Wow guys, I didn't know all that stuff about Native Americans. I actually never met one, so all I know comes from movies and books. I've learned some things while reading through all that information. If you guys didn't live that far, we could discuss all this over some beers. Why don't you all come and live in Belgium? We could talk, build some MOCs, do some wargames,...? Wouldn't that be great?!
  2. Welcome Rob, it's a good idea to register and join our discussions! Enjoy yourself!
  3. I can't find the words to describe what I think of this fortress... I stopped giving suggestions for improvements until I see how it all fits together. But already in it's current state, this is my #1 Lego fortress ever!
  4. I like how this ship looks: very spooky! And you might be one of the first to use that black hull to make a ship like this. I detect a lot of creativeness in this MOC!
  5. No problem Andreas, we are all drunken pirates on this forum :-D. I've changed the name in the library.
  6. Is "Sarah" the official name of the character that has this torso in the potc movies? Just checking, because I'm putting all these torso's in the library and I can't find a Sarah in the character lists.

Just imagine this ship being 1/3 longer and with sails. Then it suddenly becomes very realistic! The colors (brown/yellow) are also very realistic for an English ship.
  8. Thanks. I plan to do some minor changes: - Change the way the anchor is hanging (as suggested by Mr. Tiber). This was discussed recently by Z. and P. in some thread. I'll search for it to get some inspiration - Add some more ropes. I already constructed some smaller cannons base on your "cannon index" but they were not high enough to shoot over the side. I'll need to make some holes for the guns. I'll do some experimenting tonight. The pool is at my parents house. My house is still under construction. It actually looks a bit like a pool these days :-D. I took a good look at some of the Constitutions pictures. I got some ideas that I will try-out one of these evenings. Interesting to see how the carronades are placed on the deck of the Constitution. I never really paid attention to that.
  9. I've added all the torso's of this thread in the library (those that were still missing). Just to be certain, the one above is an Austrian Light Cavalry uniform?
  10. FINALLY! I was wondering when you would continue on your ship :-D . Good to see you started again. I'm very interested in seeing how you progress.

You are right, presenting yourself with a MOC is a good idea. And you are very welcome on our forum!!! Sometimes we have to work with the bricks we have, but that's when your creativity starts to work to find solutions. Maybe one day (when you have some more brown bricks), you could lengthen the ship a bit. But you certainly did a good job on your first ship. And your pictures are very focussed and clear (that's not always the case :-D).
  12. Too much fantasy. And I don't like how Johnny Depp is bringing his character. Just not my cup of tea... But these movies keep pirates alive amongst kids and adults, so that's good for our forum.
  13. Another excellent review Mr. Yoda. I agree, this set is a must have for any town fan. It looks soooo good.
  14. This guy is the perfect crew member for any kind of ship (pirate, imperial armada, English, French, ...). So I'm very happy this fig exists and I can always use more of them.
  15. I won't see this movie. I went to the cinema for the first potc movie, but I was soooo bored. Just not realistic enough for me...
  16. This must be a very fast ship with all those sails. Speed is very important for a pirate ship! My only remark is the height of the cabin. I always prefer it a bit lower so it looks more integrated in the ship. And because of the height of the cabin, the captain can't look under the sails.
  17. Simon, does "complete" mean including box and instructions? Nice set!
  18. I hate people being rude, unfriendly, nonconstructive, ... on a forum. If we are all afraid that a topic might have been discussed already, there would not be many new topics. But some newbies should first do some reading before starting new topics (unless they are about a MOC they have made).
  19. Beautiful!!! I've enjoyed these pics! Nice find!
  20. Very colorful, but still looking good. I'm not so sure about the usage of a garbage can for the engine. And maybe the cockpit should be a bit bigger. Overall, nice design and find!
  21. Nice pics, but I don't understand. Why not just buy these in Hong Kong? Aren't there any Lego shops in China?
  22. In this occasion I don't agree with Mr. Tiber. I actually like the colors of this ship. What's the meaning of "Hvide
  23. I thought that this Islander was carrying a human head from an enemy (maybe to cook it) :'-( .
  24. The overall looks of this MOC are impressive. This must be one of the biggest Islander MOCs that exist. But considering all the details that are everywhere, makes this MOC even better. I like this a lot Aredhel!!!
  25. I've contacted the creator of this fortress. He is not interested in joining EB at this moment, but he asked to relay a message.
