There is not much to see inside the Excalibur today. Just an open space. Only some idea's in my head :-). Do I understand correctly that you are building a ship Lord Norrington? I would love to see some pictures. For ship names of the royal navy I use this link. Thats where I found the name "Excalibur".

Jep, the red windows are included but only part of the window panes. The shop where I bought the windows didn't have enough brown window panes. I will do some more buying when I have a clear view on the pieces I need to finish the rest of the ship (masts, figurehead, ...) since this is my first MOC sailing ship. But once the hull is finished I will take some pictures and post them in this thread. I already did some modifications that make it look better. I''m getting quite satisfied with how it looks.

Just ordered on bricklink all the bricks I need to finish about 90% of the ships hull. Decided eventually to use red windows with brown panes, lots of red flags (for the gun ports), cannons, some black and red bricks I missed, ... Next week I will be on a 4-day business trip to Jordan. By the time I get back, I hope to have received my orders...

I'm happy to see that your are MOC-ing, expecialy when the result is so good. The MOC has the right islander look and feeling. Now I feel really bad that I don't have any islander sets or figs.

I'm my search for a figurehead for my ship, it is clear that I don't have to count on the TLC. These figureheads are just so ugly. Please let me know if you have seen a really cool figurehead on a MOC ship.

The reason I'm thinking about a figurehead is because it have to come up with one for the frigate that I'm building. This means I need to do some research in google/wiki to look for some good examples. Not an easy job because I want something simple, beautiful and powerful. And the colors have to go with the rest of the ship :-). Is there already a seperate thread on ships figureheads? Maybe I need to make one!

This figurehead looks a bit strange. It doesn't go well with the rest of the ship. You have an eye for detail Mr. Phes! It should have been something more dramatic and with other colors. Now that we are talking about figureheads, was their purpose only decorative of did it have a special meaning? Which nation started using figureheads and where lies their origin? My guess is that they are a symbolic protector of the ship.

The smile was because I was just joking when I suggested there was a virus on the forum. Now I see that he is not an islander. For an untrained eye (I don't have any islanders and only 1 adventurers set) he can be mistaken for an islander. I like that fig. Will try to get one via BL.

That's strange indeed. Maybe a virus has infected the forum :-) Which set did you vote for oo7? You must have lots of expertise on the Islanders since you have one in your signature.

Do you have some 'special connections' in Legoland California to get your ships displayed or do you just knock at the door and say: "Hey, I build a new ship, can I put it on display in your park please"? It must be really weard, to build a ship and not have it with you afterwards in your house. Well, I guess it is a great honor to have your MOC on display in Legoland.

Do you have plans to rebuild the fort to its full glory? Maybe add some cannons and a watchtower? Now it looks like it has been under some heavy gunfire from an ememy ship.

I love to revive an old poll, I'm sure Mr. KAHUKA will be happy with this. I realized I don't have any islanders and I'm considering to buy some (maybe even make a small army X-D ). My vote goes to King Kahuka's Throne (6262). When the crew of my frigate would find this in the jungle during their search for water, they better hurry back to their ship. I don't own any lego trains (no space), so my vote is based only on the pictures. My favorite is the 4554 Metro Station since is looks just great with a little shop, the high wall with the windows. Looks very authentic. I love these polls, they give a nice overview.

I noticed this beautiful castle already on BS. The pictures are very nice and show some good details. Exellent choice to use the Black Falcons to inhabit the castle. Is is possible to show some pictures of the internal of the castle? Or are the roofs not removable?

Looks good, but it should at least have a roof in case there is a tropical storm.

Is it still possible to open parts of the ship to have access to cabin and the lowest gundeck?
