  7. OMG, where do I start.......Thunderbirds, Buck Rogers, original BSG, Babylon 5, Blue Thunder, Knight Rider, Emergency (my number one of all time as a kid), anything with Daffy Duck. Most Cartoon Network shows, gee more will come to mind !
  8. One word.......AWESOME !
  9. I'm old school open backed from way back, but combining more than one open back set can be made into a modular style structure.....there have been quite a few examples of them over the years.
  10. Cool looking engine 'legoman666'......Brick On !
  11. AWESOME city layout 'melbs'.......Brick On !
  12. Thanks 'jonwil' for the lxf for the windmill, I'll look into making one similar for New Mannum perhaps.

  14. Hmm, not really my cup of tea.....I used 8x16 tiles for road surfaces.
  15. Now this is the best one so far, Brick On 'CRH' !
  16. If you check out the latest posted topic by 'jonwil' you'll find that windmill plus a few other farm items. Plus you can visit some of my rural store MOCs and see how I do humble farm equipment.
  17. They don't want to break a contract with a company with more cash, etc., than Lego.....right ?
  18. Simply it depends on your layout you want, modern big city style then tall, but slightly more classic old world feel city wide might be a way to go.
  19. Wonderful work there 'jonwil', I really like the windmill - now that I would like to an LDD lxf file for sure. Lovely tribute indeed.....oh, neat little cricket bat too.......Brick On 'jonwil' !
  20. I would also say go the GE, you could go Bricklink to find the earlier sets i.e. FB or GG but they'll be in the very high dollars range by now.
  21. Excellent fire tender design there 'PlayerFromTaiwan'.......Brick On !
  22. Handy if you are hunting for a special one......as parents will just say to a kid grab one and lets go. It will be funny to see people just standing there for 15 minutes feeling bags.
  23. Now maybe we should consider the fact that Lego Star Wars, like all of the other Lego products evolve.....hence for the large number of X-wing, Tie fighters, etc., also that they believe the fan base for Lego Star Wars only lasts a few years per KFOL/TFOL.......perhaps thinking only AFOL's buy the UCS series of sets. Plus something else, the latest additions to BP's the stud firing pistols.....add a play factor, just like the new Haspro SW products where you drive the Falcon or a Star Destroyer through armies lined up like old school green army soldiers. They are all trying to compete against video games, TV and the internet for kids downtime or playtime.......and to keep those cash registers ringing up the sales and dragging in the cash.
  24. That new Quinjet is a snap for Lego to release, lots of wedge plates would be in Lego's version.
  25. A hospital or university would be bigger than the usual footprint of a modular set would it not ?
