LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Bonaparte replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
We have many pirate torso's available in the library. Can I ask why you need these specific colors? Well, it doesn't matter. It only takes 1 minute to change some colors. Here they are: The one with yellow lines looks really bad, so I didn't include it. -
I have read your welcome thread Mr. Cutlass, but it is only a welcome thread and should not become a MOC thread. Don't hesitate to open a new thread in the Pirate MOC forum once you have some pictures of your ship. I promise you that I won't ignore them and give you my comments ;-) This in not the best place to ask. Maybe raise the question in the pirate torso library. Sorry P. to be a bit off-topic in this thread about your incredible ship.

If you want, we can change the title and description of this topic. Something like: Title: The ship (better to write galleon?) Dos Mas Cervezas Description: Work in progress by Legopirates What do you think Mr. Legopirates?

Reading these posts, the conclusion seems to be: "Some people are spamming because they want a higher rank, so lets get rid of the ranking system." I don't agree with this logic! I like the ranking system as it is today. Keep the ranking system (and I can give lots of reasons for keeping it), but let us act much harder and faster against "spammers". It's very easy to detect a spammer: A user with less than 100 posts who is making lots of short posts. Just... ban!!! I fully agree Asuka! We shouldn't change our nice community because of some bad kids. We should fight to keep it as it is!

Mr. Hobbes, can you make an official statement that you didn't make this MOC but found in on BS :-D
-
Dag Wout, welkom op het eurobricks forum. Blij te lezen dat je ook een piraten-fan bent. Back to English :-D
-
A huge improvement over the original. The size is rather accurate now for a real Fire Station. I don't think this is Mr. Hobbes creation because the title contains "brickshelf". So he probably found it and wanted to share it with the rest of us.

Shakira - Don't bother

I voted for the Sabre Island! Why? It's the best in the list :-D
-
This is something amazing! So big, so many guns and lots of details. Does the ship already have a name? When do you plan to have it finished? And who is this young man ;-) ? Is that you Mr. Legopirate?

I agree, if I could only steal one of these sets, it would be this one. An excellent outpost for the imperial soldiers! It would be great to have an event like this in my neighborhood. I would most certainly participate. Its good to get some direct feedback on your MOCs

As I said before, very original idea to make the cabin like this. Its a challenge to make this look right. I'm looking forward to see the end result!

The pirate moderators can't add a poll in the pirate forum :S What's happening with the world?
-
I don't see the Sabre Island (6265)? I think that's most certainly a small outpost. And a don't see a poll, but that's probably because you have to be a knight before you can make polls. Do you want me to add a poll to this thread Mr. Tully?

The seller was banned from ebay... So no refund 8-|

This is a nice ship. I like the shape and colors of the ship. Very original design. The way the cockpit opens is rather unique.

You haven't hear about the Sharpe series Mr Phes? The opening music of the episodes is really superb. I bought a Chinese version of the DVD-box on ebay (to save some money). But the 2 last DVDs don't work :S Here he is, Richard Sharpe and his chosen men: And here are some more pictures from that incredible website:

This looks promising Mr. Duke. I don't think I have seen a Lego ship before with the windows in a bowed curve. The pictures are a bit dark (or is it my screen?), so it's hard to tell how you made the curved shape.
-
Thanks! All tips are helpful. I didn't bother building the mailbox and tree because they will be removed anyway. I'm still not sure if I will keep the windows. I'll have to see if I have something better in stock.

Which is your favourite base in the Pirate LEGO theme?

I agree. Moved! -
My escort frigate (yes probably not an accurate description)
Bonaparte replied to Admiral_Wig's topic in Pirate MOCs
Happy to see you have posted one of your ships Lord Admiral! It's always good to see a rebuilded BSB, especially when it is well done. You added lots of firepower to the ship. I'm especially fond of the chasers. And you made use of Tumblehome *y* I have resized the picture to 800x600 because I was a bit too big to post here. We have a wonderful guide (written by Mr. Phes) for resizing images (using a freeware tool): The Batch Image Resize Tutorial. Might be handy for future posts when you get that new camera ;-) . -
Here's a priest (or pope) I made some time ago: More details in the making of a new pope thread.

Which is your favourite base in the Pirate LEGO theme?
Bonaparte replied to Tully's topic in LEGO Pirates
According to wikipedia: A military base is a facility directly owned and operated by and/or for the military (or pirates in our case) or one of its branches that shelters military equipment and personnel, and facilitates training and operations. In general, a military base provides accommodations for one or more units, but it may also be used as a command center, a training ground, or a proving ground. I have to agree with oo7 that the Armada Sentry is an outpost of a base or (even more likely) a small trading post. -
Well, initially I will be transforming the garage into a place where the governor can have dinner. This place will only have the roof and some fences (no walls), so the governor can watch his garden while eating. At each corner I'm planning to put a pillar. The doors will be changed into something less modern and the garden will be tropical with palm trees, flowers. The house will probably be located in Jamaica (or one of the other Caribbean Islands). I bought this set in a regular toy shop for 55 euro. Welcome at Eurobricks Lord Admiral. Very smart move to put your first post in my topic ;-) I would be happy to give you my comments once you post those pictures of your ships!

The Governors House (WIP): About a month ago I bought the Lego 4956 Creator set because I thought it would a good starting point for building a "Governors House". I have some idea's in my head to transform this building. Here are the first pictures of the house without any modifications:
