to IronArtist's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
It looks just like Wolverine! Will you try it out on a real LEGO head? -
I've seen both the old and new series but don't remember this ship. I'm planning to see the series again (after I've watched the new BSG Movie called "The Plan"), so I'll pay special attention to discovering this ship. You did a very nice job on making it look so very similar to the real thing. That's quite an achievement considering the scale you used.

This weekend a bunch of members from Eurobricks/Classic-Pirates.com went to LEGO World. From left to right on the picture below we have Captain Green Hair, Teddy, me, Captain Blackmoor, Pally, Admiral Croissant. Click the picture for the full fotoset about LEGO World 2009. We saw a very cool pirate display made by the Belgian LUG (BeLug). Click the picture for more pics of the display. Also I saw a very special MOC from "The Land of Ooit" called Waterloo. Click the pic to see more.

Actually, this MOC is so remarkable that I've decided to make a thread for it inside the pirates MOC forum.

95b At LEGO World I've met a really nice guy who had make a very interesting MOC. It's called Project Waterloo and you can read all about it his blog (only for the Dutchies). He was able to put injection needles inside the minifigs to make the working fountains. Also he did paint all the soldiers by hand. Here's a picture I made at LEGO World last Sunday: Some more pics I've found on the creators blog:

It does Here's a better picture: There are little injection needles inside those figs for the water!

New 2010 LEGO Atlantis Pics!
Bonaparte replied to TheLegoBoss's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks, but as some said there's already a thread discussing these pics. We've removed your sig as it was waaaay to big. Please check site guidelines (above every page) for max allowed size. -
LEGO World had a huge Pirates display made by the member of BeLUG. This thread gives you an impression of their beautiful display. From left to right: Captain Green Hair, Teddy, me, Captain Blackmoor, Pally, Admiral Croissant More pictures (including the non-pirate stuff) is here.

The size of the scan in this library is the correct one. I've printed that sail myself already to put on the ITP ship.

WIP: Achille and Guerrière, French Frigates of 28 guns
Bonaparte replied to BrickPerfection's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great stuff, I've been keeping my eye on this very promising ship. It's great that your adding so much of your own idea's in the design; that was what CGH was hoping for when he launched his tutorial. Keep the WIP pics coming, I'll be here to check them out and maybe learn a few new techniques -
LEGO World 2009 - Netherlands (Zwolle)
Bonaparte replied to Bricks's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I don't mind that there's nothing new. I'm going there to meet some fantastic people IRL that I only know via the Internet until now. And to see some awesome LEGO MOCs of course -

LEGO World 2009 - Netherlands (Zwolle)
Bonaparte replied to Bricks's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Are you saying there is hot news at LEGO World 2009 (which started today)? Or the opposite? That's not clear from your post. -
You asked in the other thread: Morten replied: Because of this reason and also because Kim's wife might give birth earlier than the 9th of May I'm a bit more in favor for doing it on April 15 - April 18. My sister just had a baby and it came 14 days earlier than planned. I guess that a baby coming 3 weeks happens less than it coming 2 weeks earlier.
