Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
lightningtiger replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Try Toy Corner in the north east And after recent events I guess they needed something to bring back the customers. I'm very surprised it wasn't built at Movieworld or Seaworld ? -
Wow, now that's impressive and a bank breaker too ! Brick On 'LegoSjaak' !
-
Okay, so I have seen the first shots of the sets I'm buying min-year......the beach set is okay except the volleyball net looks really bad sorry to say. The bus station set is one the best I've seen in a while I'm impressed cute news paper stand and I see payback to those cheap Chinese Lego fake makers and their bus station sets Now the cargo terminal, positive is road transport though I feel it's missing something but I can't place a finger on it. I guess we'll just wait till NYTF to see them in their full glory.
-
Awesome.......the beach set sounds fun (I wonder if it comes with someone who looks like The Hoff ? LOL), the freight terminal sounds even more awesome I might buy two and can't wait for the pictures. Now the bus set sounds a 2017 redo of a classic town set from about 1979 if my memory serves me correct.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
lightningtiger replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Hmm, sounds like an idea for a contest on Eurobricks.......In have a 16 wide modular on Ideas which is my gap filler at the moment Though I wonder now how they will top the AS later this year ? -
Hospital eh ? A baby in the mindoll series ? Grand parents in the minidoll series ? Questions which need answering, well for us city folk the instructions will allow us a re-colour to complete it's city-ization.
-
Oh, really to this tiger that sounds........ Plus an assortment of other animals would be very handy.........we're going to the zoo, zoo, how about you, you ! LOL You know I didn't think the freight terminal could be part of the harbour sub-theme though it does make sense. I still hope it's a road freight depot with a fork lift and a truck, etc.,.
-
I would say fun at the beach will be similar to fun in the park with lots of minifigs the more the merrier right ? Freight terminal could be for road frieght......YES please because we only need a truck stop one day and my life will be 10% complete ! LOL

An awesome review for an awesome set, number one on my shopping list for this year. I dig all the different build styles to make up every building, I wonder how many different designers at Lego took part in this set ? Thank you for doing this mega review 'Dragonator', Brick On Review On !

My suggestion is closer to Warner Bros. heart - LOONIE TUNES Yes, Bugs and crew - why not ? The crazy action they can up is the inspiration for things like the Simpsons.

LEGO Ideas Discussion
lightningtiger replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree, a great MOC doesn't mean it would make a great set. My designs are using designed with Lego City or Creator in mind as well as a few of my friends there on Ideas working both in brick and digital. Like I wrote if a project doesn't reach it's 100 rapidly then it's doomed......I can see a time when there might only be a hundred projects to support on ideas and then people won't bother with it anymore. -

You do make some valid points, but I'm on there more than EB so I see and also chat to other designers who feel the same. Resubmitting a project is almost a waste of time, as it hardy regains half of it's previous votes - might be fairer if the old votes carried over as long the members are still valid/active. So far in the last three days only one project has rocketed just over a hundred from it's posting date but where will it be in two weeks. I have discovered that if you don't reach a hundred in under five days you are toast. On top of that you have the challenge than of another 900 in 1 year, we must be realistic with Ideas that less than 1% off ideas will even make it to 10000 yet alone been made into a set. Though it is odd to see the number of themes Ideas have brought us especially through the Dimensions gaming platform remember Portals ? It made 10000 and turn down by Lego Ideas team yet become part of the first wave of Dimension game pieces, by the looks Red Dwarf has headed the same way. Cuusoo and now Ideas have been running for a long time so projects posted say three years hmm, I wonder where they might end up. I don't quit, I'll keep posting fresh projects on Ideas and my luck as well as many of my friends I have there might change for the better......so Brick On everyone ! -

I'm losing faith in Ideas, pouring time and worse lots of money into projects for no return, not even for a hundred supports in 60 days. Funny very few projects reach that mark, about one in hundred, my gut feeling is LEGO will shut it down one day as they will have grabbed enough ideas for themselves. Lucky for me I build for my pleasure not for profit so I'm happy to have my own modulars, etc., in my collection proud of what I have achieved. -
Ah, so the city designers are using Germany to base their sets on ? Interesting, hmm, I was originally not liking the money transporter but it's okay since 'K-D' explained the back story. Our hopes are at NY Toy Fair time so we can see the second wave sets - fingers crossed it's a boom year not a bust.

Excellent designs there 'PUCI', they look very realistic indeed. Great to see that the minifigs can sit side by side too. Brick On 'PUCI' !

Thank you very much, the sign was the hardest part to come up with but only took a day and half to build from scratch. Currently it's support count on Ideas is 28, oh well I was hoping for more. Brick On 'Withacee' ! P.S. I will be designing more modulars
