  1. We are funded by the Sicilian mafia, some African governments and a Columbian drug cartel. I really can't give more details
  2. Eurobricks will not have any paid subscriptions, now or in the future. Some good things are still free
  3. One more week before the deadline, so if you didn't share your idea's yet, don't wait too long or it will be too late.
  4. I will make like an official report containing a general direction the fans like for the Pirates theme and also a ranking of idea's. So if a most people want a certain set, it will be ranked as #1. I plan to include a top 10 this way. Basically I'll start by going through this thread, creating a list of all idea's and next list the number of requests for each idea. That will be my input for writing the report. We also had a similar thread like this one (mentioned in the first post of this thread) which I've got already analyzed. Also the input from that thread will be used for the report.
  5. I'm reporting this to the LEGO Group right away via the ambassador program. Thanks for the report Apache.
  6. In this thread you can ask whatever you want and all your idea's will be going to the LEGO Group after the month has ended.
  7. Siegfried? Have you been drinking Zuloo? I suggest you move away from your prison island and come to live somewhere closer to Germany, that should make a difference. I wonder if Siegfried has the same slowness. He also lives on your island
  8. On my side it is loading very fast as always. I did also check our servers log and it's running at optimal performance. We didn't have any speed issues since our last upgrade a few months ago. Our server is located in Germany. It has a lot of memory and a disk raid array (raid 5), which means all data is spread over several disks for better performance and speed.
  9. I'm honored people would like to discuss non LEGO Star Wars stuff on Eurobricks, but just like the LEGO Company we stay tuned on our core business: Bricks!
  10. I'm sure you'll fit right in. Have fun!
  11. All clear Captain! How many guns will this ship have on it's gundeck? The combination of black and dark red looks great
  12. Interesting, pipe cleaners, ... first time I hear about them. I doubt in Belgium many still smoke pipe. I'll try to find some if I can to experiment. Thanks for the idea!
  13. Welcome at Eurobricks! I'm very much looking forward to seeing your custom work.
  14. Can you share the secret of making such a plume?
  15. Impressive Z, the dock looks great. Now I'd really like to see a picture of the PotC dock. Or maybe I should just watch those movies.
  16. One more week and I'll see the latest update of the Prins Willim with my own eyes
  17. Where did you hear that Zorro? Stop spreading these rumors about me Nice custom Hound Knight!
  18. Thanks for all the idea's and feedback so far, keep'em coming! At the end of this month I'll write the report for LEGO based on all the received ideas. And reading through this thread, some big lines start to surface already.
  19. Mandatory? No, you can also decide not to join the academy and post your reviews on Eurobricks. But once you decide to join, you're expected to follow the program as teachers will be investing their time in you.
  20. This has turned out to be a perfect ship in so called "Minifig Illusion Scale". The proven color schema, authentic looking sails made out of canvas, rope rigging and a ton of details are the main ingredients that lift your ship above that of many other builders. This one belongs for sure in the rather short list of realist looking sailing brick ship models. In short: Awesome work Admiral, you've got a fan here!
  21. I doesn't happen often, but sometimes a LEGO ship is made that looks like a real scale model. To achieve this, several techniques can be used to give the ship the right shape (not an easy thing to do with LEGO), real rope rigging has to be added and the sails should be made out of canvas with an authentic look. The 64-gun Sang Royal of our member Admiral Bejaune has it all. Visit the discussion thread for more pictures of this beauty.
  22. I'm very much impressed by the looks of this fortress and it's playability level. And the mosaics give it a nice extra touch
  23. Yep, I'll close this thread.
  24. Nice work! The title immediatly drew my attention as I've just finished the 2nd book of the Brethren trilogy. The fig you made seems very accurate for a Saracen under the command of the great Saladin.
  25. Make a better MOC next time and you'll get some feedback for sure
