Wellington and the British squares: Whenever the English infantry was threatened by the French cavalry, they formed a square to protect themselves. Four ranks deep, vulnerable to artillery or infantry, but deadly to cavalry. My British regiments in square formation: A view from above: Arthur Wellesley, The duke of Wellington: Commander of the allied army in the Peninsular. The regimental colors are kept near the center of the square for protection: French Cuirassiers and Hussars are preparing to attack the British square: French Cuirassiers: The elite heavy cavalry, serving as the shock troops of the cavalry of Napoleon. French Hussars: These fast, light cavalrymen were the eyes, ears and egos of Napoleonic armies. They regarded themselves as the best horsemen and swordsmen (beau sabreurs) in the entire Arm

If I would find a toystore here in Belgium that sold the longboat for only 30 euro, I would finally buy one. But I haven't seen it for that price yet.

Thanks to Mr. zouave for bringing my very first post in EB back to the surface. ;-) Those historical figs on ebay look great! But since he's trying to sell them, I don't think he'll be sharing the designs with us. His stickers are of a better quality than my inktjet printer can make.

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Bonaparte replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks for sharing these designs Mr. Pirate Maniac! I'm sure they will start appearing on some pirate ships in the future. I'll soon add them to the library. -
Excellent work! It does me so much pleasure to see some new custom torso's. It's been a while since someone made some. It's hard to choose a favorite one from these, since they all look good. Now all you need is a pirate ship ;-)
-
Excellent result Mr. Tedbeard! Lots of details in a small avatar, but it still looks good. Did you start from a picture of the minifig? Looks like it is too clean to be a picture.
-
Nice avatar Mr. Zouave. Welcome at Eurobricks! Why did you choose Zouave as your username? The original Zouave regiments were raised by the French army, but the minifig in your avatar seems to be a Union Zouave.

I always try to go for: dimensions: 360pixels - 300 pixels resolution: 600dpi - 600dpi Then you get something like this: -

I didn't know you also made decals. These would look great on any pirate ship. If you post them in a higher resolution, then I'll add them to the library. -
Impressive! He must be a mighty wizard to live in a tower like this. I wonder which special powers he possesses...
-
But what I really want to know: Will Sean Connery play a role in the new Indy 4?
-
Nice tower ;-) It's tall, but doesn't look dull because you've put in lots of details to keep in interesting. Like Starwars4J I was thinking "Does it have an interior?".

An impressive first post Gaetano! I'm very much looking forward to see the demo-fig. I suggest you post the demo in the Pirate Lego MOCs forum, so it gets the attention it deserves (I will put them both in the torso library). I have some questions about the decal, but I'll wait till the demo is ready. -
I'm very happy to welcome a pirate customizer to our community! Thats a nice sword you have made. Can you share us some of the tricks for making a sword like that? The overall figs looks very good! Can't wait to see more customs from you. Do you only plan to make pirate customs or also Napoleonic soldiers, British officers, ..... ? EDIT: Did you already have a look at our Pirate torso LIBRARY?

Blacktron was one of my favorite themes during my youth. Seeing this (huge) ship brings back lots of good memories.

It's funny to see all these Vader pictures. Some people should really invest more money into their costume :-D
-
Is THIS your biggest problem? Then you are verrrry lucky :-D Seriously, why are you so interested in Mr. Phes? If you want to stalk him, I can provide you with his email address and telephone number X-D Doesn't this belong in the Community-forum?

Maybe one of the moderators of the "Your Own Creations"-forum could update the title/description of this topic. Suggestion: Title: Model Trucks Description: by Marcel van der Linden

Are you talking about the Duke? He has been in Iraq already?

Someone has the New Creator mini promo sets
Bonaparte replied to xenologer's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's a cool cement mixer. Today I had to unload a real one for making the fundaments of my house. -
I'm also interested to now if you are the creator of these trucks. They look almost like the real versions. Incredible that this is possible with Lego. As always, I prefer models to be on minifig scale (I wanna play :-P ).
-
That's a great idea, why don't they just do this :-D They will have all problems solved in no time.
-
I was in a European mood when I wrote that :-D The Belgians only had Congo as a colony.
-
Nice to see how you used this creator set to make these different houses. I favor the US Style house over the European version. Good to know that I'm not the only one thats experimenting with these sets. I'm currently using this set to build a 18th century Caribbean governors house.

Yes, Mr. Phes, you're been long enough on our penal colony. You can come home now X-D
